Toilet hut detailed drawing with dimensions. Drawings of wooden toilets for summer cottages

A toilet in the country is an irreplaceable thing for every owner suburban area we have to deal with the construction of this important facility. Usually, these buildings are inconspicuous, so they try to hide them in the depths of the garden or in the backyard of the site. But you can make a country toilet a decoration of the yard - choose an unusual design of the tapa teremka. The toilet-teremok resembles a fairy-tale house, its main element is a strongly sloping roof, the slopes of which, sometimes, reach the very ground. This design looks impressive, the toilet no longer needs to be hidden, on the contrary, it may well become the envy of neighbors.

This article will be about how to build a suburban toilet teremok with your own hands, here you can also find drawings and dimensions of this type of structure.

Features of the teremok

The country toilet-teremok looks like a house with a very sharp and high roof, the slopes of which reach at least the middle of the building. From the photo of the finished toilets, you can understand that the inside of the house is more spacious than in an ordinary rectangular toilet. This is due to the sloping side walls and roof slopes, which significantly increase inner space the tower is at the level of the middle of the walls, the floor, at the same time, has the same size as in the standard design.

It turns out that more space is not required for the construction of a toilet, but it will be spacious and comfortable inside.

There are several more advantages of this type of design:

  1. Long slopes reliably protect the side surfaces of the toilet-terem from drafts and strong winds. It is recommended to locate the tower so that one of its side walls is on the leeward side.
  2. The toilet-teremok is spacious, so it can be easily insulated with the help of any insulating material and use in winter time years - there is enough space in the toilet-house.
  3. On a strongly sloping roof, snow will not accumulate, water does not stagnate there, which minimizes the likelihood of roof leaks and its deformation due to load.
  4. If you decorate the toilet-teremok with beautiful details (wrought-iron awnings, latches, carved window), you will get a real fabulous house, which, indeed, is not a shame to show to neighbors and guests.
  5. The teremka toilet is suitable both for installation on a conventional cesspool and for modern peat and chemical processing systems.
Advice! You can further increase the free space inside the terem by installing a toilet instead of the toilet seat and bench that is usual for giving.

There are some drawbacks in the design of the toilet-teremka, for example, a larger amount of material will be required for the roof, but it is not cheap. But the walls of the toilet can be made of almost any material, wood, remnants of brick, cinder block or foam concrete are quite suitable. You can even use thick plywood - it all depends on the capabilities and imagination of the master.

It is very important during the construction of a toilet of such a complex shape as a teremok, to observe all angles and accurately measure the dimensions, otherwise the parts will not subsequently fit together.

How to build a toilet teremok with your own hands

Inspired by the photos of the finished teremki, you can get to work. The first step home master there should be a choice of a construction scheme and a sketch of its drawing. A drawing of a country toilet of the teremok type proves that the roof takes most the whole structure.

The dimensions of the toilet room are determined at the design stage. Practice shows that a teremka with sides of 140x200 cm is quite enough for comfortable use.

Important! If there is not enough space on the site, you can reduce the size of the toilet. The height of the building can also be changed downward, but in this case, you will have to make a semicircular or triangular door.

At the very beginning, it is worth thinking about the presence of a window, as well as about such an important part of any country toilet as ventilation. Vent hole should be as high as possible so that the thrust is stronger and the atmosphere inside the building is comfortable. In summer-type buildings, it is quite possible to combine a ventilation duct with a window, while simply cutting a hole in the upper part of the front wall of the toilet-teremka.

For an all-season insulated teremka toilet, it is better to glaze the window, and ventilation can be brought out with a pipe directly to the roof.

When all the nuances of construction are thought out, you can proceed directly to work on the toilet.

Creation of the foundation for the toilet-teremka

Usually, a country house toilet is built, after all, of wood. Wood is affordable, cheaper than stone materials, and easy to work with alone. The weight of the wooden toilet teremka will be small, so you can put it on a lightweight foundation.

Two types of foundations are suitable: strip and columnar. For creating strip foundation a trench is dug under the toilet with a depth of about 25-30 cm, its width is approximately 20 cm. broken brick, cobblestones, crushed stone, construction waste, lay out reinforcement, then all this is poured with concrete based on cement. When the foundation hardens, you can start building the toilet itself.

The columnar foundation consists of four pillars, 25x25 cm in size, located at the corners of the future toilet. The depth of the pits for the posts is also small - about 30 cm. You can lay out the posts made of brick or cinder block or fill them with concrete, having previously installed metal reinforcement inside the pits.

Attention! The metal rods of the reinforcement must necessarily protrude from the foundation, because it is to them that the frame of the toilet-tower will be attached.

A cesspool or recess is dug inside the frozen foundation for installing a chemical waste cleaner. The walls of an ordinary cesspool can be laid out with bricks, cinder blocks or rubber tires. The bottom should be covered with rubble and sand to improve drainage and increase absorbency.

Construction of the frame of the toilet teremka

The frame of the toilet teremka is going to flat surface, close to the finished foundation. The material used is wooden bar better to take wood conifers, it better tolerates atmospheric influences and temperature differences.

The frame of the toilet itself is assembled from a bar, with a section of 11x11 cm. The length of the beams corresponds to the width of the toilet and is 140 cm. The beams are laid out parallel to each other on the short sides of the foundation. The basement of the toilet is preliminarily isolated from wood with two layers of roofing material.

Now floor boards are stuffed onto the finished frame. WITH front side the floorboard of the teremka is polished, and from the seamy, it is covered with the development of automotive oil so that the tree does not rot.

At the corners of the toilet, four vertical posts from a bar of the same section are installed. The height of the racks is approximately 150 cm. They can be installed strictly vertically or made a slight deviation outward of the toilet in order to increase the building area.

Roof rafters are attached to the beams, their length is about two meters. Now all the details of the toilet are held together by horizontal beams that fit onto the ends of the support posts.

Attention! The wooden parts of the toilet are first fastened with nails, and after checking all angles and dimensions, they are firmly fixed with studs and nuts, as well as metal brackets.

The finished toilet frame can now be put in place and secured by connecting it to the floor and frame.

Final work

Now you need to install the frame for the toilet door. Usually, the dimensions of the doorway for country toilets are standard - 180x90 cm. The box is assembled from a bar or thick boards, fixed with studs, the holes for which are drilled obliquely.

The walls of the toilet are sheathed with planed boards or round timber, loose in half. The wood is nailed down with nails with bitten off caps.

Boards are also stuffed onto the roof of the tower, first the upper and lower ones are laid, then the space between them is filled. Roof boards should be longer than the width of the toilet, ideally they protrude 18-20 cm beyond the level of the walls.

The roof of the teremka toilet can be covered with ondulin, shingles or a metal profile. The main thing is that the roofing material is not heavy. After that, the end boards are stuffed, closing the side of the roof, and the ridge is installed.

A window is cut out in the upper part of the frontal wall of the tower. Inside the toilet, a shelf for a toilet seat is installed or a toilet is mounted.

Important! If you decide to put a toilet in the tower, you must first nail it to the wrong side of the floor wooden blocks- heavy plumbing will be attached to them.

It remains to screw the handle, hinges to the tower, hang the door, varnish the built toilet or paint it with paint.

Outcomes

It is quite simple to build a toilet with your own hands; you do not need to be a professional builder and have special skills for this.

Photos of ready-made teremki will inspire the owner of the dacha, it remains only to decide on the size and choose a place for such a vital beauty.

Dacha toilet Teremok do it yourself

The first step is to make the foundation for the toilet with your own hands. The dimensions of the foundation are 1.4 by 2 m. The depth and width are 0.25 by 0.25 m, and the basement is 0.2 m. The foundation for the country toilet is filled with bricks, rubble and other things that are at hand. After that, everything is poured with a solution. Inside the foundation, a pit 0.8 m deep is pulled out, after which the basement is laid out. The pit is lined with a quarter brick thickness, and the basement is one brick.

Note!

At the same time, the bottom remains sandy.

When a Teremok country toilet is being built with your own hands, then the wood must be harvested in advance so that it is the same in density, structure, quality, appearance and other parameters. Most often, spruce round timber is taken and polished to the desired state, since the cost of spruce is lower than wood of other species.

Next, you should deal with the frame. For this, two beams are taken with a length of 1.4 meters, and a section of 11 by 11 centimeters. The first is laid out on one edge of the foundation, and the second is placed in parallel at a distance of 1.12 meters. It is not worth fixing them yet.

Next, you should start preparing the floor. For this, beams of the same dimensions are taken and a floor with a width of 0.65 meters is knocked off from them. After knocking down, the surface must be sanded on one side and treated with an automotive finish on the other. The resulting structure should be laid out on the lower frame, but it is too early to fix it, since adjustment may be required if inconsistencies arise. If everything is fine, then you can fix it, and the floor is already ready.

The frame continues to be assembled from the beams of the same section. Here you need a length of 1.5 meters for four racks and 2 meters for four rafters. For a run, 1.3 meters are taken. All received parts are laid out according to the drawing. After checking, you can cut corners from them to secure them with nails. The bottom of the resulting frame is trimmed in one plane so that it is possible to stand on the floor.

Note!

All of these operations are done on the ground, so you need to have a level cleared area.

Then the front and rear parts of the frame are placed in the form of frames on the bars in the appropriate position. Fixation takes place with strong nails. All these fastenings are still temporary in nature, since then everything should be additionally strengthened with studs and brackets. The girder connects at the top. When all the dimensions are checked again, then you can proceed to fastening the frame to the floor and, if everything is successful, then fix it with staples, which are made of 6 mm wire. The front bar and floor are sewn together with 20 cm nails.

After that, the front part of the frame is placed, where the door will be located. This part is made of 5 x 10 cm timber. The size of the door can be taken as a standard 1.9 x 0.8 meters and adjusted to fit the door. After that, the joints of the structure are firmly fixed using threaded studs, nuts and washers. The holes are drilled obliquely through the rafters and upright.

It is worth paying attention!

Drill the holes shallowly with a larger drill to hide the nuts in the groove.

The door frame is fixed in the same way. After everything is fixed, you can start grinding, for which round timber is used. It needs to be cut in half with a saw. The resulting halves are sheathed on all sides of the frame. The surface should protrude about 12 cm.

The roof is created by nailing boards onto the rafters. First, the top board breaks through, then the bottom one, and then everything that should be between them. This is done on both sides. After the roof is covered with roofing materials, for example, ondulin. Then you need to cut the board on the crate along the edge and make a shroud.

Using self-tapping screws, guides are screwed to the walls. A shelf board for the seat is attached to them. A hole in the board is cut with a jigsaw. The window above the door, the types of hinges and door handles are at the discretion of the manufacturer. After all this, you can paint the toilet or open it with varnish.

How to build a toilet Teremok

At the summer cottage, you can build a toilet with your own hands, which is outward appearance resembles a Russian teremok folk tales... The roof of such a tower is very steep, which gives it unusual view... Visually, it seems that the main element of such a tower is the roof, since it occupies a significant place in the structure.

Making such a country toilet, its dimensions can be set to any size. Usually they make a toilet with cesspool or install a container with peat or chemical elements. Sometimes these chambers are insulated so that visiting them in winter period is in a more comfortable environment. Due to the steep slope of the roof of such a house, snow does not accumulate on it in winter. The construction of the toilet begins right on the cesspool or on a flat area from which it is then transferred and installed on the pit.

A cesspool in the country can be made from old car tires digging them into the ground. The side wall in the toilet is not made vertically, but with a slight slope in order to expand the space in the toilet. The roof is made strongly pointed and therefore half of the height of the tower is occupied by the roof. Inside, you can put a toilet in the toilet or make wide shop with a hole.

First of all, a cesspool is made or a container is buried in which the waste of your life will accumulate. Then they make a small foundation, tape 0.25 m wide or columnar at the corners 0.25 x 0.25 m.The foundation is buried not deeply about 30 cm deep. wooden structures. Metal pins should stick out of the foundation in several places with the help of which the teremok will be attached to the foundation. Lags are first attached to the columnar foundation on which the teremok will be built or attached to them.

Scheme for the construction of a country toilet teremok

The toilet is assembled according to the drawing of the teremok toilet. According to the toilet scheme, the teremok is first used to assemble the frame of the entire toilet from the beams. Then they make the floor from the boards and sheathe the side and back walls.

After that, they begin to make the toilet seat, and if a toilet bowl is installed, it will be necessary to install additional bars under the floor to which the toilet bowl will be attached. The front part of the building does not need to be closed all over, but you need to leave a hole in the upper part that will work as ventilation in an outdoor toilet, and in the daytime as a lighting for the toilet.

A profiled sheet is usually laid on the roof, but first it will be necessary to nail the crate to the rafters on which the profiled sheet will be attached. A ridge is installed on top of the profiled sheets so that water does not fall under the profiled sheets during rain. The protruding profiled sheets from the end are upholstered from below with platbands to close the gap between the profiled sheet and the rafters. Last of all, a door is installed on the toilet made of corrugated board by fixing it on hinges. Then, from the inside and outside, a latch and a handle are attached to the door.

Vacation home

Kind time of the day, dear readers. In this article I want to tell you in detail how to build a country toilet with your own hands, which can only be called "The envy of all neighbors"! I will tell you how we did it, and you can adjust the performance according to your wishes and possibilities. There is nothing particularly complicated about it.

So, first you need to make a foundation measuring 140 × 200cm, depth and width 25 × 25cm, basement - 20cm (photo 1, 2). As you can see, we covered the foundation with a fight of bricks and rubble (which was at hand), filled it with grade 200 mortar and left it to harden. Then a hole 80 cm deep was dug inside the foundation. Then they began to lay out a base one brick thick. The pit was also covered with a quarter of a brick from the inside, and the bottom was left sandy.

photo 1. Fill the foundation

Photo 2. Cesspool

We pass to the toilet itself.

First of all, we prepared the wood. In terms of structure, density, quality and evenness of the trunk, we liked the spruce most of all. We took a spruce round timber, barked and sanded it (photos 3 and 4).
photo 3. Correct

Photo 4. Grinding

You can proceed to the frame for our building. Cut out two beams 11 × 11cm 140cm long (photo 5). We spread one along the front edge of the foundation, the second on the foundation at a distance of 112 cm from the first. There is no need to fix it yet.

photo 5. Cut out the beams

We prepare the floor from beams 11 × 11cm, length 140cm. We knock down the floor with a width of 65 cm (photo 6). After that, we carefully grind the resulting surface (photo 7). Back side we have processed by automotive working off.

photo 6. We knock down the bars

Photo 7. Grinding the floor

We put it on the pit, but do not fasten it in order to fit it in case of inconsistencies. The floor is ready, then we assemble the frame. We did this on the ground, and then lifted and put them on the front and rear bars. We cut the bars to size. The dimensions are shown in the drawings (photos 8 and 9). 4 racks 150cm each, 4 rafters 200cm each and 130cm girder. On the ground, according to the drawing, we lay out the bars and only after checking and fitting, we cut the corners in them and fasten them together with nails. Cut the bottom of the resulting frame in one plane so that it can fit snugly on the toilet floor. It is better to imagine this will help the drawings of the country toilet, given below.

Photo 9. Drawing of the side of the country street toilet

We put two, front and rear, frames on the front and rear beams, which lie on the foundation, and fasten them with nails. All the fastenings described are temporary, later the whole structure will be reinforced with staples and pins. We connect them from above with a run.

After checking all dimensions, you can attach the frame to the floor. For this we used staples (photo 10). They were made from wire with a diameter of 6 mm. We sew the floor and the front timber with 200mm nails.

Photo 10. Fixing the floor with a bracket

We put the door frame in the front frame and fix it at the top and bottom. The box is made of 5 × 10cm timber. Insert the door standard size 190 × 80cm and fit the box under the door (photo 11).

Photo 11. Door

Next, we firmly secured the joints. Threaded studs, washers and nuts were used for all mountings. We drill holes obliquely through the rack and rafter and tighten them with a hairpin (photo 12). Important! Drill shallow holes with a larger drill diameter to hide the nuts. So we do all four joints.

photo 12. Fastening the seam with a hairpin

The door frame can be fixed with a self-tapping screw, but we also used studs (photo 13, 14). Hanging side door frame will be subject to more stress, so we fixed it more firmly.

Thinking over the arrangement of a suburban area, many try to make and arrange even unsightly functional and outbuildings so that they harmoniously fit into the surrounding landscape.

There is nothing difficult in building a presentable and functional toilet in the country with your own hands. It is enough just to have basic construction skills and have the necessary materials on hand.

Design options for country toilets

When planning to build a toilet on the site in the country with your own hands, first of all, you need to decide on the type of future design.

Conventionally, all street latrines can be divided into two types: with a cesspool and with a removable container. Structures of the first type assume the presence of a hole dug in the ground. Lavatories of the second type are equipped with special containers for waste collection, filled with peat with sawdust, or with a special aqueous solution.

Traditional toilet with a cesspool. This is the cheapest and affordable way for the implementation of an outdoor bathroom. The principle of its operation is quite simple: waste products fall into a cesspool, where the liquid part of which is partially absorbed into the soil and evaporates, and the dense component accumulates. To clean the cesspools, they resort to the services of sewer companies.

Backlash closet. It is also equipped with a cesspool, but the walls of which are completely sealed. The emptying of the cesspool in such a system is carried out only by pumping out, using the toilet itself as a receiving funnel.

Powder closet... It is a construction of a pedestal with a toilet seat. Storage capacity for collecting sewage, placed directly under the toilet seat, sprinkled with a layer of peat, which has moisture-absorbing properties. A scoop with a bucket filled with a sawdust-peat mixture is installed next to the toilet seat. At each visit to the toilet, a portion of fresh peat is poured into the waste tank. After filling the container, it is taken out into the compost heap. Due to its mobility and compact design, it can be installed both inside a residential building and in a separately located street booth.

Chemical toilet. It resembles a powder closet in type, unlike a bio toilet, the processing and splitting of sewage in it occurs under the influence of chemicals. By using liquids based on biobacteria, waste can be converted into useful organic fertilizer, using as a root fertilization of plants.

Choosing a place to build

Of fundamental importance in the construction of a toilet for a summer residence with your own hands is the choice of a place for its construction. It is strictly regulated by the provisions of the current normative documents, according to which:

  • The distance of the toilet to a water well, well or reservoir should be at least 25-30 meters.
  • The lavatory must be at least 12 meters away from the residential building.
  • Cesspools must be securely insulated.
  • When choosing a location, take into account the terrain and wind direction.
  • When lying on the site groundwater at a depth of up to 2 meters, only a dry closet, chemical or powder closet can be installed.
  • In the case of underground waters at a depth of 2.5 meters or more, a toilet with a cesspool or a backlash closet can be erected.

Observance of these precautions will help prevent ingress of Wastewater into drinking water.

Drawing up a diagram - drawing and sizing

Before starting the construction of a street lavatory, it is necessary to determine the size of the future structure. The first step is to draw up a diagram or drawing. The shape and design of the future house is limited only by the imagination and capabilities of the master. It can be an ordinary house, a pretty little house or an original hut. If desired, options for drawings of country toilets can be taken on the Internet at thematic forums.

The most in demand is a classic house with a cesspool. The most optimal sizes can be considered:

  • Height from 2 to 2.3 meters;
  • Length 1.5 -1.7 meters;
  • Width 1-1.2 meters.

Tip: A detailed schematic drawing with exact dimensions will allow you to correctly calculate the dimensions of the structure and volume necessary materials thereby warning possible mistakes and unnecessary expenses.

Arrangement of a cesspool

At the installation site of the outdoor toilet, a cesspool is dug, giving it a square or round shape. The depth of the septic tank should not exceed 1.5 meters, and its diameter should not exceed 2.5 meters. But as practice shows, cesspools with a round shape are more functional. They are characterized by increased strength and are able to withstand high loads and pressures.

Digging a hole the right size, seal its base. Instead of tamping, the bottom can be lined with a gravel cushion. To ensure the necessary sealing of the device, the walls of the pit are laid out with brickwork, or concrete rings are installed.

Brickwork is strengthened reinforced mesh or fittings. All joints are carefully sealed cement mortar followed by a waterproofing layer. This allows you to save crops from impurities and keep groundwater from pollution.

Toilet house construction

The easiest way to build a toilet house is made of wood. As a support for the future structure, it is better to use three-meter wooden beams, or metal or concrete pillars.

Materials and tools for building a toilet:

  • Wooden beams with a section of 100x100 mm and 50x50 mm;
  • Edged boards or fiberboard for cladding;
  • Floorboards for arranging the floor area;
  • A piece of roofing material in 1.5 meters;
  • Hacksaw and plane;
  • Garden drill;
  • Building level;
  • Self-tapping screws, nails, hammer.

Along the perimeter of the structure, using a garden drill, make four holes about one meter deep, the diameter of which is 2-3 cm larger than the size of the support pillars.
One of the ends of each pipe is processed bituminous mastic which prevents rotting and corrosion. The columns are in turn immersed in the holes, deepening by 90-100 cm and fixing them with cement mortar. When the solution acquires sufficient strength, you can proceed to the construction of walls.

Tip: Racks for the back of the house are made slightly lower to provide a slope for the roof. At all stages of installation, it is necessary to control the verticality of the installation of the racks using a building level.

In parallel with the support posts, beams for the door are installed. To impart strength to the structure along the perimeter of the vertical racks, the upper and lower strapping are made of beams of the same size.

Erection of walls and installation of a door

To ensure waterproofing, a roofing material is laid between the frame and the columnar foundation, on top of which a platform-floor is knocked together from the edged boards.

At a height of about half a meter, perpendicular bars are installed, which will serve as the basis for attaching the toilet seat. Having stepped back one meter from the rear wall, at the same level, a second jumper is made to equip the seat. The base of the seat is sheathed with a chipboard sheet or boards. A hole in the seat is cut with a jigsaw, and all corners are cleaned from burrs with a plane. You can use a thick plastic wrap to waterproof the front of the toilet seat along the inner wall.

The finished frame remains sheathed with fiberboard sheets or wooden edged boards 20 mm thick. Planks can be placed both horizontally and vertically, fixing them to the frame with screws or nails. If desired, the walls of the house can be insulated mineral wool or sheet polystyrene.

At this stage of the work, it is worth taking care of the arrangement of the ventilation window, which, in parallel, will act as natural lighting.
Door block you can buy it ready-made or build it yourself. It is installed so that it opens outward and is framed with a platband. The latches are installed both inside and outside the toilet.

Roof arrangement

The roof can be made of any kind of roofing material you like: galvanized iron, tiles, slate, polycarbonate or simple edged boards. The boards are laid with an overlap, fixing with roofing screws.

The light into the toilet can be carried out from the nearest building by throwing a two-core aluminum wire and installing a cartridge with a 40-60 W light bulb. An excellent alternative to stationary lighting can be an LED, which does not require a cable to be installed. LED on a small battery capable of illuminating small room, enough for the whole season.

It must be remembered that there are a sufficient number of different norms and rules that must be followed to place the closet on the street. The basic rule to be followed is the creation of conditions under which the minimum contact of waste with ground water will be carried out.

Rules for placing a toilet in a summer cottage

Before you make a toilet in the country yourself, it is important to study the main criteria that you should adhere to when choosing a place for its construction:

  • The required distance from the nearest water area must be at least 30 meters. If the geolocation of the reservoir is lower in level from the building, then the structure must be moved to another place or below the water source.
  • The distance from adjacent pits such as a basement, cellar and so on should be at least 15 meters.
  • The distance from residential buildings or other structures must be at least 8 meters.
  • Distance from places of settlement or habitat of animals - at least 5 meters;
  • Distance from plantings - at least 1 meter.
  • The distance from the fence of the nearby territory is at least 1 meter.
  • When building a country toilet, you must also take into account the direction of the winds so as not to disturb your neighbors with an unpleasant smell.

Be carefull. Before constructing a toilet, it is necessary to check the groundwater level. Construction is possible only if their level is more than 2.5 m underground.

If it is impossible to build a cesspool, due to the flow of groundwater, you can use an alternative option and build a country toilet like a backlash closet or powder closet with your own hands. Alternative option a dry closet can act. In such structures, human waste will not touch groundwater.

Requirements for the location of buildings on a summer cottage, including toilets

Attention should be paid to the construction of nearby wells or wells that are used by your neighbors.

Strict consideration of the rules in the ratio of buildings on your territory and the territory of your neighbors will allow you to correctly build a toilet in the country in compliance with environmental standards.

Options for the execution of toilets in the country

You can build a country toilet yourself. There are several construction methods that directly depend on the type of structure. The most popular versions of the country toilet:

  1. Toilet with a cesspool;
  2. Backlash closet;
  3. Powder closet;
  4. Dry closets and chemical toilets.

These are the most common types of country toilets. Further details about each version.

Regarding the first type, a country toilet with a cesspool is the most common version of a closet for temporary residences and is an elementary building above a cesspool.

Regarding the type of "Backlash closet", it has a sealed waste pit in its structure, which may differ in its characteristics and dimensions and have different variations. For disposal in a toilet of the "Backlash-closet" type, a special sewage machine is used, the hose of which is lowered into the cesspool through a special hatch, which is located at the back of the house.

The third type of "Powder closet" represents a certain container under the saddle itself, which must be cleaned at specified intervals. After each use of the toilet, it is necessary to use additional means of disposal, namely, dusting the sewage with peat. This is the cheapest option for a country toilet, but the cleaning process can cause some trouble.

The most the best view a toilet for a summer residence with sufficient economic support can be a dry closet or a chemical toilet. The peculiarity of using such a toilet is that there is no need for frequent cleaning due to the splitting of waste products by special bacteria.

How to build a country toilet with your own hands - you need to perform several operations in the sequence indicated below.

The most popular toilet is with a cesspool. This is due to the simplicity of its operation. The process of use is very simple and consists in the direct fall of waste into a deep pit. If the pit is more than 70% full, it requires proper cleaning.

The organization of the pit is not a very complicated process and, in principle, you can do it yourself. Digging a hole the right depth(its recommended parameters are 2 × 2 meters and a depth of 2 meters), you should proceed to strengthening the walls of the pit, which in the future will serve as the foundation for the aboveground construction. You can strengthen the pit with the help of boards, which must be treated with a special antiseptic before that. The pit can be strengthened concrete rings or using brickwork.

It is advisable to make the bottom of the cesspool with an inclination downward towards the back of the toilet house, so that the sewage sinks towards the hatch, with which the hole is cleaned.

At brickwork it is necessary to observe its staggered order in order to take care of the future cleaning of the cesspool. The last six rows of bricks are laid out without any gaps. If you are engaged in the construction of a backlash closet, then it requires certain efforts to organize a complete sealing of the pit. To achieve this goal, the bottom of the resulting pit is poured concrete screed... If you decide to make a brick base, then in the end it is still poured with concrete.

For pouring concrete, formwork is made, which can be performed using ordinary boards or bars. After the concrete has completely hardened, the formwork frame is completely dismantled.

Wooden formwork

It must be remembered about the need for a hole for the toilet itself and the implementation of holes for ventilation and waste pumping.

An alternative option for cleaning the cesspool can be filling it with special chemical means or completely filling it and transferring the toilet to another place. This option will be of interest to those who do not want to constantly deal with the cleaning of the cesspool.

Today, there are many variations of building or purchasing a ready-made toilet stall.

Types of cabins

When building a country toilet, there are several options for its execution, depending on the above-ground building - a cabin. The main types are:

  • Hut;
  • Birdhouse;
  • House;
  • Hut.

Let's take a closer look.

  1. Features of the "Shalash" structures are determined by their structural strength. The inconvenience can be attributed to the uncomfortable placement inside the building due to the lack of space of the selected form.
  2. Birdhouses, in terms of their installation properties, are not heavier than the previous type of cabin and also have lower costs in terms of the amount of material. The only difference is that mechanically this design is less stable and has excessive heat transfer. The pluses include a unique design and the ability to place a water tank on top of the roof.
  3. The "House" variant is much stronger and warmer than previous competitors. The use of the necessary materials for implementation does not differ much, but the decorative design and Finishing work have a wide range.
  4. The “Izbushka” type of cabins requires a higher consumption of materials, but it is very durable and resistant to almost any climatic conditions. In such a booth, it is possible to install a washstand, hanger, mirror and whatever you want. From point of view design solutions, can fit into almost any interior.

DIY wooden dressing house

Depending on the financial condition and the ability to work, you can build a booth yourself, which can be done different ways depending on the type of material used. Further, the process of erecting a house made of wood of the "Birdhouse" type with a cesspool reinforced with bricks is considered.

When bricking a house, it is necessary to make a foundation, which usually extends beyond the cesspool. The walls of the brick structure themselves must be 10-15 centimeters above the ground, in order to place the foundation around the walls in the next step.

The walls of a brick cesspool protrude 10-15 centimeters above the ground

Often on summer cottages wooden toilet cubicles are used. The rectangular shape of the house and its construction is organized by wooden blocks measuring 100x100 mm. The tree must first be treated with an antiseptic for many years of its service. In the absence of an antiseptic at hand, you can use diluted bitumen in a 1: 1 ratio with water.

To comply with the correct technological process for the construction of the booth, it is necessary to make waterproofing between the foundation and the frame wooden structure house. This can be achieved by laying a strip of roofing material.

The figure below shows step by step process collection booth, described below under the image itself.

The process of collecting a toilet stall made of wood
  1. Placing the foundation around brick walls... A layer of a strip of roofing material is laid on the foundation in order to isolate it from water (waterproofing).

    The foundation for a house with a superimposed layer of a strip of roofing material

  2. On top of the foundation, a pre-assembled wooden frame, by screwing.
  3. The next step is the floor of the booth, which must be strong enough to support the weight of the person. For this purpose, a board with a thickness of at least 30 mm is taken and screwed to the previously installed frame with self-tapping screws.
  4. Frames for the front and back sides of the booth are being constructed from wooden blocks. The slope of the roof of the country toilet is solved by installing frames of different lengths. The back, as a rule, is made lower in height than the front.
  5. Further, the installed frames of the rear and front sides are strengthened by connecting the transverse bars to each other. In this case, the bars are attached in 2 places: between the frames approximately in the middle of the height and at the very top. The latter will be used to attach boards to them in order to obtain a roof. For design reasons, the upper bars should protrude beyond the base: at the front by 30 millimeters, and at the back by 16 millimeters. You should not get hung up on such strict dimensions, a small error is permissible.
  6. A pre-prepared pedestal frame with a height of 450 mm is installed inside the booth. This is the most common height, but you can make it different to suit you.
  7. Sheathing of the frame of the house. A false beam is perfect for this role, performing the function of imitating a solid wall from a bar. It is such an imitation of the connection between the bars with the help of thorn-grooves.
    False beam - imitation of a bar

    On one side of the bar there is a spike, which is inserted into a groove on the opposite side of the second bar. It is very convenient. The imitation of the timber is attached to the frame itself with nails or by twisting screws. To avoid moisture getting into the groove, make sure that it looks down the entire structure, and the spike up. Good options sheathing are also clapboard or OSB. At the same stage, the plinth is trimmed. A hole of the required size is cut out on the top board to accommodate the container in it.

  8. The beginning of the roof covering. At this stage, small boards with some distance between themselves are attached to the upper transverse bars (perpendicular to them and parallel to the front side of the cabin).

    The visor is also sewn up from the side of the doors and the boards are attached to each other along the perimeter. Ultimately, an upper roof structure with right angles must be formed.

  9. The question of the final readiness of the roof is decided by the imposition of slate or tiles on it.

When building a country toilet with your own hands, do not forget about its insulation. Of course, you can do without insulation, but in winter it will be very cold there, which will give you terrible discomfort when you are inside the closet. Foam sheathing can be used to insulate the country toilet house. Inside the toilet itself, it is necessary to install transverse wood strips to organize the toilet seat itself.

With the correct calculation of the project and compliance with standardization standards, the recommended cab dimensions are as follows:

  • Length - 1-1.5 meters;
  • Width - meter;
  • Height - 2.10 meters.

Cab Doors

Usually, wooden doors are installed in the toilet, bought in advance or made by ourselves. Sheathing is possible with the same materials as the frame was sheathed. After that, the doors are hung on 2 hinges in the recesses, cut in advance.

A latch or hook can be used to close doors from the outside or from the inside. So that the door does not open inward and in order to close the cracks, platbands are installed.

After receiving the finished dressing house, it is completely impregnated with special materials in order to protect the tree from moisture and pests. Then everything is covered with varnish or paint.

Quite naturally - for such a building ventilation is necessary in order to remove odors arising during operation. That is why a country toilet, or rather its body, is initially equipped with a hole, into which a plastic pipe with a diameter of 100 mm or more is then inserted.

Ventilation scheme in the country closet

Having passed the pipe into the cesspool to a depth of more than 20 cm, its opposite end is brought out along the rear wall to a height of more than 20 centimeters above the roof level. To improve the hood, a special device is used - a deflector.

Organization of lighting

Whether or not to light the toilet depends on the time of your stay in the country. To save light, the toilet can be designed with a small window, or alternatively, LED or battery-powered lights can be used.

Organization of the utility block

For ease of use, sometimes a combination of a toilet, a shower and a barn is used at the dachas at the same time. Receiving the design in one block takes up less space and is economically profitable from the point of view of waste disposal. If you live in the country house during the summer period, this is an ideal option.

The association in the order of a warehouse-shower-changing room-toilet is called in the common people "Cheburashka". The implementation is similar to the construction of a cabin with support posts and wooden blocks, but differs in size. At correct installation and the location ensures the compactness and feasibility of construction in the future process of its operation.

As you already understood, it is not so difficult to build a country toilet with your own hands, since this process does not involve any heavy technical operations. The cabin design depends only on your capabilities and imagination. The main thing to remember is that the decisive factor in the successful construction of a country toilet is its ease of use and correct location.

Blueprints

If you decide to create your own unique structure for a summer cottage closet, then you will certainly need an independent development of a project and a drawing of your particular design in order to clearly know in what sequence to perform all the work, the amount of required materials and their dimensions.

But, if you do not need this, or you want to take some kind of ready-made solution, then typical drawings with applied exact dimensions for the construction of country toilets, which we provide you below, may well suit you. All images have a click-to-enlarge function, so you can view them in full size, as well as download them to your computer to make viewing more convenient.

For some, the dacha is just their own land plot outside the city. Of course, over time, a house will appear on it, the territory will be fenced off, but for now this is land, and that's all. What should be built here first of all? A garden shed? It is also necessary, but not paramount.

Country toilet do it yourself

The first step is to build such a responsible and required construction like a toilet. Do not ask constantly to neighbors in need. It is not difficult to build a toilet in the country with your own hands, step-by-step instructions for this are not difficult, so you will be able to cope with the work without experience.

Seat selection

The toilet cannot be located anywhere, there are some requirements that must be observed when erecting such a building.

The toilet must:

  • Stand at least 30 m from the water source.
  • Should not be on the border of a neighboring site (at least 1 m from the border).
  • Be at least 5 m from a residential building, tent, etc.

If the dacha is located on an area with uneven terrain, the well should be located above the toilet. Thus, before you build a toilet in the country with your own hands, you need to draw up a drawing correctly.

It is necessary to decide not only on the place, size and material of manufacture, it is also necessary to take into account the wind rose in order to avoid the penetration of a specific aroma from the toilet, say, on the terrace, where it is so pleasant to drink seagulls in the evening.

If the project involves the presence of a cesspool, you immediately need to think about the possibility of a sewer truck approaching the toilet. Immediately, we note that it is not recommended to make a cesspool in an area with a high groundwater level.

Construction type

There are several basic types of toilets:

  • backlash closet;
  • bio toilet.

Each has its own characteristics, which you need to familiarize yourself with before making a toilet in the country. And you can rely on personal preferences here, before choosing the right type of construction that is most suitable for existing conditions.

Sump structure

The simplest toilet used since time immemorial. No containers are needed, and a clear drawing is hardly needed, if such a toilet is to be built, a sketch will be enough. It is not very difficult to build a summer wooden toilet, you should start by actually digging a pit for waste, while remembering that they will have to somehow get it.

Then comes the device of the toilet booth. Yes, we add that after filling the pit, it can fill up, and, so to speak, the above-ground part of the building (booth) is transferred to a new place - a new pit. It is good here when the outdoor toilet is wooden, it will be easier to drag it from place to place.

By the way, it is recommended to make a drawing in advance, which will indicate the subsequent locations of the toilet, if it is planned to move. So, after a while there will be no troubles associated with the fact that the place where the new wooden tower should be located is occupied. And they move the outdoor summer toilet every 2-3 years.

So building a pit toilet is easy, which is a plus. But here bad smell that comes from it is, of course, a big drawback, and one should not forget about it.

As for the construction of the toilet itself, the instructions will be as follows:

  • digging a hole 1.5-2 m deep;
  • its walls are strengthened with boards, bricks or concrete rings;
  • inside you can put old barrel or lay out a hole with car tires;
  • the bottom is concreted or covered with gravel;
  • the cracks are caulked to tightness.

Then comes the installation of the house. It is placed on four brick posts - the foundation that protects the wooden case from moisture. In appearance, it can be a teremok, a birdhouse, or another form. Brick posts are insulated from above with roofing material. In order to correctly determine the size and not be mistaken with the amount of building materials, it is still recommended to draw up a project beforehand.

A frame made of 100x100 timber, primed and painted, is placed on the pillars.

In the corners, four racks are installed, which are attached with metal plates. Since the slope of the roof is required, the C-pillars are made shorter than the front ones. Above the most cesspool for the toilet, a frame for the seat is made.

At the top, beams for the roof are mounted, on which roofing material and slate are spread. Bars are nailed onto the booth with a pitch of 15 cm, onto which the final sheathing is attached. To sheathe the structure inside, plastic is used or wooden lining... The work is crowned with a lighting device.

Ventilation

The cesspool is the source bad smell... You can use an air freshener to somehow neutralize it, but more correctly to make ventilation. The project for the construction of the entire toilet must certainly include its scheme.

The ventilation pipe will be a standard 100 mm plastic sewer pipe. It is attached with clamps to the back wall of the toilet booth. A well-designed drawing will help. One end of the pipe is passed through a hole in the podium leading to the pit, leaving a segment of 100 mm. The tube should protrude 200 mm above the roof of the booth. The place where the pipe meets the cesspool is insulated with tow with bitumen mastic. At the top, the tube opening is closed by a deflector.

It is believed that it is possible to erect a toilet on the ground without any additional strengthening measures if its bearing capacity is not less than 1.7 kg / cm². As a rule, the dimensions of the toilet cubicle in the plan are rarely more than 2.5-3 m2, and economic block 15-20 m². The soil is considered too heaving, which heaves already when freezing by 12%.

Most of all, humus swells. If we take its layer at 50 cm and multiply by 0.12 - we get 6 cm. It is recommended that the drawing takes into account this value.

On a homogeneous loose soil, a uniformly swelling surface - the horizontal dimensions are equal to 100 absolute values of heaving; here 6 m.

A toilet with dimensions of 6x6 m is unlikely to be found in terms of plan, which means that a toilet can be erected without a foundation.

Construction

As mentioned, the project will help build a wooden toilet or whatever. Step-by-step instruction, which the drawing should have, is as follows:

  • The dimensions are determined: depth - 1 m, width - 1.5 m, height - not less than 2.2 m. Further, based on the project, we mark the site.

  • What does the project tell us to do next? Of course, make a frame. This design can be a box welded from metal corners. There should be four supporting corners. A wooden toilet seat is attached to these corners. A similar frame can be made of 50x60 mm timber.

  • You can sheathe the booth: slate, lumber, metal sheets, corrugated board. It is also possible in a nautical way - with a boat board. This board performs better in areas with heavy rainfall, but it holds gusts of strong wind somewhat worse than sheet pile.
  • Toilet roof. The project can provide for several options for the roof device at once. Roofing material can be: slate, roofing iron, wood. Wooden roof the toilet is covered with roofing material to protect it from moisture. The slope is towards the back wall.

  • It doesn't matter what your project implies - wooden door or a plastic purchased one, above it, in the area to the roof of the toilet, a hole should be made for natural lighting of the booth in the daytime. The door closing mechanism can be: latch, latch, hook, simple lock. The latches, by the way, should be inside too.
  • Interior. In the toilet cubicle, a wooden box is hung on the wall for filling. A bucket or box for used toilet paper is placed in the corner. Under the toilet seat, there should be a 20-30 liter capacity for sewage, if there is no cesspool. In principle, there may even be a washbasin inside the toilet, under which a bucket for dirty water is installed.

Teremok

Often, summer residents are interested in the project of a toilet-teremka. They want to find a drawing for the manufacture of this structure, since the teremok looks very original. Particularly distinguished by the construction is the arrow-shaped roof, which adds a somewhat magical look to the structure. However, this design does not interfere with using the toilet properly.

  • Teremok is good not only because it looks great. The arrow-shaped cover, which the project provides when choosing this type of toilet, avoids the hassle of accumulating snow on the roof, which means that the roof will leak in the future. This is especially important in regions where heavy snowfalls are not uncommon.
  • It is better protected from the wind than other structures.
  • This shape can even make the toilet a decoration of the summer cottage.
  • It is not difficult to make a teremok from different materials.
  • Relatively low cost.
  • The elongated shape of the toilet roof is not very practical, sometimes it is inconvenient.
  • Construction is more difficult than other types of enclosures, since it is very important to observe the geometry of the corners precisely in order to obtain symmetry. The door, as a rule, needs to be done with a curvature at the top. Because of this, construction also becomes more difficult.

Scheme

It seems that the most important element of this structure is the roof, and not at all the frame and walls. After all, the roof is the largest of the elements. Looking at the project, you can see that the size of the roof is really larger than the height of the structure, and therefore the impression of its massiveness is created.

The side plan shows that the roof is longer than the entire structure.

In a relationship internal dimensions we can say that the scheme resembles a bench that completely covers the free surface. All this is easy to replace and install the toilet.

For the manufacture of this structure you will need:

  • electric jigsaw;
  • saw;
  • hammer;
  • nails;
  • bricks;
  • bars;
  • cement mortar;
  • ondulin;
  • roulette.

The toilet "teremok" differs from other models also in that its frame seems to be truncated. From the base, it expands until it rests on the roof.

During the construction of "teremok" wood is harvested in advance: it must have the same density, structure, and other parameters. Spruce round timber is more often used and polished to the required state. The fact is that spruce is cheaper than other types of wood.

Video: Country wooden toilet with your own hands

A toilet in the country is an irreplaceable thing, every owner of a suburban area has to deal with the construction of this important object. Usually, these buildings are inconspicuous, so they try to hide them in the depths of the garden or in the backyard of the site. But you can make a decoration of the yard - choose an unusual design of the tapa teremka.

This is due to the inclined side walls and roof slopes, which significantly increase the internal space of the tower at the level of the middle of the walls, while the floor is the same size as in the standard construction.

  2. The toilet is spacious, so it can be easily insulated with any insulating material and used in the winter season - there is enough space in the toilet.

The first step of a home wizard should be the choice of a building scheme and a sketch of its drawing. A drawing of a country toilet of the teremok type proves that the roof occupies most of the entire structure.

The ventilation hole should be as high as possible for the draft to be stronger and the atmosphere inside the building is comfortable.

To create a strip foundation for the toilet, a trench is dug about 25-30 cm deep, its width is about 20 cm. Broken brick, cobblestones, crushed stone, construction waste are poured inside the pit, reinforcement is laid out, then all this is poured with concrete based on cement.

The toilet frame is assembled on a flat surface, not far from the finished foundation. A wooden beam is used as a material, it is better to take coniferous wood, it better tolerates atmospheric influences and temperature differences.

On the front side, the floorboard of the teremka is polished, and on the wrong side, it is covered with the development of automotive oil so that the wood does not rot.

The roof of the toilet can be covered with ondulin, flexible tiles or metal profiles.

Important! If you decide to put a toilet bowl in the tower, you must first nail wooden blocks to the seamy side of the floor - heavy plumbing will be attached to them.
