Some malfunctions in the operation of the boiler may be caused by incorrect parameters in the settings of the service menu. This can happen, for example, after unskilled intervention or ... as it once happened in my practice, after pouring water on the boiler board.

Of course, first of all, the service menu is used for setting, adjusting and diagnosing the operation of the boiler. In this article I will share how to enter the service menu of the Ariston Class 24 FF boiler and how to change the parameters, as well as give the values ​​that were set in my boiler from the factory.

Before proceeding with any settings, it is important to carefully consider the structure of the menu, as well as understand whether you need to intervene and change any parameters. Incorrect intervention can lead to serious malfunctions. For example, there is a parameter that is set depending on the version of the boiler and is used by specialists when replacing the board.

Considering all of the above, you should understand that some of the parameters given by me as "Factory settings" may differ from the ones you specifically need, and therefore you carry out all these movements and settings at your own peril and risk.

Ariston boiler menu structure

At first it may seem complicated, but as you figure it out, everything will be simple and clear, so:

Each parameter is identified by a three-digit numeric code. For example 228 (this is just the parameter code that depends on the version of the boiler)

The first digit of the three-digit code means a separate menu group, the boiler has six separate menu groups, each responsible for its own section of settings. Here they are.

2 - Boiler settings

3 - Solar collector and storage boiler

4 - Zone 1 parameters

5 - Zone 2 parameters

7 - Testing and maintenance

8 - Technical parameters.

The second digit of the three-digit code denotes the submenu, and the third is the parameter itself to which access is opened.

For example, the code 228 already known to us is deciphered as follows: 2 - Boiler settings (this is Menu), 2 - Basic boiler settings (Submenu), 8 - Boiler version (Parameter).

So by typing the three-digit code 228, we get access to the set value of this parameter, which, according to the table, can vary from 0 to 5 and depends on the version of the boiler.

I will provide tables with menu codes and a description of what is regulated by a specific code below, but for now, let's figure out how to enter the boiler service menu.

Boiler service menu

For all manipulations with switching modes, only 4 buttons are involved - Plus, Minus, Ok / Menu, ESC.

It is important to understand that not all boiler menu items will be available to you, some of them will only become available when connected to the boiler. additional devices, for example external sensors or solar collector.

And most of the menu items are available only by the service code, I'll talk about this below, but for now let's "practice on cats"

How to work with the menu

Having pressed the "Ok" button once, the number 2 will flash on the digital display - this will be the first digit of the future three-digit code (Menu group number)

Using the plus and minus buttons, you can change this value from group number 2 to any other group. To fix the selected group for further entering the code number, you need to press "OK" again - after that the second digit of the future three-digit code starts blinking (Submenu)

Having selected the submenu, we fix it by pressing the "OK" button again and in a similar way select and fix the third digit (Parameter)

Everything! Now the screen will no longer display the three-digit code itself, but the set value of this parameter, which can be changed by pressing the "plus" "minus". Having made the necessary changes, do not forget to fix them by clicking "OK".

Please note that after selecting the desired menu, after a few seconds of inactivity, an alternate display of the three-digit code (to remind where you are) and the parameter corresponding to this menu will begin.

The ESC button is used to exit and the settings menu and return to the previous step. Exit is carried out step by step, one press is equal to one step back.

Practice

Now, if you want to practice, to better understand the switching order. For example, enter the menu code 701, this will turn on the forced air removal mode, in fact, you activate the pump in the boiler for 6 minutes.

When this mode is turned on, the symbol "Р I -" will light up on the display. You can exit the "Anti-air" mode without waiting 6 minutes if you press ESC.

Then, using ESC, try to go back and go to mode 300, which means (Set water temperature in the boiler) in the values, you can see the temperature that is currently set by the DHW regulator.

How to enter closed sections of the menu by access code

So, if you understand how to work in the menu, then it's time to move on to more serious things. The vast majority of all settings are protected from accidental interference with an access code. Therefore, in order to proceed with the boiler settings, we perform the following actions.

Press "OK" several times until the indicator shows the value 222 - Then hold the "Plus" until the value becomes 234 - then again "OK" - Everything is ready!

Now we have one number 2 constantly lit and another 2 blinking - What do you understand means the following - Menu 2 is on and you can select a submenu, and then a parameter. Having set the desired three-digit code and clicking "OK", we will see the parameter value that can be changed.

Use the ESC button to go back and go to the selection of other categories of menus and submenus.

There is a problem, advice is needed:
1. The temperature in the DHW circuit does not depend on the set parameters and is always maximum. Regulated in the heating circuit.
2. Feeling that the boiler does not change the intensity of the flame (in both modes). It lights up at maximum and works like this until it turns off when the maximum temperature is reached. Is it customizable in some way or something more serious?
First you need to look at the gas valve settings.
The boiler generates error 104 during heating operation. The pressure in the expansion vessel is 1 bar. the pressure in the 1.4 bar apparatus does not drop, the bypass is normal, the turbine and everything else is also normal. Everything is clean along the contour. What can the third digit mean in the error? Boiler Ariston Chimney class. And if we have a pressure sensor? I didn't find it.
If the error is only when working for heating, most likely, the malfunction needs to be looked for in the heating system, I would start by checking the CO filters. Most often not, but there were instances with a pressure sensor. Check menu 247 to be correct and set 0 if necessary.

pump at the CO filling point. We pump up to 1.3 -1.5 bar. We check if the air vent is open. We turn on the boiler, and if there is a mode for removing air from CO, then we drive the device in this mode. We also warm up the CO to the maximum. Air is removed from CO. We pass by heating devices and through the tap of Mayevsky we bleed the air out of them. The pressure will drop slightly. We feed up to the values ​​indicated above. Everything. If everything is correct, then at
heating to the maximum temperature, the pressure in closed system will not rise more than 0.3 bar.

The problem in the operation of the double-circuit boiler Ariston BS II 24 CF. Aegis plus 24 FF boiler is in operation. When I turn on the hot water supply, the device turns off after 30 seconds and displays error 303. Tell me, what could be the damage?
Most likely, you will need to change the board.
The boiler Ariston BS 24 FF was installed, it worked for 4 years without breakdowns. Now there is a problem: You set the temperature, for example, 70, the boiler does not heat up the entire system, although everything was normal before.
