Ballou is packed with dignity, the manufacturer carefully protected the case of the dehumidifier from falls from all sides with foam. By the way, remembering that my air dryer is equipped with a compressor, I brought it upright, like a refrigerator. In its original package, he easily fit in the back seat of the Priora. So I didn't have to hire a cargo taxi. We look further. The packing foam is removed, it remains to remove the plastic film.
To make it easy to pull out this rather weighty device - 14.5 kg, caring Chinese comrades provided it with a rather comfortable and strong handle on top.
The control panel is at the top, next to the carry handle. The device turns on simply - with one green button on the left. I like it, always and everywhere green color means - enable, red - trouble, shutdown. There is an LCD display, though some kind of half-blind and, unfortunately, no backlight. At the top left, it shows the relative humidity in% in the room and the temperature is slightly lower. During the dehumidification process, the% RH numbers are reduced to user-specified values. When turned on for the first time, the default is 60%, it is considered that sixty percent is the optimal humidity for a person in the room.
The intake of ambient air is carried out by the device with the rear side of the case, through this louver.

Its principle of operation is simple. We can say that this is an air conditioner, just the opposite. Instead of cold air, it drives air at room temperature or slightly warm, if the relative humidity is set to at least 30%. At the same time, water from the ambient air passing through the device is collected in this green container with a volume of 6.5 liters. When the tank is completely filled, a signal sounds, the red indicator light comes on and the smart Ballu turns off by itself, so that water does not spill onto the floor. All that remains is to pull out the container with water from the device and pour it into the sink or sell it to someone, I think that this water is distilled, although of course it needs to be checked. I do not know yet. The container with water is very easy to pull out, you can use one hand, and just as easily fits into its place. The filling water level is controlled by a float at the top. The only drawback of the container, I think, is that you can't see how much water collects when the device is running, but maybe I'm picking on the manufacturer.
Ballu on wheels, there are four of them and they are not at all superfluous here, the device is weighty and it will be easier for women to roll it by the handle than to lift it and drag it from one room to another. The wheels are good, paired, work flawlessly.

What I would like to say specifically about the operation of this Ballou air dryer. Indeed, the area of the room to be drained corresponds to the declared one. We have a living area at home, just thirty squares and he copes. The very first time I turned on and set 30% humidity on the display, after 2.5 hours of operation, I drained about two liters from the container of the device pure water, then after another 3 hours - another one and a half liters of water. And this is at a low fan speed. Hooray! The device really works and dries the room. The Chinese are great.
After reaching the relative humidity in the room that I asked for the dehumidifier, the compressor on the product turned off and only the fan remained on, blowing the air passed through itself vertically upward, next to the portable handle. The compressor itself hums very quietly, like a small refrigerator. This discharged air is already dry, so you can easily dry washed laundry, for example, in the off-season, when the heating is already off, and it is still cold outside. Familiar situation?
In the summer, on a hot sunny day, we always took out pillows outside to dry. Now you don't have to do this, they are dry with our dehumidifier. I am very pleased with this.
By the noise. Of course, 45 dB is a relatively small noise, but you still won't be able to sleep comfortably with Ballu, you need to either close it for the night in another room outside the door or turn it off altogether. By the way, one more drawback was found out. When you pull the Ballu Euro plug out of the socket, say, to move to another room, all the settings get lost and you have to re-enter your values. The manufacturer could have sewn in a battery for that kind of money, although maybe Ballu in China itself is inexpensive, and our networkers double the price. But on Ali, I have not seen such serious dehumidifiers. There are some toys out there - pitiful simulations for a couple of thousand, but I didn't like them at all. I prefer factory China.
Important, I almost forgot! Just as with a split system or air conditioner at home, it is necessary to close the doors and windows in the room where the dehumidifier is operating. Otherwise, when the street is drained, you can be left without a livelihood. Electricity is expensive today, so if you are a law-abiding citizen, it is better to have a two-tariff electric meter at home, because summer is ahead.
In a couple of weeks of operation of the Ballou dehumidifier, some conclusions can be drawn. The thing is absolutely necessary, especially when it rains like we have now. Airing the house is not an option now, it rains almost every day. Believe me, it helps a lot, the house has become much more comfortable, the pillows and linen have dried.
