The fluid falling in the standing column creates a vacuum and carries new portions of water from the roof. At the same time, a significant vacuum is created at the receiving funnel, followed by a sharp increase in the performance of the entire system.

Due to the siphon action, Geberit Pluvia allows you to quickly and effectively remove rainwater from large roofs with smaller diameters of pipes, compared with the traditional system. It does not require a bias in horizontal pipelines and temperature compensation. The system is mounted on the principle of rigid sealing on anchor supports. Reducing diameters and the number of pipes and risers leads to a reduction in the volume and cost of construction and installation work. Geberit Pluvia has absolute tightness due to butt welding pipes, occupies a smaller building volume and has the effect of self-cleaning due to high flow rates. According to the current construction standards, when the roof bonding is less than 1.5%, the estimated rainwater consumption for Moscow is 80 liters of C / ha (Q20). However, taking into account the changing climate and increasing the intensity of rainfalls, Geberit recommends navigate the value of 196 hp / ha (Q5), when the roof is biased to and over 1.5%. On the basis of this magnitude, the installation of the Geberit Pluvia system in large Auchan, Metro, MEGA-1 and other objects was calculated on the major hypermarkets. This system is confirmed by TU 4923-001-00284581-2004, approved by Plumbing Research Institute 25.11.2004.

The Geberit Pluvia system is based on a vacuum-siphon principle. It consists of roofing funnels, pipes and fittings from low pressure polyethylene (PND) Geberit, worked out by fastening systems and professional package of technical support services from the manufacturer. Due to the siphon principle of operation, Geberit Pluvia provides a quick water removal, without requiring a liner. High system performance allows you to maximize the number of risers and issues compared to the traditional system.

Thanks to the reliability and flexibility in the application of the Geberit Pluvia system, many years are used by leading architects and engineers when designing the most significant objects.

The pluvia drain system (translated from the lat. "Rain") is based on a gravitational and vacuum principle. When the fluid column moves under the action of gravity, there is a vacuum, the maximum value of which is achieved at the top point of the riser. The vacuum is transmitted along the horizontal collector to the point of the water entry - the receiving funnel. The syphony effect occurs due to the special design of the funnels and the exact calculation of pipe diameters, contributes to the maximum filling with water. The principle of operation of the PLUVIA system determines its advantages compared to the traditional system: a decrease in the diameter of the pipes and the number of funnels, the absence of a slope of horizontal areas of drain and pipes at the base of the building.

The pipes are connected by the hot welding method (in hard-to-reach places - electric-wave couplings) and mounted using a large number of anchor supports without installing temperature compensators. Thus, the drainage system becomes completely hermetic.

3. Organization and technology for performing work

The Geberit Pluvia system is attached as follows:

- horizontal mount - using the Pluvia attachment system;

- vertical mount - using compensatory couplings;

- Horizontal and vertical mounting - by hard mounting.

For mounting horizontal sections of the pipeline pipeline system, Geberit Pluvia was specially designed by the Fasteners of the Geberit Pluviafix pipelines. The effort caused by temperature changes is transmitted to anchor supports and further on a steel square profile (tire), which compensates for the emerging mechanical loads. The Geberit PluviaFix installation system guarantees quick installation, fewer mounting points to the roof, the ability to pre-assemble individual nodes.

The support profile has a length of 5 meters, mounted over the entire length of the pipelines, is connected by special elements.

Anchor supports are installed in the following order (Fig. 10):

1. At the beginning and at the end of the pipeline.

2. On each tee or the tap of the piping collector.

3. Every 5 meters along the length of the pipeline.

Two anchor supports are installed on each tee - one on each of the directions of the unifying flow. Below are the options for the arrangement of anchor supports (Fig. 10).

1. With the help of electric welded tapes.

2. With the help of electric welded couplings.

3. With double flange bushings (for 125 and 200 mm).
