How to glue silkscreen wallpaper: wall preparation and gluing process. How to glue wallpaper silk-screen printing - detailed instructions for the process Wallpaper for walls silk-screen printing how to do

Vinylized paper is used for the production of silk-screen wallpaper. It is painted with a special method and then heated to a certain temperature, after which a strong embossing is performed. By and large, such wallpapers can be pasted in the usual way. However, there are still some subtleties. How to glue silk-screen wallpaper can be found in our article.

Preparatory work

By choosing given view wallpaper, be sure to check the article, which is printed on the package. Make sure that it is the same on all the rolls of wallpaper you buy. The batch number must also match. If it is different, then you run the risk of buying multi-shaded wallpaper, which is unlikely to have a positive effect on the appearance of your room. Experts advise not to throw away wallpaper labels until finishing work is completed.

Before cutting the rolls, spread them on the floor and check if there are any defects on them in the form of a beveled pattern or a sharp change in its brightness. This inspection is best done for all rolls at once. If you have already glued on the roll, you will not be able to make a claim to the store. An important point is the choice of wallpaper glue. Silkscreen printing requires a special glue, so if you buy an ordinary one, just ruin the wallpaper.

Preparing the walls

Before wallpapering the walls, you must carefully prepare them. Silk-screen printing is glued to perfectly smooth and clean walls. To do this, you need to delete all old Decoration Materials, be it wallpaper, paint or other material. Oil stains are also unacceptable. If the walls are properly prepared, bubbles will not appear on the wallpaper.

If the walls need to be covered with plaster, then after this is done, you need to leave them alone until they dry completely. Then the surface of the walls is putty and primed. Do not under any circumstances use water-based paint for a primer.

Cutting rolls

Before cutting the rolls into pieces, you need to measure the height of the room where you are gluing them. If the wallpaper has a quite clear pattern that needs to be combined, then when cutting, leave a 10 cm allowance on each roll. On back side mark the stripes with a pencil so as not to confuse them when gluing.

How to glue wallpaper

To begin with, you need to draw a vertical line on the wall. This can be done with building level... The strip will serve as a guide for the first wallpaper strip when glued. The rest of the stripes will be equal to the first. As a rule, the wallpaper has a label with instructions on how to apply the glue. After you have applied generously to the wallpaper strip with glue, leave it on for about 10 minutes so that the glue is slightly absorbed into the texture of the wallpaper. At this time, you can apply a layer of glue to the wall in the closest corner of the window.

Now you can glue the wallpaper. First of all, the upper part of the strip is applied to the wall. Then the canvas is gradually pressed to the surface with the help of a roller, moving from the top to the middle. Further, the strip is smoothed out with smooth movements from the center to the edges. In this case, air bubbles are squeezed out from under the wallpaper. Remember that silk-screen wallpapers are always glued back to back.

The wallpaper must be trimmed from above and below with a sharp knife. If glue accidentally gets on the joints of the sheets, it should be removed immediately with a soft, damp cloth. The same goes for platbands and skirting boards.

How to glue wallpaper in hard-to-reach places

As you know, the most difficult to glue wallpaper on the corners. In this case, the wallpaper canvas close to the corner should be started up with a slight approach to the next wall, perpendicular to the previous one. Then, when gluing the next strip, you must very carefully align it with the first strip. In order for the wallpaper to be glued strictly vertically, use a plumb line. To remove unnecessary parts, a ruler is applied to the double layer of pasted wallpaper in the corner and a thin incision is made with a knife. If glue comes out at the same time, then it must be removed immediately. The unnecessary edges of the wallpaper are cut off.

To paste the wallpaper behind the radiator, cut it at the point where it is attached to the wall. Next, the cloth is wound behind the radiator and smoothed with a flat brush wrapped in a clean thin cloth. However, the entire wall behind the radiator is most often not pasted over. They just run the canvas about 20 cm per section.

Before sticking wallpaper on places near switches and outlets, you must first turn off the power supply. Then the sockets and switches themselves are removed, and the wallpaper is glued over the holes. In the places where the sockets are located, the wallpaper must be cut with a cross and the free edges must be bent into the inside of the box. Then the sockets and switches are installed in their original place.

Of all the vinyl wallpaper fraternity, I want to offer you silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven basis for review, which can rightfully be called the most elegant and beautiful.
They are able to create indoors exquisite interior as their external appearance give the room a spectacular, original and festive look.

General Provisions

Silk-screen vinyl wallpaper consists of a base, which can be presented in paper or non-woven.
Silk-screen printing did not choose the non-woven wallpaper by chance, since the non-woven layer is preferable to the paper backing.

I will explain it literally in a couple of lines:

  • A non-woven base does not require such a thorough preparation of the base of the walls as a paper base, since, due to its characteristics, it is able to hide small surface flaws.
  • The non-woven base keeps the geometric shape well after pasting, it will not "lead" from getting wet, which can happen with the paper backing.
  • Ease of pasting - the adhesive is applied only to the canvases, which is a cleaner and less time-consuming process.
  • Silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven basis has a slightly longer service life. But they are more expensive, nevertheless, compare all the above factors and decide finally.

Manufacturing process

Let's take a closer look, in a few words, to get acquainted with the process of how silk-screen wallpaper is made on a non-woven basis. A top layer of polyvinyl chloride is applied to the non-woven base.

sample

This is, in essence, a technology for the production of tapestries of the vinyl community. But the manufacturers went further in their developments, since they included micro-thin silk or artificial fibers in this mass. This determines their shiny and iridescent appearance of the surface layer.

The process is mechanized, and a large number of threads, falling and intertwining in a natural way, fall into the impregnating composition. The thickness of the top layer forms the thickness of the canvases.

After impregnation, there is a heating process to a temperature determined by the technology, and under high pressure they are embossed.

The application of patterns, drawings is carried out by screen printing, which makes it possible to achieve any desired drawings, patterns, flower paintings and more. In addition, you can choose smooth or grooved copies, pick up samples according to the thickness of the canvas.

As a result, samples are obtained with a silky - iridescent sheen of the canvas, they seem to play in the light, creating a marvelous interior.

Tapestries are somewhat reminiscent of their textile counterparts in beauty, but textiles are like tapestry, and silk-screen printing imitates natural silk, but with stronger and more durable performance characteristics.

Main characteristics

Functionally attractive sides:

Beauty, sophistication, chic and charm at correct design and the selection of patterns, designs, as well as the possibility of choosing a corrugated or smooth surface.

sample

Versatility, as they are able to perfectly decorate any space of your home thanks to a wide range.

Strength indicators (wear resistance), which determines a long service life for them at proper care- 10 and more years.

They do not fade from sunlight, they are antistatic, as they do not attract dust to their surface.

It is a non-toxic material, odorless, the dyes do not contain components harmful to health. They are easy to maintain, tolerate wet cleaning, cleaning.

But there is still a "fly in the ointment", and these are disadvantages:

They require high-quality preparation of the surface of the base, so that the walls should be leveled according to all the rules if the substrate is paper.

The dense structure prevents the walls from breathing. Nevertheless, wallpaper manufacturers have set up the production of tapestries with air circulation due to micropores, and this pleases the consumer.

Here the price is not a little happy, since they are expensive. But when choosing, it is advisable to compare price and durability. And if you take into account the fact that you will live in a luxuriously decorated apartment, then I think that you will cut out funds from your budget and purchase silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven basis.

Criterias of choice

When choosing, you will certainly try on tapestries on the walls of your apartment, in which they will live, imagine how silk-screen wallpaper will look in the interior. This can be a kitchen, living room, bedroom, study, etc.

Take the kitchen as an example. First of all, you need to know what requirements silk-screen wallpaper for walls must meet for this room.

sample

This is the density and strength of the material, since it will be used in conditions of temperature differences, the presence of fat deposits, which imposes additional conditions on their care, their regular cleaning, and washing.

Temperature and humidity conditions - the presence of vapors from cooking food, which creates high humidity in the kitchen, that is, silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven base must be moisture resistant.

Resistance to care products - detergents, sponge cleaning and the like.

The principle of choice is clear, the requirements are known, we go to the store. In order not to be mistaken with the choice, you need very little - this is to get acquainted with the marking symbols on which the manufacturers of the tapestries indicate their characteristics.

This language, like "Morse code", is the same for wallpaper manufacturers in all countries, it is the language of the so-called "conventions". You can easily find all the parameters of interest on each roll.

Selection of wallpaper for different rooms

Wallpaper for the kitchen
We decided on the requirements above, so we will choose from dense samples and with a smooth surface. This is also due to the fact that they are easier to keep clean - fat and soot will not settle in the convolutions of the textured layer.

silkscreen in the kitchen

The color spectrum is wide - this is your preference, but you should take into account the area of the kitchen, the color of the floor and furniture ensemble, the light aspect associated with the orientation to the cardinal points.

If the kitchen is small, then choose a lighter wallpaper to visually enlarge it, and everything that is light is elegant. If the walls are far from perfect preparation, do not choose plain copies - they will emphasize only all the flaws.

Hallway- undoubtedly one of the suitable premises for silk screen printing. The entrance hall is the business card of your apartment and it must meet not only functional requirements, but also create the feeling that you entered, saw and wanted to stay.

Wallpaper should be dense, moisture resistant, since we come to the hallway in outerwear, shoes, we bring in particles of dirt - therefore, this room should be cleaned often.

The second and important circumstance is a room without daylight, therefore, it is necessary to create a design of a surface reflecting light, a play of chiaroscuro, which visually increases the illumination due to reflections.

silk screen printing in the hallway

In addition to the practical side, there is also the aesthetic side of the medal, you can choose an exquisite pattern, drawing, experiment with color palette... Then the hallway will sound with the notes that you give it - it will become visually larger, higher, more elegant, lighter.

Wallpaper in the bedroom
The bedroom does not provide for such stringent requirements when choosing wallpaper, like the kitchen, the hallway. Therefore, they can be selected for the bedroom with softer characteristics, thinner in thickness and the range of selection is wider - they are smooth, corrugated, with a soft decorative pattern, floral themes and others.

I recommend choosing the color of the wallpaper in the article on the site - the selection of the color of the wallpaper, where many recommendations are given on the correct harmony of colors, the selection of the pattern, the combination of wallpaper with interior items, the influence of tone on the psychological mood.

silk screen printing in the bedroom

The only negative is that the wallpaper is vapor-proof, and this dictates the frequent ventilation of the bedroom to change the air. But modern designs are made with micropores, which ensures sufficient air circulation, and they have the right to live in the bedroom.

Do not take cheap fakes, quality is a guarantee of environmental friendliness, ask for a certificate of conformity. And according to the design, samples on the non-woven fabric can be chosen of amazing beauty and the bedroom can be decorated as in the fairy tale "A Thousand and One Nights".

Wallpaper for the hall silkscreen
This is truly where you can realize yourself as a designer. If you are an adherent of a certain style, then everything is simple, but, often, you want to experiment and add your own flavor, note, chord, accent and create only your own.

The hall has all the prerequisites for this, since this is a room clean from dirt and here you can choose any texture, pattern, pattern, an interesting combination of wallpaper is possible if you want to emphasize a certain area.

Color, patterns, shapes of different geometry, floral tunes, abstraction - anything you like, but don't oversaturate your perception. You must rest, not stir up the blood.

In addition, the living room is a room for all household members, so all family members should be cozy and comfortable in it, and a stay is desirable.

silk screen printing in the living room

However, it is also a reception room for friends, so the living room should be as smart as a party dress. Silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven base can bring all this to life, the living room will turn into an exquisite, elegant, luxurious corner of your apartment.

How to glue wallpaper silkscreen

I will describe briefly so as not to repeat myself, since everything is described in detail in the article - gluing vinyl wallpaper on both non-woven and paper backing if you prefer this option.

Calculation of the need for tapestries and adhesive composition. We select the glue in accordance with the wallpaper - there are a lot of them for the vinyl series.

Surface preparation, priming, cutting of fabrics, pasting.

When I pasted silk-screen wallpaper on a non-woven base at my home, at first I was simply "drawn" into this beauty of color, silk, sophistication, and not only me - all the household, no, no, but came to admire this marvelous interior.

Here is, perhaps, briefly about silk-screen printing. If you are interested, then create at home a small "paradise" of beauty, attractive and sophisticated design, which, believe me, will cheer you up after a hard day and will contribute to a better rest.
I suggest to watch the video

V this material we will talk about wallpaper with the name silk-screen printing and the methods of gluing them on the walls. This material looks very nice on the walls in apartments and houses. Like any material, silk-screen printing has pluses and minuses, but the appearance is so rich that it makes such wallpapers stand out from other types.

The gluing process has several rules, so it is important to know how to glue silk-screen wallpaper yourself and correctly.

Types and technology of production

The basis for this material is paper. In the process of creating the canvas, the vinyl covering lends itself to dyeing, after which it is heated and embossed.

The technology allows you to get thin wallpaper for walls, and vinyl, due to its smoothness, resembles the structure of silk.

Such a coating is made from two layers:

  1. Polyvinyl.
  2. Paper.

Due to the fact that both materials are perfectly combined with each other and amenable to embossing, the canvas receives high strength, regardless of its thinness. Silk-screen printing does not use silk fibers, and the structure of the fabric can be different:

  1. By thickness.
  2. By invoice.
  3. By color scheme.

It is necessary to select one or another type of coating depending on the room in which the pasting will be carried out. For a hallway or kitchen, it is better to choose a thicker coating, for bedrooms a thinner coating is suitable, but with an unusual color or pattern, depending on the design.

Advantages and disadvantages

Any material has positive and negative sides. Silk-screen printing is no exception and in the table you can see the main characteristics:

Dignitydisadvantages
1 Environmentally friendly material. For pasting, the surface must be perfect, which means that you need to carefully prepare the walls and eliminate even the slightest flaws.
2 There are no foreign smells. The high cost of canvases in comparison with other wallpapers.
3 The coating is easy to maintain. Wallpaper can be washed and cleaned with brushes.Due to their structure, they do not "breathe".
4 Resistant to sunlight, do not fade, the color does not lose its color.
5 Highly big choice silkscreen printing.
6 High operational periods from 10 to 20 years.

When choosing a covering, it is necessary to take into account the density and thickness of the vinyl, as well as the width of the canvas.

On sale you can see silk-screen printing with a width of 3 m canvases. A similar material is used for horizontal gluing on walls so that there is a minimum number of seams.

Preparatory work

Cover the walls with a primer deep penetration

The preparation of the base is a very important stage, it must be treated with scrupulousness. This requires:

  1. Remove old coating.
  2. Remove dirt, dust, stains and plaster from walls that fall off and bendable if present.
  3. Further, an inspection is carried out for evenness. If there are pits or bumps, then they will need to be sealed with putty. The starting and finishing mixture is used. After applying the starting solution and drying it, sand the surface and apply a finishing layer. The walls are left to dry for a day.
  4. After a day, the treated areas are sanded with sandpaper to make the surface smooth.
  5. The walls are primed with a deep penetration mixture and the wallpaper can be glued.

To securely fix the silkscreen to the wall, use special adhesives. If such a composition cannot be found, then glue for heavy webs is used. You will need to dilute it according to the instructions on the package. For information on how to properly prepare the walls for work, see this video:

It is necessary to glue the room after thoroughly rinsing and ventilating it. At the time of pasting, there should be no draft in the room.

Pasting rules

Start pasting from the window

Silkscreen wallpaper for walls is glued using the following technology:

  1. Initially, you need to measure the height of the room in which the work is carried out, after which the dimensions are transferred to the canvas and the necessary pieces are cut. Add a couple of centimeters at the top and bottom to each strip of wallpaper. Thanks to this, it will be easier to stick the canvases.
  2. If there is a picture on the wallpaper, then you need to follow its step. The process of working with such material is quite complicated, so silk-screen printing with a pattern should be glued by a specialist.
  3. Pasting is carried out from the window and ends at doorway... This allows you to hide the seams between the wallpaper.
  4. Next, you need to make glue. For this, the dry mixture is diluted in warm water.
  5. Using a brush, the glue is applied to the wallpaper and the strip is left for 15 minutes to absorb the adhesive.
  6. When the canvas absorbs the glue, it should be pressed down on top of the wall and pressed downward. It is necessary to ensure that the strip extends slightly to the ceiling.
  7. The glued strip should be rolled out with a rubber roller. The work is carried out from the center and is carried out to the brim.
  8. The next strip is glued by analogy. The entire coating should be glued exclusively end-to-end. For an overview of silk-screened wallpapers, see this video:

The overlap of the joints should be very small

Before pasting, paint over the wall behind the radiators, because due to heat, silk-screen wallpaper may lag behind. Separately, it is worth mentioning about corner joints... The strip of wallpaper should be cut so long that it is only slightly on the second wall and is perpendicular to the previous wall.

The other lane should be connected to the previous one. The main thing is to carry out the work carefully. With the help of a plumb line, it will be possible to glue the canvases clearly vertically. To do this, a ruler is applied at an angle where a couple of strips of wallpaper are overlapped, and then the excess is cut off with a sharp blade or knife.

When pasting places near sockets and switches, you will need to first glue the entire surface of the mounting holes, and then make holes in the wallpaper with a blade. Only then can you bend the edges inward and install switches and sockets.

For the highest quality gluing, it is allowed to apply glue not only to the canvas, but also to the walls. Then the pasting will be easier and faster.

Features of work

Patterns on light wallpaper more noticeable than dark

Since silk-screen printing is a material on a vinyl base, all work with them can be carried out by analogy with ordinary vinyl wallpaper. If necessary, they can be painted, and for this, acrylic enamels are used, but only on a latex basis.

Light paint is often used colors, in this case, the embossing will be noticeable on the wall, dark colors cannot create this effect.

Masters advise initially to carry out a test staining on small area wallpaper, in a place that is not visible to the eyes. After that, look at the reaction of the canvas, as well as evaluate the type of paint on the material.

Having studied the information of the article, you can independently paste over the wallpaper in your apartment. The main thing is to carefully prepare the surface and do everything carefully. Silk-screen printing dries quickly enough, if you stick the wallpaper in the morning, then in the evening they will be dry, they can be shown to friends and family.

Silkscreen wallpaper is a common trend in the interior modern apartments... They are chosen both for living rooms and for walk-throughs (hallways and front halls). Silk-screen printing is referred to as vinyl wallpaper and is placed on one of the higher levels by the quality of properties and the variety of patterns. A distinctive feature of their appearance- iridescent silky luster on the surface, emitting silk fabric or its patterns.

Silkscreen wallpaper is one of the highest quality materials for wall decoration.

Gluing wallpaper silk-screen printing is not particularly difficult. But it is worth considering some of the manufacturer's nuances in order to perform the gluing work efficiently and without mistakes. Because it will be impossible to redo an incorrectly pasted canvas.

Silk quality mark on the walls

Silkscreen wallpaper is known for its high price tag compared to other types of wallpaper. This is because they are produced in an expensive way of hot embossing onto paper. It is the embossed vinyl on the top layer of the wallpaper that creates the effect of applied silk. However, some manufacturers save on production processes and apply the topcoat in an artisanal and rough manner, due to which the latter loses its elasticity. Such low-quality products will be poorly moistened when glued to the walls.

If you glue wallpaper with unscrupulous vinyl silk-screen printing, then when glue is applied, their edges will turn out, preventing good adhesion to the walls.

The procedure for gluing wallpaper on a vertical surface.

If you glue silk-screen printing with a well-made top layer, then both it and the paper base of the wallpaper will show their adhesive properties equally well.

As mentioned above, silk-screen wallpaper belongs to the class of vinyl, based on vinyl paper. During the production process, it is dyed, heated and embossed. Due to this, the output wallpaper paper turns out to be the thinnest, but very durable. However, even thin silk vinyl wallpapers are available in varying vinyl thicknesses.

Despite its high price, silk vinyl fully justifies it. Thanks to the qualities of vinyl, you can not only decorate your home professionally, but also enjoy working with it. Preparing walls for gluing

Silk vinyl is glued exclusively to flat walls. If we are talking about previously leveled wall blocks, then silk-screening wallpaper can be started without preliminary preparation of the walls. However, if they require elaboration, then the following inventory will be needed:

  • wall putty (starting and ending);
  • spatulas;
  • sandpaper;
  • primer.

The wall is completely free of old wallpaper, dirt, mold and dust. All surface irregularities are worked out with a starting putty. With the help of a spatula, all flaws in the walls are leveled with neat strokes with a layer of 3 mm. The result is fixed with a final putty, which is applied similarly to the starting one. The sealed walls dry within 24 hours, and then they are sanded with sandpaper. The base coat is applied at the end of the sanding process. Such manipulations will improve the adhesion of the silkscreen to the walls.

It is very important to work out all the irregularities on the surface of the walls, since the non-plastered places will stand out strongly through the pasted over wallpaper.

People like to periodically bring new elements to their homes. To do this, it is not at all necessary to buy a headset from the latest collection or new curtains. It is enough just to re-glue the walls of the rooms with fresh wallpaper. In just 1-2 days, the room will be transformed, and it will be much more pleasant to be in it. , many people know, but currently there are strips for walls different types and quality, and work with each of them is associated with some nuances. For example, silk-screen wallpaper is very popular. Why are they still good and how should this type of wallpaper be glued correctly?

Silk-screen wallpaper does not contain substances harmful to humans, is resistant to sunlight, and is easy to dry and wet clean. With this type of wallpaper, you can create an exquisite interior.

A few words about silk-screen printing

The now fashionable trim stripes have appeared more than 100 years ago. This is the kind vinyl wallpaper on a paper basis. They got their name due to a special manufacturing technology. In the production of this material, vinyl is hot-stamped onto paper. As a result, the surface of the stripes is smooth and very similar in appearance to silk, with the same sheen. The pattern of such wallpaper is usually quite large, but the vinyl stripes on the wall look rich and beautiful.

It is also worth it because they have many advantages. Silk-screen printing is an environmentally friendly product. Any room can be pasted over with this type of wallpaper, even one where it is humid enough (bathroom or kitchen). Silk-screen printing is not afraid of water, so the walls covered with it can even be washed. This type of decor will retain its attractiveness and freshness for a long time. The only drawback of such vinyl wallpaper is its delicate structure, and if you stick it on a rough surface, then any wall defects will break through the canvases, which will negate all the charm of silk-screen printing. To prevent this from happening, the person who bought the hot stamping vinyl will not be disappointed in it forever, before he has to prepare vertical surfaces in a special way.

Preparing walls and vinyl wallpaper for future pasting

The most important stage of work before gluing silk-screen printing is a thorough preparation of vertical surfaces for gluing wallpaper on them. As mentioned above, hot-stamped vinyl will only look great on perfectly smooth and even walls. If the walls in the room do not meet these requirements, they will need to be putty and then primed. First, remove the layer of old wallpaper from all surfaces. This can be done with a metal brush and a knife. Further, the walls are cleaned of dust, pieces of plaster and mold, if any. You can now inspect bare surfaces for irregularities. If cavities and bulges are found, it will be necessary to smooth them out. A starting and finishing putty is suitable for this purpose. The starting mixture should be carefully taken from the container with a spatula and applied to the wall with small strokes, which are then leveled with the same spatula on the wall surface with a layer of 2-3 mm. Particular attention is paid to the base of the walls and surface defects.

The next layer will be the finishing putty, applied to the wall and leveled in the same way. After that, you need to give the surface about a day to dry. After this period, the wall must be sanded with sandpaper to a smooth state. The final stage in preparing the wall for wallpapering is priming. The vertical surface is covered with a special deep penetration primer in order for the canvases to better adhere to it.

To keep the silk-screen wallpaper on the wall, it is recommended to select a special glue for them. It can be a composition for heavy wallpaper. In accordance with the instructions, the glue is diluted with water in a container prepared for it and mixed well. After 15-20 minutes, it will be possible to start the gluing process. In the meantime, it is worth preparing a few wallpaper strips for it. To do this, take a roll of hot-stamped vinyl and unfold it to the full height of the wall. Add 1.5-2 cm to the top and bottom of the canvas and only then cut off part of the roll. Since silk-screen wallpaper is produced with rather large patterns, you will need to select patterns to match them with adjacent stripes. The instruction will help in this, which should indicate at what intervals the pattern is repeated. Next, next to the cut off piece of wallpaper, silk-screen printing of another roll is placed, the corresponding drawing is found, the correspondence is measured with a ruler, a mark is made on the second canvas with a pencil, then it is cut to the required length, like the first. By this time, wallpaper glue is already ready for use.

Gluing vinyl wallpaper silk-screen printing on a vertical surface

The stage of directly placing the hot-stamped vinyl on the wall has arrived. How to properly glue silk-screen printing? First, the windows and doors in the room should be tightly closed so that the wallpaper does not come off several hours after the completion of the work process. Then two prepared strips are placed on the table with the pattern down and glue is applied to them with a brush so that it is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the paper. Then, each canvas is folded in half and left for 10 minutes, since it is not recommended to glue the wallpaper right away: you have to wait until the fabrics are impregnated with the composition. In order for the silk-screen printing to lay on the wall in an even strip, it is advised to use a level and a pencil to mark the line of its placement on the wall. While the wallpaper is impregnated with the composition, a layer of glue should also be applied to the vertical surface with a fur roller or the same brush. Especially carefully they are smeared with the upper and lower parts of the wall.

You need to glue the silkscreen correctly from the window. The first strip is placed on a vertical surface along the marked line and pressed firmly against it. It is better to smooth the wallpaper with a rubber roller, starting from the center of the canvas and dispersing air bubbles to the edges. Further along the level, the location of the second strip of silk-screen printing is noted and glued in the same way as the first, placing it end-to-end with the edges of the first strip. After that, all operations, that is, cutting the rolls, smearing them and the walls with the composition and gluing the wallpaper to the surface, are done in the same way. To avoid smearing the vinyl front side with glue, dry your hands with a clean cloth.

If an outlet or a switch is encountered in the path of the wallpaper, a cross-shaped cut is made above it on the vinyl strip with a knife, which can then be easily cut out in a circle. Wallpaper is most difficult to glue in the corners of the room. Usually, a wallpaper strip is applied to the corner so that part of it is on one, and part on the other wall. Then they take a new strip of silk-screen vinyl with a selected pattern that matches the pattern of the corner strip, and stick it in such a way that it goes over the corner a little from above.
