How to cover the holes in the flower bed from the wheel. We make flower beds from tires and other crafts for plants from tires with our own hands

Many believe that to develop a beautiful landscape design only an experienced specialist can do it. But practice shows that such a point of view has nothing to do with reality. Make a garden or private plot everyone is capable - there would be a corresponding desire.

Basics of landscape design

In order for the dacha or the adjoining territory to look decent, often neither high professionalism nor significant financial costs... Anything can be used: fragments of bricks, stones, plastic bottles, old watering cans and much more.

Flowerbed of tires

For example, an alpine slide, which is the object of dreams of many owners suburban areas, may well be built without the involvement of specialists. The most important thing is not to be afraid to experiment and boldly combine different objects and objects.

Interesting. Often old junk, which, it would seem, is time to throw it away, can do a good job in decorating the territory.

So, for example, from an old wobbly chair you will get a beautiful stand for a flowerpot. With an old chest of drawers, if you tint and decorate it appropriately, you can decorate any blank wall by planting bright flowers in its boxes.

More complex structures can be made from scrap materials, for example, having a metal bar at hand and flower pots, you can build a very interesting vertical flower bed.

Among domestic gardeners and owners of suburban areas, flower beds from tires are in high demand. They will be discussed below.

Types of flower beds from tires

To start creating flower beds from tires with your own hands, you do not need special experience and knowledge. The most important thing is to have the necessary tools and basic information on hand.

By the type of construction, tire beds are:

  • low;
  • high;
  • single-tiered;
  • multi-tiered;
  • curly;
  • suspended;
  • round.

Round flower beds made of wheels are the easiest option in execution. All that is required to organize a flower garden is to take tires, paint them in arbitrary colors, fill them with soil and plant plants.

Interesting. To get an interesting composition from a material such as a tire, you can paint the wheel material in bright colours and, laying on top of each other, form high flower beds.

As for multi-level structures, they are created from tires of various diameters. They are placed on top of each other according to the principle of a toy pyramid (in descending order of size) and filled with soil. This design is perfect for planting ampelous plants.

Layered tire construction

Suspended flower beds made of tires are allowed to be fixed different ways: to a pipe, chains or rope to a tree branch, etc. Only first you should not forget to cover the bottom of the improvised pots with some material.

Step by step instructions

Before proceeding with the manufacture of flower beds from tires, you should decide on the dimensions and design.

Flower-shaped flower bed

Do-it-yourself flower beds look very stylish. To work you need a tire, a sharp knife capable of cutting through thick rubber, and a marker (or chalk).

Flower-shaped flower beds Manufacturing work is carried out as follows:

  1. Markers mark the cut points.
  2. The tire is cut along the circumference in the form of zigzag petals (oval, semicircular or triangular).
  3. The tire is turned over and, driving a knife along the thickening, a circle is cut out from the reverse side of the tire.
  4. Around the circumference inside the tire, transverse cuts are made at a distance of 20 to 25 cm from each other, starting from the cut edge to the end of the tread.
  5. The tire remains unscrewed, and the design of the flower bed is ready.

Then you need to paint the product in a beautiful color, fill it with earth and plant flowers. Oil paint works best. Other types of paint may peel off.

Pot from an old wheel

Pot from an old wheel

Another interesting master class, which will be useful to lead, is devoted to making a stylish garden vase from a worn wheel. For work, you need to prepare a tire, which has a disc, knife and marker. Then they act according to the following scheme:

  1. A zigzag line is marked along the circumference of the tire, along which it will then be necessary to cut.
  2. Cut the tire. To facilitate the cutting work, it is recommended to periodically dip the knife into machine oil.
  3. Turn the tire inside out. It is better to turn it out together and in parts.
  4. The pot is ready. All that remains is the same painting work.

Important! Before pouring soil into such a vase, you must remember to put a gasket on the bottom, in which small holes should be provided to remove excess water after watering.

Flower bed chamomile from tires

This is another simple and interesting option how to quickly make a flower bed in the form of daisies from a wheel. To work will require several tires and a sharp knife. In general, work will take no more than half an hour. The step-by-step workflow is as follows:

  1. All tires are cut in half.
  2. A curly fence in the shape of a flower is formed.
  3. They cover the ground and plant the plants.

Form the heart of the chamomile from flowers. Alternatively, it can be in the shape of a circle, laid out from a material such as a plastic bottle (bottoms to the top) or a stone.

Flower bed chamomile from tires

If you approach the process of creating flower beds from tires creatively, original ideas will not keep you waiting. Answers to questions: is it worth it to additionally use plastic material, how and what to paint the wheels for the flower bed and what to plant in the flower garden as a result, will be found along the way.

Parrot cache-pot

To create an original pots in the form of a parrot from an old wheel, you will need the following materials:

  • a tire with a shallow radial tread;
  • a strip of iron for the clamp;
  • washers, nut, bolt;
  • spanners;
  • drill.

Parrot cache-pot

The work is done in the following order:

  1. With a knife, symmetrical cuts are made in the tire 2/3 along the bead ring.
  2. The side part and the tread are cut at a distance of 1/3. On the larger side, the side part is separated by means of a triangular cutout.
  3. The tire is turned inside out.
  4. The bird's beak is cut from the side.
  5. A smaller part of the tire is cut along its entire length (the cut should be slightly larger than the size of the future beak).
  6. Using a clamp, insert the beak and squeeze the halves.
  7. Drill a hole with a drill.
  8. The halves of the head are pulled together with washers, nuts and bolts. (To make the head narrower than the body, part of the tire must be cut off).
  9. A tail is cut on the larger side of the tire.
  10. The workpiece is painted.
  11. A clamp is made from an iron strip, with which the sides of the pots are pulled together (as an option, an ordinary rope can be used).
  12. Color the parrot in full.
  13. Hang the pots on a rope or screw them with wire to a horizontal structure.

How to turn a tire out

It will take some effort to turn the tire inside out. To make work easier, it is recommended to make large cuts - up to the tread. First, turn one side out, then, slightly flattening the tire into an oval, do it completely.

If you still do not have enough strength, you should cut the part of the flower bed opposite the petals in a circle to remove the steel cord. True, in this case there is a risk that the structure will not keep its shape well enough.

Tire handling

How to cut a tire

You will need a sharp knife to cut the tire. First, a small hole is made in the tire. Then a cutting tool is inserted into it and the material is cut according to a predetermined marking. The knife should be periodically dipped in water or machine oil. This will greatly simplify the task.

How to paint the wheels for a flower bed

When the structure is ready, it remains to paint it. To do this, the surface is completely degreased (for example, with acetone or white spirit) and allowed to dry.

The surface can be additionally primed, but this condition is not required, since even without this, the paint on the rubber lays down quite well. The staining process itself does not differ from similar works on another object.

Planting flowers and rules of care

Having dealt with the question of how to make a tire from a car wheel and how to cut and overlay everything correctly, it's time to understand what is better to plant in a flower bed of tires. Of course, there is no clear instruction as to which flower is best to place in flower beds made of hand-made tires.

Cover with flowers

Nasturtiums look no less bright. But, when planting this flower in flower beds from tires, it should be remembered that the culture does not tolerate transplantation very well. Accordingly, nasturtium should be placed in a permanent place of growth in the form of swollen seeds or ready-made seedlings in peat cups.

In addition, you can plant marigolds, vervain, viola and other not too whimsical flowers.

It is allowed to plant in homemade pots and perennials. These can be chrysanthemums, carnations, daisies, ornamental bows and much more.

The main condition is that the flowers planted in tires should be unpretentious and require minimal maintenance.

No matter how interesting the idea is, and no matter what kind of flowers was planted in an impromptu flower garden, the structure itself should be placed in such a way that access to it remains free. This will allow the plants to be properly cared for. Only in this case the use of tires as flower beds will be justified.

As for caring for flowers, it largely depends on what is specifically planted, and does not differ from the manipulations performed with a similar plant planted in open ground or a flower pot.

Concluding the conversation about how you can make a flower bed out of a wheel, it is worth noting that such a constructive solution within the framework of creating landscape design has a number of undoubted advantages:

  • the durability of the flower bed;
  • good tolerance to temperature changes;
  • practically zero financial costs;
  • high aesthetics.

Rubber is a very malleable material, and the question should not be about how to make a flower bed from a tire (especially since it is very easy), but which version of a flower garden is better to make from a set.

This site provides material on the manufacture of a car wheel. It turns out an original and beautiful product, but bad luck, the number of wheels at my disposal is limited. But much more waste tires have accumulated in the automotive history. It's time to dispose of them. Since there are a lot of tires, I decided to try to speed up the process of converting them into flower beds, cutting a dozen tires with a knife is still a laborious task. Then what to cut car tire? A manual jigsaw was used for cutting. I want to say right away that working with two different units, the best result was shown by a jigsaw with a capacity of 800 watts, the more powerful the better. So below is the answer to the question of how to make a flower bed out of a tire quickly.

The procedure for making flower beds from tires

1. Choosing a tire, of course, if there is a choice. The recommendations are simple. We choose the lightest and with the maximum tread wear - this will greatly facilitate the subsequent eversion.

2. Preparing the tire... If the tire is heavily contaminated with sand and earth, we clean it. Saws on dirty tires dull faster.

3. We mark with a felt-tip pen where you cut, such as petals. It is convenient to use ready-made sector markings on some domestic tires. The petals should not be more than 12-15 centimeters, otherwise the flower bed will not turn out to be round, in these places the rubber will not bend.

4. Cut through in the place of the cut with a knife, a tire for entering a jigsaw.

5. We fix the file in a jigsaw. As mentioned above, the jigsaw for cutting must be taken to the maximum available power. When cutting, I used various files. They all work in approximately the same way. It is convenient to cut with a file for curly sawing, but when sawing errors they often break. Clamp the file, insert it into the cut and start sawing.

6.Sawing, in places of thickening of rubber, feeding is very difficult, to speed up the work, you can round off the petal in the thin part of the side surface of the tire. When approaching the base of the petal, it is necessary to cut before bending, or better before reaching the tread plane - this will facilitate eversion. Having cut one petal, you can rearrange the jigsaw for sawing in the opposite direction, or if you have a curly file, you can also make a rounding at the base of the petal. So sequentially cut out all the petals according to the marking.

7. We cut out the opposite side, you can also cut out the petals or, by reducing your work, cut off part of the side wall and make radial cuts on the remaining part of the side surface. Important, cuts to the tread from the side of the petals must correspond to the cuts on the reverse side, if this is not observed, then when turning in these places there will be an unevenness. Experience has shown that even a very hard tire can be turned out if you completely cut off the side wall of the tire opposite the petals.

It is always pleasant to make something beautiful and useful out of a junk thing. Illustrative example such creativity - beautiful flower beds from tires. It is not difficult to build them, but the benefits from them are enormous. But the fantasy of the summer cottages is not limited to this either. From old wheels, which are often just lying on the road and polluting the environment, they make outdoor furniture, sculptures for the garden, and even rebuild small children's towns.

Such a simple and unsightly material at first glance, like old car tires, in fact, as if specially created so that every summer resident could feel like a real artist and decorate his site with real designer flower beds and original author's sculptures. You can cut from tires, without exaggeration, anything. Such crafts are on a par with those made from plastic bottles all year round will delight the eyes of the owners and guests of the cottage, and most importantly, they will not require special financial investments.

It is also nice that the idea of making DIY crafts from tires is twofold: on the one hand, we dispose of a wheel that polluted the environment, and on the other, we get an original garden decoration or a flower bed.

Crafts from rubber used tires amaze with the variety and how rich the imagination of their authors is. Here are the most common ones:

In the photo - flower beds made of tires

Small flower bed for flowers. The easiest way to make flower beds from tires is to leave the tire as it is, just paint it brightly and fill it with earth. Nothing complicated. Even a weak woman or child can cope with this, and such a flower garden will look great.

This photo shows cups made from old wheels.

Flower beds made of old tires in the form of various objects. Making them harder. The tire is cut into two unequal parts and the larger one is turned inside out. It is worth noting that the edges of the tires can be made in various shapes, it's all about imagination and sleight of hand. In this technique, flower beds are made in the form of a mug, flower, vase. The huge rubber tire cup looks very funny. And some craftsmen, thus, build a whole tea set on their site.

Turtle from old wheels

Flowerbeds and sculptures in the form of animals and fairy-tale characters. A funny tire frog, a kind gnome, a mysterious unicorn, beautiful swans, a three-headed dragon, a turtle, a luxurious carriage, a huge telephone - it's easier to list what is not made of this available material. The only condition is to think over the composition from the very beginning, so that there are no unpleasant surprises later.

In the photo - multi-tiered flower beds or berries

Multi-tiered flower beds from several tires. The simplest in execution is three-tiered, but the number of parts may be more. Several tires of the same or different sizes are stacked on top of each other or in a checkerboard pattern. A well made of tires looks spectacular, stylized as a real one and equipped with all its inherent attributes: a chain, a shaft with a visor, a bucket. Such a flower garden can also be used as a vertical bed for growing berries and vegetables.

Beds of strawberry tires

A flower bed for strawberries made of tires will take up a minimum of space and give a rich harvest. It is perfect for growing seedlings, herbs, peppers. From such a flower bed, you can make a fence for a raspberry or currant bush, or make several of them and delimit the garden with them into cultural zones. It is worth mentioning that a well made of tires is often made not only decorative, but they mask a drainage pit or septic tank with it.

Experienced craftsmen and the craftswomen know many secrets that help them create garden sculptures and do-it-yourself tire beds. They understand best of all how to make unique and inimitable author's crafts out of old rubbish no one needs. Here are just a few of these secrets:

  • Imported tires are best suited for work, since the rubber on them is softer and easier to cut. But in the absence of them, domestic products will also fit. In principle, they are also quite easy to process and allow you to give crafts from them different shapes.
  • Tires intended for use on winter roads are more pliable, easier to cut and easier to handle than those used in summer.
  • The longer the tire has been used and the more it is worn out, the thinner, softer and the easier it will be to work with it: cut and turn out.
  • Before you start creating crafts, the material must be prepared: thoroughly cleaned of dirt, and degreased before painting.
  • Use a sharp knife with a thin butt to cut car tires. You can check how well it is sharpened by running the blade along the notebook sheet, holding it in weight. If the knife does not cut or tear the paper, it is not sharp enough.
  • It is more convenient to cut a car tire for garden crafts if you periodically lubricate the knife with machine oil. This will make it easier to fit into the rubber. Used oil will do as well.
  • When you need to cut out some curly elements, markings are applied to the bus. It will help you achieve a more accurate and accurate result. It is most convenient to apply it with ordinary white chalk, as a last resort, with a marker.
  • The durability of the craft depends on what paint to paint the rubber with. For old wheel tires, both car paints and any street paints are suitable.
  • It is recommended to prime the surface of the tire before painting it. A primer with the addition of a small amount of PVA will increase the strength of the coating and reduce paint consumption.
  • Paints in aerosol cans accelerate the coloring process up to 20-30 minutes, and the painted layer itself is made more uniform.
  • Decorative finishing can be made from scrap materials. For example, glue the surface with pebbles, bottle shards, or lay out pictures of colored plastic bottle caps.

It is better to paint a flower bed from a tire not only from the outside, but also from the inside. This will make them look more aesthetically pleasing, and the black rubber will not show through from the inside.

Of course, each master has his own secrets, and it is unrealistic to list them all. And when you take up this fascinating business - tire sculpture, they will certainly appear with you.

Several workshops on making crafts from old tires

As mentioned above, tire crafts are diverse. Their appearance and the purpose is limited only by the imagination of the master. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the basic models. After familiarizing yourself with them, you will learn how to make a flower bed out of tires with your own hands and you will be able to create original, unlike other and useful garden accessories yourself.

Simple flower bed

A small flower bed, made like a chamomile from one tire, is the simplest basic model. You can make several such flower beds, arrange them hardly and decorate the approach to the house. They are sometimes placed on paved or tiled areas.

We need:

  1. One old tire.
  2. Sharp knife.
  3. Marker or chalk.

Mark the place of the cut with a marker. We will cut the tire along them, from thickening to thickening.

Before cutting the tires, make sure there are no metal cords in them that could ruin the knife. They are usually inserted into truck tires.

We cut the tire around the entire circumference with straight zigzag petals of any shape of your choice (triangular, oval, semicircular).

We turn the tire over and work with it reverse side... Leading the knife along the thickening, cut out a circle from the back of the tire.

Then, along the entire circumference inside the tire, approximately every 20-25 cm, we make transverse cuts from the cut edge to the bend (end of the tread).

After that, the tire must be turned out. The flower bed is ready. It remains only to paint it, giving it a more attractive look, fill it with earth and plant plants.

Garden flowerpot from an old wheel

From an old wheel in a short time, you can make a beautiful garden vase.
These flowerpots look best in a pair in front of the house, on opposite sides of the door or porch. Consider step by step a master class on their manufacture.

We need:

  1. Disc tire.
  2. Sharp knife.
  3. Chalk or marker.

With chalk or a marker, mark a zigzag line along the entire front circumference of the tire, along which we will begin to cut. Thanks to her, the flowerpot will look like a large flower with many petals.

We cut the tire along the marked line with a sharp knife. To facilitate the process, the knife is periodically dipped in machine oil (used oil is also suitable).

After the wheel is cut, we check if the cut sections are not left until the end, and proceed to turning it inside out. It is better to do this together with an assistant, slowly, in parts.

After we managed to unscrew the tire for future flower beds, it turned out that there is a camera in the wheel. It must be cut and thrown away.

The pot is ready. His bowl was made from the main part of the wheel. It is not necessary to remove the disc from the tire. It serves as an elevation and stand for the vase, and the remains of the tire at its base as an additional support.

We just have to clean, degrease and decide how beautifully to paint our new garden vase. When you put the earth in the bowl, do not forget to put a gasket on its bottom so that the earth does not spill out and make several holes in it to drain the water.

Old tire swan

The most popular tire garden sculptures are swans. They are usually placed near an artificial pond, which gives the site a stunning look. You can plant grass in the bird itself, then you get the impression that it looks out from behind the vegetation. Detailed information will help to make it. step-by-step instruction with photo.

We need:

  1. Sharp knife.
  2. An electric drill for making holes for entering the rubber of a knife.
  3. Grinder or file.
  4. Electric jigsaw.
  5. Chalk or marker (marker is still better).
  6. Wire 5-6 mm in diameter (rigid, to shape the neck of a "swan").
  7. Plastic clamps (to shape the head).
  8. Roulette.
  9. Gloves.

According to the scheme, we mark on the tire surface the contours of the future swan according to the following video, in which the author uses dimensions in inches, calling them in the international measurement system - inc. Inch (1inch) = 2.54cm.

How beautiful and neat our sculpture will turn out depends on the accuracy of the marking.

Let's start cutting. At the initial section, we drill 3-4 holes at a distance of 3-5 cm with a drill and cut the tire between them with a knife. Insert a jigsaw into the resulting cut and begin to cut the swan.

After all the contours have been cut out, turn the tire out. We try to do this carefully, because careless movements in the thinnest places can tear it.

To make the bird's figure look more neat, smooth all the sections along the contour with a grinder.

To shape the swan's neck, insert a wire into it. To do this, drill holes in the center of the neck and to the end of the body every 20 cm. We put the wire and fix it in the holes with soft staples.

We shape the head. We make longitudinal cuts and holes, as shown in the photo and using the same wire or plastic clamps we give the swan's head a shape.

Our tire swan is ready. It remains to paint it and make a stand.

The swan can be painted white or not painted at all, leaving it black. Make the beak red. Swans look very nice in a pair: black and white.

Soft rubber swans won't stand without a stand. As it, you can simply take any tire and paint it, for example, blue. Thus, it will symbolize the pond. And you can not be lazy and make it curly.

We make a curly stand in the same way. We mark on the tire the contour along which we will cut, cut the tire along it, turn it out and paint.

In a similar technique, you can make any figures from tires: animals, birds, fairy-tale creatures.

But, if you don't want to mess around with complex markings and cutting, you can do it even easier. For example, collect a cute frog from whole tires.

In the photo - a flower bed in the form of a frog

A tire frog is very simple to do. From one or more tires, the body and head are assembled, from small wheels, for example from a baby carriage, eyes, and from rubber scraps of feet.

Flower bed chamomile

A decoration that is easier to do than this flower bed is hard to come up with. Despite the fact that it will need several car tires, it can be assembled in just 15-20 minutes, it looks cute, neat and will never be superfluous.

We need:

  1. Three old tires of the same size.
  2. Sharp knife or grinder.

All tires, having previously designated the places of the cuts, are cut in half. Find out if the rubber contains metal cords before cutting. The knife will not take them, so use a grinder.

To give the future flower bed aesthetics, you can paint the tires. It is better to do this in advance, immediately after cutting.

Watching tire decorations in other people's front gardens, people often sigh with envy. It is believed that not everyone can make a flower bed out of tires with their own hands. But the work of the master is afraid, and it is worth trying to decorate a summer cottage or a flower garden at the entrance on your own. Here are some ideas and instructions for implementing them.

Advantages of flower beds made of tires or tires

People increasingly prefer tires when decorating flower beds because:

  • material for decoration can be obtained for free using old tires;
  • used tires become soft and easy to handle;
  • landscape designers do not need a lot of tools to work with tires;
  • tires are easy to paint and refresh color over time;
  • tire beds last a long time, and their restoration does not require much effort;
  • decorations made of tires can be moved to another place if necessary.

The simplest flowerbeds of tires are obtained with ordinary tire dyeing.

Making flower beds with your own hands

Having decided on the appearance of the future flower bed, prepare everything you need for decoration:

  1. Select location decorative decoration and free the area from excess trash. Organize drainage to drain water from the flower bed.
  2. Get a suitable tire. Due to the softness and fineness of the material, imported rubber products are best processed. Winter option tires are more pliable. If you turn out a tire, take heavily worn tires with thinned rubber.
  3. Remove dirt and unnecessary buildup from the tire surface.
  4. Make markings on the tire with chalk or a marker if you are planning a flowerbed of curly elements.
  5. Take care of availability necessary tools- a sharp knife, brushes, paints and other things, depending on the design project. Automotive paint can be used to paint the rubber. Nitro enamel and paints with an acrylic composition are also suitable.
  6. Prepare pebbles, shells, and other items that can be used for decoration.

Creative design of flower beds made of tires is a simple art

Before decorating the flower bed, you may have to cut it. People with strong hands can cut the side of the tire with an ordinary knife, after having lubricated the blade with grease. The knives get stuck in the rubber and the grease makes them easy to remove. The most convenient way is to use a jigsaw or a grinder. Since the work of the grinder on rubber may be accompanied by unpleasant odor, experts recommend making one cut with this tool, and then act with a jigsaw. Only a grinder can handle the protector.

Do not forget about safety precautions. The tire must be securely fastened so that the cutting tool does not break off.

Some design options for flower beds require the tire to be turned out. It is rarely possible to do this on your own; it is better to call an assistant in advance. The tires must be turned out correctly as follows:

  1. Cut the tire along the tread on one side.
  2. Put on flat surface whole side up.
  3. Grasp the cut with your hands and pull towards you, pressing and flattening the splint into an oval.

To turn the tire yourself out, you can step on it

Decorating tire beds is most often accompanied by painting. It should be done correctly:

  1. Degrease the surface of the tire with white spirit or acetone.
  2. Wait until it is completely dry and use sandpaper to sand the surface of the tire.
  3. Lay polyethylene under the future product so as not to stain the painting area.
  4. Apply 3-4 coats of paint, the first of which should be white.

It is better to choose light colors so that the plants in the flowerbed do not overheat. A dark surface attracts the sun's rays. You can use bright shades, but always in harmony with the flower color.

Solid tire beds look better with flowers

Helpful tips for coloring:

  • in order for the flower bed to have a neat appearance, it must be painted from the top and the inside;
  • you can paint the tire with a brush, but to save time it is better to use aerosol cans;
  • the paint applied in a thick layer will crack quickly under the influence of high or low temperatures;
  • each layer of paint should be thin and dry for at least a day;
  • you can apply a pattern to the tires using a stencil, paint the bumps on the tread, or leave the tires in a solid color.

If the appearance of the tires does not get tired, you can decorate the flower bed with stones or plastic bottle caps.

The shape of the tires allows you to beautifully stone them without much effort

Three-tiered tire bed

For multi-tiered flower beds, tires of different diameters are used. Procedure:

  1. Prepare a place for a future flower bed.
  2. Put on the largest diameter tire and fill it with earth from the inside.
  3. Install a medium-diameter tire on top, filling it with earth too.
  4. Place a small tire in the third tier and pour the earth inside.

If using cut rails, secure the edges in each tier with staples or wire.

From tires cut across, you can assemble an original multi-tiered flower bed Tires of the same diameter, laid on top of each other, form a tall flower bed An easy-to-construct flower bed of three layers of old tires looks good in the garden A fence in the form of a flower bed made of old tires will successfully delimit the territory of the site

A flower bed from a tire with a disc

If the tire comes with a disc, then you can build original decoration for garden:

  1. Mark a cutting line around the entire circumference of the tire.
  2. Cut the part along the contour.
  3. Check for any uncut areas.
  4. Unscrew the workpiece slowly, piece by piece. If there is a camera in the wheel, it must be carefully removed.
  5. Sand the edges and start painting.

Smooth edges give a flower bed made of a tire with a disk a similarity to a bowl

Tire flower

Flower-shaped beds are one of simple options clearance:

  1. Select the shape of the petals of the future flower.
  2. Mark the side of the tire.
  3. Cut out the petals with a handy tool.
  4. Turn the workpiece inside out and place it in the prepared place.
  5. Paint the flower bed.

You can cut the tires into several pieces and lay out flowers from them.

The monochromatic color of the flower bed looks harmoniously with the variegated flowers in it Some note the similarity of tire beds to the sun. Beautiful flower can be laid out from the halves of tires, painted in different colors If you paint the bottom of an inverted tire in green color, and the top - with bright paint, you get a rose or tulip

Tire swan

A flowerbed in the shape of swans is a universal decoration adjoining territory... They do it like this:

  1. Sketch the outline of the bird's neck and head on the tire, taking a pattern online or using your imagination.
  2. Cut out the swan starting at the base of the neck.
  3. Make cuts for the tail and feather wings.
  4. Unscrew the tire.
  5. Make a bird's beak out of plywood or plastic and paint it red.
  6. Attach the beak to the swan's head.
  7. Secure the neck: drill paired holes in the tire and attach the neck with a thin wire to the aluminum bar from the outside.
  8. Color the swan, and after the paint dries, glue the eyes of black electrical tape on the bird's head.

Swan's head and neck are cut from the tire tread

Tire swans can be made in several ways, but the technology is similar.

Tire beds - simple and tasteful

You don't have to be a top-class professional to create tire beds. First, they determine the location of the future composition and make a sketch of the structure. On small area it is appropriate to arrange a single form in the form of a cute frog, a graceful swan, a fabulous carriage or a bright parrot, as in the photographs of the flower beds below.

Larger installations are required for a spacious lawn. For example, multi-tiered flower beds from car tires or vertical volumetric structures, as in the following photos.

Flower beds can be of various shapes:

  • Low and high.
  • Round and oval.
  • Multi-tiered.
  • In the form of figures of animals, objects and flowers.

After deciding on the location and shape, prepare materials and tools. For work, in addition to tires, a sharp knife and paint may come in handy:

  • Stones of different sizes.
  • Metal grid.
  • Technical marble.
  • Remains of building materials.
  • Decorative stone for aquarium, etc.

When everything is ready, you can get to work.

We make flower beds from tires

The simplest is the shape of the flower. The higher the tire, the larger it will be. Before you make a flower bed out of a tire, you need to choose a tire. It is better to take a used imported product with softer and thinner "winter" rubber. It's easier to work with her. The tire is first cleaned, washed and dried. Then the lines of future petals are applied in a contrasting color, the upper part is cut out and taken out, as in the photo of the flower beds placed below.

For further decoration, use enamel, oil or nitro paint. On a clean, dry rubber surface, they spread evenly and last for a long time. You can also use car paint or spray cans to paint your tire flower bed. It is better to choose a color of light shades so that the roots of future plants do not overheat. The construction of pure white tires looks very elegant.

Or multi-tiered flower bed from tires, decorated with light stones of different sizes.

The combination of different colors looks interesting.

Or, conversely, a monochromatic composition.

When painting tires, you need to grip the upper part of the surface from the inside a little to give a more aesthetic look.

Before staining, you need to carefully consider how it will look from tires with blossoming plants. If the flowers are supposed to be bright and contrasting, then the tire should be monotonously modest. And, conversely, with an intricate flower bed, flowers are planted small, low.

The flowerpot will look interesting when the color of the plants resonates with the shades of the container. If you wish, you can glue oval-shaped glass aquarium stones to the flowerbed in the form of a flower - they will create the illusion of dew.

Multi-tiered flower bed

This installation will require several tires of different or identical diameters. The middle is cut out of them to make rings and the structure is assembled:

  • The largest tire is installed first.
  • The bottom is lined with sand and gravel. Fertile soil is poured on top.
  • A smaller tire with the same filling is centered on top.
  • The number of tiers depends on the size of the elements.
  • Flowers or useful plants(strawberries) are planted in the spaces formed between the rings.

Flowerbed - a swan from a tire

An ordinary tire painted white can be a real masterpiece. For a swan figurine, the inner part is not cut out of it so that its weight can keep its shape.

30-40 mm recede from the edge of the tread and two rounded cuts are made parallel to the circumference on opposite sides for two-thirds of the entire surface. The narrow middle part will make the neck, and the wide lateral ones will make the wings. The middle part is cut off on one side and a head is formed at its end. Then the tire is turned inside out and the wings appear. They are modified with cuts of various lengths, imitating feathers. The wings can be bent as you like - the angle of inclination can be any. It remains only to paint the bird white, let it dry and you can plant flowers, for example, forget-me-nots.
