Water heaters have a fairly wide range of applications, and for a number of reasons they are much more practical than full-fledged boilers. But even outstanding structures can break. And the traditional European quality, alas, does not guarantee complete protection against such problems.

Manual ignition on the 11p model is achieved through the use of a prepared piezoelectric element and a control knob inserted into the front panel. The advantage of the non-volatile design is its relative cheapness, achieved, among other things, due to the rejection of the digital screen. The system has a thermal rating of 22 kW and a water capacity of 11 liters in 60 seconds.

The copper heat exchanger is harmoniously docked with a hydraulic group made of high quality brass. The gas burners themselves are made of stainless steel. Any Baxi speaker is equipped with devices that provide smooth modulation of the assigned power. A reducer that controls the gas pressure is also built into them. Automated models monitor the fire using an ionization element, and piezoelectric ones are equipped with a thermocouple.
The technical characteristics of the gas water heaters cannot be fully described without mentioning the dimensions of the device. The 11-liter model has dimensions of 58.2x31.4x24.5 cm, for the version designed for a flow of 14 liters, they are increased to 65x36.5x24.5 cm.The chimney cross-sections in these cases are 11 and 13 cm. A different approach is needed when the column 11i, 14i does not light up. First of all, it is worth checking the health of the batteries. After that, inspect the wire through which the current flows to the electrode. Additionally, you will have to examine the electrode itself, automation, and the membrane. Such manipulations and subsequent repair (replacement) must be performed by trained specialists.
The user himself can create the required water pressure by turning the regulator to the extreme position. It so happens that the spark seems to slip, but it still fails to turn on the column. Highly common reason the nozzle is dirty ignition device, which is blown and cleaned mechanically. You should also check if the ignition electrode is correctly positioned.
Additional measures include checking the opening of the gas valve, removing air trapped in the gas pipeline and replacing the problematic electronic unit. When the igniter burner goes out randomly, you will have to change either the thermocouple or the coil. Based on customer reviews, it is sometimes found that the fuse is on fire, but it does not initiate combustion of the main torch. The solution to the problem is to increase the water pressure in the system or change the worn out membrane. Sometimes there is another problem: even when the water is stopped, the burner does not go out.
The first step is to clean the gas valve shutter. Then the piston or rod in the water valve is disassembled, if cleaning does not help, these parts will have to be changed. The next step involves checking the microswitch lever for proper operation (only for models with automatic). Devices running on liquefied gas, may experience a similar violation if the regulator does not work properly. Too long ignition, accompanied by a flapping in the burner, is "cured" by adjusting the flame strength, cleaning the ignitors and injectors.
In the case when the heat exchanger plates clog up too quickly, it can be assumed that the reason is insufficient draft, in the dustiness of the room. The chimney is examined and the draft level is increased, if necessary. You can fight a yellow flame if you use only the type of gas for which the column is configured. Cleaning the burners can also often help. If you smell gas, it is necessary to inspect the pipeline and all joints with a soapy solution, observing standard precautions.
It so happens that the "aroma" of gaseous combustion products spreads through the room. They begin to eliminate the problem by checking the draft in the chimney and the quality of smoke removal. It is also worth assessing whether the gas consumption has increased excessively, because its intensive combustion can exceed the evacuation capacity of the chimney. If, upon introduction new battery the column screen shows the readings of the temperature sensor, but the system does not work when the hot tap is opened, it is required to adjust the screw that presses the pusher button to the microswitch lever.
