Principle of operation and rules of operation;

Kneading in a concrete mixer of hard concrete (water-cement ratio 0.5) without impurities (organic, clay, etc.);
install the machine on flat surface(preferably concrete floor);
connect the machine to a 220 V network with a grounded wire.
lower the matrix to the floor by lifting the lifting lever and press the stopper fixing the matrix;
with the second lever, raise the matrix with voids and take it to the extreme position away from you;
load the semi-dry mixture inside the machine. Level the level of the semi-dry mixture with a trowel;
briefly turn on the vibrator, while the clamping frame with hollow cores must be pulled back. After that, if necessary, fill up the semi-dry mixture in the corners, pull the clamping frame towards you and lower it with a lever into the matrix and turn on the vibrator by hand, pressing the micrik (when the micrik is released, the vibrator turns off);
vibrate for 20 s. ;
after that, the clamping frame will drop to its limiters; Grasp the lifting lever with both hands and lift the die. Raise the matrix with the vibrator on (vibration should be small);
after raising the matrix, the limiter itself will fix the matrix in the raised state;
then roll the machine back to the width of the cinder block and repeat the cycle.

The protective function of the fence, used since antiquity, has recently ceased to be the main and only purpose of any type of fencing. The increasing requirements for the aesthetic design of the site are forcing architects and designers to look for new ways to use the fence as a means of visually changing the overall picture of the building.

French stone fence

A fence made of French stone with a wide variety of shapes and colors allows you to make beautiful fence, which is clearly seen in the photo, with high durability and strength, and at a relatively low price.

What is French stone?

This is what a French stone looks like

Reference: French stone is a concrete block correct shape, obtained by vibrocompression of fine concrete with a compression force of about 400 tons.

This provides the material with excellent characteristics:

  • High compressive strength and density;
  • Increased thermal insulation properties;
  • Low hygroscopicity, allowing to withstand multiple cycles of freezing and thawing;
  • High accuracy of linear dimensions;
  • No need for additional decorative processing;
  • The possibility of obtaining a dyed material in the mass.

The hollow construction of French stone blocks allows you to save mortar when laying, and the excess mortar squeezed inward form a monolithic step that prevents horizontal displacement, which is especially important when laying the fence.

One of the distinctive properties of the finished block is its low weight, which facilitates installation, and reduces the requirements for the strength of the base.

Self-made French stone is shown in the video:

Types of stone used in the construction of fences

When erecting stone fences, two types of blocks are mainly used, made according to French technology:

  • The main fabric of the fence is laid out of French stone with linear dimensions of 120x200x400 mm. The wall thickness is 30 mm, and the central bulkhead is 50 mm, which, with a compressive strength of 50 kg / cm2, provides an excellent load-bearing capacity. Depending on the form used front side the block can be smooth or, as seen in the photo, simulate the surface resulting from the splitting of granite, sandstone or other natural minerals, which significantly increases the aesthetic possibilities of the material;
  • Not a single fence is complete without the main bearing elements - posts, for the manufacture of which blocks with a width increased to 200 mm are used and, if necessary, equipped with special protrusions that create a strong locking connection of the post and the canvas. The increased thickness of the posts improves the resistance of the entire fence to the loads applied in the horizontal plane. The front side of the posts can also have a different front surface, which expands the aesthetic possibilities in the manufacture of a French fence.

Both the columns and the stone for the main canvas can have a natural gray color of dried concrete, or they can be painted by adding various pigments to the mass prepared for pressing, which ensures uniform color throughout the entire thickness of the finished product. The dyes are resistant to UV light, weathering and retain their original appearance for a long time.

Imitation of natural masonry

The options for making a French fence from colored blocks with a combination of a torn and smooth surface shown in the photo clearly show that using this inexpensive material, you can even imitate the appearance of a medieval castle wall.

Laying of similar fences

It is necessary to start the manufacture of any fence with a high-quality foundation. For French stone, due to its low weight compared to natural materials, the cost of building a foundation is much lower. For such a structure, a small concrete base with one belt from a ready-made reinforcement mesh industrial production with a thickness of rods of about 6 mm or a lightweight pillar foundation. Tied around the perimeter with a tape of reinforced concrete.

Advice: The blocks are laid on a cement-sand mortar used for "under joining" masonry. The masonry seam of such a fence can be either convex or concave, depending on the preferences of the owners of the site.

Due to the fact that the material has a flat surface and the correct geometric dimensions, the laying process is not particularly difficult for an experienced bricklayer, and with some experience, you can carry out the laying yourself. However, you should take into account the maximum load on the seam and divide the work into several stages, which ensure the setting of the mortar and prevent the structure from collapsing under its own weight.

Decoration option

To give additional weather resistance, fences made of French stone can be painted with special protective compounds and paints, but even without additional processing, the service life of a correctly folded canvas is about 50 years.

Thanks to stone blocks made according to French technology, modern developers have the opportunity to make imitating a natural stone fences of great length and high strength, allowing you to turn any house and plot into a real fortress.

A fence made of French stone is a great opportunity to protect your home from encroachments and make the courageous design ideas... French stone is preferred by the owners of many suburban areas due to its decorative effect and durability.

This is what a classic French stone fence looks like.

French stone: the benefits of using

The material received the name French not at all because it was brought from France. This is the name of the special, hollow inside, which are produced by a special method of vibrocompression.

Such a production technology was created by French technologists, they also invented equipment for the production of this building material... Therefore, the result of their labor is called French blocs. French stone is treated with special moisture-proof compounds, which makes it possible to maintain its integrity under the influence of moisture.

In their own way appearance this material resembles rough or smooth to the touch. Benefits of using French stone:

Preparatory work for the installation of a French fence

In order for the result of the work to please for a long time, before starting construction, you need to carefully prepare a site for placing the future fence. The fence will have an impressive size and fairly heavy weight, so before you start laying the fence, you need to carefully level the soil, remove all vegetation, fill the holes and tamp them.

It is important to remember that in the event of subsidence of the soil, the masonry will collapse and the fence will crack. Mandatory at the stage preparatory process a general plan for the construction of the fence is drawn up, the necessary markings are carried out, the necessary measurements and calculation of the material are carried out.

Scheme of a combined fence made of French stone

It is better to make a sketch of the future structure in advance, it will always be possible to compare the correctness of the masonry. As a rule, the main fabric of the fence is laid out from French blocks measuring 12x20x40 cm.

The wall thickness is about 3 cm, which, with sufficient material strength, provides the proper bearing capacity.

Depending on the texture of the stone, the front side of the fence can be smooth or rough, imitate sandstone, granite and others. natural materials... The construction of the fence is impossible without the installation of support pillars. For their manufacture, French blocks can be used, which have special protrusions that create a strong “lock” connection between the pillar and the main fence.

An example of support pillars made of French blocks

The front side of the pillars can also have a different texture. Both the support posts and the main railing can have a natural gray concrete color. Also, French stone can be colored with a variety of pigments. The process takes place at the stage of pressing the prepared mass, this ensures a uniform color over the entire area of the finished product. The paints used are very resistant to sunlight, atmospheric precipitation and retain their original appearance for a long time.

French fences, laid in a combined way of smooth and rough blocks, will help create a unique medieval style. You can experiment with color and come up with a variety of combinations to decorate the site.
