Gas connection to the wall-mounted boiler Beretta Ciao 24 CSI

Before connecting the Beretta Chao boiler to the gas network, make sure that:

Applicable standards have been complied with;

The type of gas corresponds to that for which the device is designed;

The gas pipeline is cleaned of dirt.

In order to avoid unnecessary pressure losses, the gas connection must be made with a rigid connection with a diameter of at least ¾ ’. Before the gas enters the boiler, a shut-off valve must be installed (not included in the scope of delivery).

Filling the heating system

To fill the system, carry out the following sequence of actions:

Unscrew the air vent cover two or three turns.

Make sure that the inlet valve is cold water open.

Open the filling valve and keep it open until the pressure on the pressure gauge reaches a value between 1 and 1.5 bar.

When the system has finished filling, close the make-up valve.

An automatic air separator is installed on the Beretta Ciao 24 boiler, so no additional operations are required to release air from the system.

The burner will only ignite if the venting phase has been completed.

Flue gas removal and air intake

The Beretta Chao boiler must be connected to coaxial or separate chimneys and air ducts, which must be led out through the roof or outer wall.

Effective and safe operation is only guaranteed if original flue and air ducts are used for units with a closed combustion chamber.

This equipment is not included in the standard package and is supplied by separate order. When installing chimneys and air ducts, make sure that all connections are made correctly, in accordance with the attached instructions.

It is allowed to connect several boilers to one collective chimney, provided that all of them have a sealed combustion chamber.

To ignite the Beretta Ciao 24 boiler, you must perform the following operations:

Switch on the power supply to the unit.

Open the gas cock in front of the device.

Set the mode switch to the required position:

Summer mode: the boiler will be in standby mode until a request for heating water in the DHW circuit appears.

Winter mode: set the switch inside a zone divided into segments, in this case the boiler will start operating in heating mode and when a signal appears, it will automatically switch to the DHW heating mode.

Set the room thermostat to the desired value (approx. 20 ° C).

Adjustments and maintenance of the boiler Beretta Chao

Adjusting the maximum and minimum power for the DHW circuit

- Fully open the hot water tap.

- set the switch to Summer mode.

- set the temperature regulator in the DHW circuit to the maximum position.

- Turn the main switch to the on position to turn on the electrical power to the Beretta Ciao 24 CSI boiler.

- Make sure that the pressure displayed on the pressure gauge is stable; alternatively, take a milliammeter, connect it in series with the modulator and make sure that the maximum available current is supplied to the modulator (120 mA for G20 gas and 165 mA for LPG).

- Remove the protective cap from the adjusting screws on gas valve gently prying it off with a screwdriver.

- Using a standard CH10 spanner, turn the maximum power adjusting nut to obtain the desired pressure.

- Disconnect one terminal from the modulator.

- Wait until the displayed pressure value on the pressure gauge has stabilized at the minimum level.

- Using a screwdriver or special wrench, turn the red minimum power adjustment screw so that the required pressure value is displayed on the pressure gauge.

- Connect the terminal back to the modulator.

- Close the hot water tap.

- Carefully and carefully slide the protective cap back onto the adjusting screws.

Electronic regulation of the minimum and maximum power of the Beretta Chao boiler in heating mode

The electronic regulation function is enabled and disabled only with a jumper (JP1). The control panel will blink green and red alternately.

- Switch off the Beretta Ciao 24 CSI boiler.

- Remove the cover to gain access to the electronic board.

- Install jumper JP1, the knobs located on the control panel will begin to perform the functions of adjusting the minimum and maximum power in heating mode.

- Make sure that the operating mode selector is in the winter position.

- Switch on the power supply to the unit. The electronic board is energized (230 volts).

- Turn the temperature control knob in the heating circuit until the minimum value gas pressure for heating mode.

- Install jumper JP2.

- Turn the DHW temperature control knob until the maximum gas pressure for heating mode is reached.

- Reconnect the pressure compensation connection to the air sampling chamber.

Disconnect the pressure gauge and tighten the screw on the pressure gauge connection.

To exit setup mode without saving the setpoints, do one of the following:

Set the mode switch to the (OFF) position.

Disconnect the power supply.

Remove jumper JP1 / JP2.

The setting mode ends automatically, and the minimum and maximum values ​​are not saved, after 15 minutes after its activation.

The setting mode ends automatically also in the event of a preliminary or final emergency stop. In this case, the specified parameters will also NOT be saved.

To set only the maximum power in heating mode, you can remove the JP2 jumper (in order to save the maximum), then exit the setting mode without saving the minimum, for which set the operating mode switch to (OFF) or turn off the power supply to the boiler. At the end of the adjustments:

- Return the temperature set on the room thermostat to the required value.

- Set the water temperature regulator in the heating system to the required value.

- Close the panel with monitoring and control devices.

In order for the Beretta Chao boiler to operate reliably and efficiently, it must be systematically maintained at regular intervals.

- Switch on the electric power supply to the boiler.

The boiler will operate at maximum power, which will allow the analysis of combustion products. After completing the measurements, close the hot water tap, remove the gas analyzer probe and close the fitting used for sampling combustion products for analysis by carefully tightening the screw that was previously removed.
