The North-Eastern Pedagogical University was founded in 1946 and is the only multidisciplinary University in the north-east of China. The university is located in the beautiful "Northern Spring City" of Changchun, Jilin Province. The main priority areas are the Chinese language and literature, pedagogy, history, biology and chemistry. Since the founding of the university, it has been possible to establish friendly relations of exchange and cooperation with 160 universities from different countries, such as the USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, and Korea. About 1000 foreign students study at the university annually.

From November 12 to November 15, 2009, NSUH received a delegation from the North-Eastern pedagogical university, which included employees of the department international relations Song Desheng, Tien Linzhou, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Liu Yubau, and Vice-Rector Wang Baiyuan. The main purpose of the delegation's trip was business negotiations with the rector of NSUH, as a result of which an agreement on further cooperation was signed.


As part of the agreement signed during the visit of the SVPU delegation, NSUH annually receives a quota for participation in the scholarship program of the Chinese government. Participation in this program involves obtaining a master's degree from the SPPU. Master's degree programs are conducted in English. Biology, Chemistry, Pedagogy are the main subjects of specialization at SVPU. In September 2010, Natalya Komarova became the first NSUH student to receive the opportunity to study in the Master's program at the North-Eastern Pedagogical University with a degree in Biology.

In July 2010, NSUH students had a wonderful opportunity to visit the People's Republic of China: they took part in the summer Sino-Russian camp organized by the North-Eastern Pedagogical University.

Scientific and technical library of SVSU

The SVSU library is one of the oldest libraries in the Magadan region. It was established in 1961 as a structural subdivision of the current Northeastern State University.
