For example, if you have lost your credit card, and notifications or calls about any transactions on it come to your mobile number, in no case confirm them and immediately block the card. You can restore it quickly and easily, but you will be sure of the safety of your funds.

Step 1. Block your lost card

Step 2. Contact the police
Special tourist police are involved in crimes against foreigners in many countries. How do I find their office? Just ask a passerby to make a call to the emergency number (like 911), they probably know where he is. Tell the police about the missing documents right away. At the police station, you must fill out an application and provide a certificate of loss. The police may not have an interpreter, and it will be necessary to explain with signs, gestures, drawings. The police will tell you how to write a statement, make a copy of it and certify it. A certified copy of your application must be taken from the police with you.

Step 3. Contact the consulate or embassy of Ukraine
Get a certificate from the police about the loss of documents and as soon as possible go to the nearest consulate, embassy or representative office of Ukraine abroad. Only here you will be given a temporary certificate proving your identity.

Advice: always take with you on a trip notarized copies of your internal and foreign passport (always with registration pages) and keep them separate from other documents.

If you do not have copies of documents, you can bring several fellow citizens with you to the police to confirm your identity. They must have their passports with them. For registration and certification of the signature of each witness, you will need to pay a fee.

You can stop the movement of assets on a plastic payment card using a financial phone by sending an SMS command to the short number - 10060. At the bank branch
