The history of the Ivanovo Institute began in the mid-60s, when a fire-technical school was founded in the city with a variable composition of 500 units and a permanent composition of 170 units. Decent learning outcomes, thanks to the qualifications of the research and teaching staff, were noted by renaming the academy into a full-fledged higher educational institution - an institute. A significant event took place at the end of January 2015. Since that time, the number of applicants and students has dramatically increased, the teaching staff has undergone significant changes.

Today, a modern educational and scientific complex trains about one and a half thousand ordinary employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and rescuers, the total number of students is more than two and a half thousand. Reception of applications from applicants is carried out for training at the expense of the budget and on a commercial basis.

Located on an area of over 20 thousand square meters, the educational and material base consists of lecture halls, educational laboratories of a multifunctional training and training complex, laboratories, and specialized classes.

On a specially equipped field of the educational institution, practical classes are held in disciplines important for future rescuers:

  1. Carrying out in case of emergencies on landslides, rubble, etc.
  2. Extinguishing fire and eliminating emergencies in aviation and on the railways.

Much attention is paid to physical development. The preparation of students of the Academy is one of the best in the country, which is carried out in a specialized educational building with the use of sports arenas. Cadets can improve their skills in the sports and wrestling hall. Competitions are regularly held on the field of our own stadium with treadmills. The stadium is equipped with stands for support groups with a capacity of 350 people. A sports town, a modern library with Internet access, a 550-seat club allow you to satisfy a variety of interests.

Practice is the main factor in successful learning!

A feature of the educational process at the IASA State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is that students and cadets take an active part in eliminating emergency situations of a different nature, extinguishing a fire. in the central territories, starting from 1972, the combined detachments of the educational institution were extinguished. For professional and decisive actions of the consolidated detachment of the institute in extinguishing forest peat fires (2010) in the Ivanovo and Vladimir regions, 150 employees and cadets were awarded government awards and thanks from the governors.

History of the Voronezh Institute of State Fire Service of the Ministry of EmergenciesOf Russia

In 1930, with the development of industry in the Voronezh region, it became necessary to replenish the fire brigade with qualified workers, fire-technical workers and command personnel were required.
In this regard, a project for the construction of a building for a training fire brigade was approved. The site for the construction was allocated along Koltsovskaya and Verkhne-Streletskaya streets (currently, the intersection of Koltsovskaya and Kutsygina streets). In September 1932, the construction of the educational building was completed. On the ground floor there was a garage, above it there were classrooms. The third floor housed the chemical and physics laboratories. V one-storey annex in the courtyard there was a hostel for cadets of regional annual fire-technical courses. The end part of the building, overlooking Verkhne-Streletskaya, was a canteen for cadets, while the rest of the premises were occupied by apartments.
Boris Yalovsky was appointed the first head of the regional fire-technical courses. The first set consisted of 36 people - 35 men and one woman. Since 1934, it has already been a 2-year fire school, two years later - again training courses for junior command personnel of city fire departments, and later - the 3rd fire department of Voronezh until 1941.
The building was destroyed during the war, but in 1948 it was completely restored. The general view has remained the same at the present time. Since 1974, the building has housed the Office of the State Fire Service of the Voronezh Region.
April 29, 1967 Minister of Security public order In the USSR, an order was signed on the creation in the city of Voronezh of a training detachment of a paramilitary fire brigade. On July 5, 1968, in the Training Unit, classes began at a two-month training camp for the retraining of the middle commanding staff of the professional fire brigade. The training camp was attended by representatives of 9 regions: Astrakhan, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Rostov and Tambov.
Since 1968, the detachment began training junior command personnel of paramilitary fire brigades for the first time. Two groups were completed: the first - for the training of junior inspectors and assistant instructors of prevention, the second - for the training of department commanders. According to the order of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, cadets from the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Moscow, Novgorod, Tambov, Tula and Yaroslavl Regions were enrolled.
On February 6, 1970, the detachment was allotted a plot of 3.5 hectares for the construction of a complex of buildings for a Training fire brigade for 150 people on Krasnoznamennaya Street in the Leninsky District of Voronezh. On May 12, 1971, the detachment received an Act on the provision of the specified land plot for perpetual use. In the meantime, the detachment was stationed in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Voronezh (Oktyabrsky prospect, 124). The training fire station with all utility and service premises was located in the former building of the 4th militarized independent fire station, which was built in the years of the first five-year plans.
In 1974, through the efforts of the OKS of the Internal Affairs Directorate and with the active help of the garrison of the fire department, two new buildings were built at 231 Krasnoznamennaya Street). The detachment moved to a new location and was almost immediately renamed the School for the preparation of junior and middle command personnel.
In October 1984, the School for the preparation of junior and middle command personnel was renamed into the Training Center of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR.
On the basis of this center in 1993, the Voronezh fire-technical school was created.
The school managed to combine all the best that has been accumulated by several generations of the teaching staff, since 1967. The material and technical base of the future school, its intellectual potential was created by the great and selfless work of the former employees of the training center. In 2002, the correspondence department was created for the first time.
Today, the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Voronezh Institute of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia" is included in the system of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia and is a fire-technical educational institution that trains specialists in the field of fire safety under the programs of higher and secondary vocational education.
The Institute gathered within its walls highly qualified specialists-teachers with extensive experience in both practical and teaching activities.
Graduates serve in 43 regions of Russia. The Institute prepares specialists mainly for the Central, Southern and Volga-Ural regional centers and special fire protection authorities. Annually, the institute graduates on average 200 cadets, of which about 10% - with honors.
At the moment, the institute has a high-quality educational base, equipped classrooms, computer labs, a library, a sports hall, a stadium, sports equipment for practicing fire-applied sports, a training tower, a psychological training strip, a heat and gas chamber.
