How to make a slime in the easiest way. How to make a slime on your own for games at home

Do you know who ghostbusters are? If not, we highly recommend watching the cartoon of the same name, insanely popular in the mid-90s. Especially in this cartoon, the funny logo, the groovy melody of the introduction and two otherworldly heroes - the ghosts of Boogeyman and Lizun - were remembered. We will not touch the boogeyman today, but how to make a slime at home, let's try to figure it out.

The legendary animated series "Ghostbusters" was released in the mid-90s and immediately became wildly popular. At the same time, a stream of unpretentious toys, named after one of the heroes, the ugly, but kind and terribly charming Lizun ghost, poured onto Russian counters. This green miracle ate everything and everywhere left a liquid slippery trail, into which everyone around was endlessly plunged into it.

The toy slime is very similar to the cartoon prototype, in fact it is a slime, a viscous lump with the properties of a Newtonian fluid, elastic, sticky and stretching. Firm "Mattel" started production of this toy back in 1976, but it gained massive popularity after the release of "Okhotnikov".

Slimes of that time were made from guar gum with the addition of borax powder (in chemical language - sodium tetraborate), mainly had green color and were absolutely safe for children. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about timely toys. The quality of their components raises big questions. Therefore, we propose to figure out how you can make a slime yourself at home.

Basic manufacturing methods

There are many elementary and not so much ways to make a slime on your own, at home. The choice of a recipe depends on imagination, the availability of free time and the available tools at hand.

Plasticine toy

To make a handgum from plasticine, we need the following materials:

  • plasticine - about 100 g, of any color;
  • - 1 pack;
  • cold and hot water;
  • plastic and metal cups.

The cooking method is quite simple.

  1. Dissolve gelatin in cold water, use a metal dish for this.
  2. After an hour, put the dishes on the stove to warm up to high temperature, but you do not need to bring to a boil.
  3. Meanwhile in a plastic cup pour hot water, put a piece of plasticine there and stir it thoroughly in water.
  4. Slowly pour gelatin into the resulting mixture, mix until smooth and refrigerate.
  5. We put it in the refrigerator, wait a couple of hours - and you can play!

Such a toy is safe and environmentally friendly, but it gets your hands dirty and does not “live” for long.

Starch slime

You can make a toy at home without plasticine. In this recipe, we need cornstarch - it will make the toy more pleasant and elastic. But if you don't have corn, you can also use potatoes. The recipe is pretty simple.

The following ingredients are required:

  • starch;
  • water;
  • food coloring... You can show your imagination - sparkles and even small rhinestones will make the toy just cosmic.

Combine starch and water in equal proportions, place in the refrigerator, and in a couple of hours your slime is ready! When cooking, you can add a drop of perfume or essential oil - the toy will smell delicious. And if you add a little phosphoric paint, the toy can glow in the dark.

The advantages of this method are simplicity, environmental friendliness and the ability to show imagination. Disadvantages - again, a very short shelf life, only about a week.

Shampoo and glue handgum

This method is already more complicated, but the slime also turns out to be more similar to its store relative.

We will need:

  • shampoo without addition - 3 tablespoons (50 ml);
  • polymer glue - 3 tablespoons (50 ml);
  • food coloring, sequins, sequins, rhinestones - optional;
  • plastic container.

The cooking method is as follows.

  1. Pour shampoo into a container, add dye and glitter, mix thoroughly.
  2. Pour in the glue slowly, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Store the resulting toy in a dark, dry, cool place.

Instead of polymer glue, you can use PVA, but such a toy stretches worse and sticks strongly to your hands.

Slime from PVA, water and sodium tetraborate

If the previous toys can be made at home with the child, then in this method it is better to refuse the child's presence.

Components:

  • sodium tetraborate (borax solution) - 1/3 teaspoon. Try to get a solution of borax in glycerin;
  • PVA glue, better in a bottle, 1 pc. Can be replaced with transparent stationery;
  • cold water - 200 ml;
  • food coloring, glitter, etc.

Manufacturing takes place according to the standard scheme.

  1. Mix glue and water in a plastic container, stir thoroughly.
  2. Add dyes.
  3. Add sodium tetraborate slowly and gently. The more borax, the thicker the slime is.

When making a slime in this way, be sure to use protective equipment: gloves, an apron, unnecessary clothing. You need to store the finished toy in a closed container, without air and light. Sodium tetraborate has a big plus - by its nature, it is an antiseptic.

Soda slime

Another way to make a toy yourself from simple improvised means.

In this recipe we need:

  • soda - 1 tablespoon;
  • PVA glue - 100 or 200 ml;
  • Cup cold water;
  • food colors, rhinestones, sparkles, etc .;
  • plastic dishes.

The stages of "production" are as follows.

  1. Dissolve soda in water (1 tbsp.spoon for 1/2 cup).
  2. Mix the glue with the dye until a uniform color.
  3. Pour soda into the resulting mass.
  4. Mix thoroughly.

We store the toy in the same way as in the previous method - in a dark, dry place.

Liquid laundry detergent toy

This recipe requires liquid laundry detergent - dry matter or dishwashing detergent will not work.

Ingredients:

  • liquid washing powder - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • PVA glue - 1/3 tube;
  • dye;
  • plastic dishes.

We mix PVA glue with a dye to obtain a uniform color mass. Pour in the liquid detergent slowly drop by drop until the desired consistency is obtained. Knead for 5-10 minutes (with gloves!). Store in a sealed container.

Slime from sodium tetraborate and alcohol

This recipe also uses sodium tetraborate, but without PVA glue.

We will need:

  • sodium tetraborate (dry borax) - 2 tbsp. spoons (sold at the pharmacy);
  • a glass of cold water;
  • polyvinyl alcohol in powder form (ask at the Antimelitel hardware store or hardware store);
  • metal (not plastic!) dishes;
  • dye.

The manufacturing steps are as follows.

  1. Dissolve alcohol in a glass of water.
  2. Place the dishes with this solution on the stove and heat slowly, stirring occasionally. Heating time is approximately 40 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, let the solution cool to room temperature.
  4. Add borax, stir.
  5. Add dye.

Handgum according to this recipe will turn out to be elastic, not disgustingly sticky and very similar to the store one.

If you make a toy in any of the above ways and add pieces of metal to it, you get an amazing magnetic slime.

In order not to crush an iron part with a file, try to find iron oxide in the store, or order a special powder developer in the stores of accessories for office equipment.

By mixing the powder with metal particles, we get an unusual magnetic slime that changes shape under the influence of a magnet. And if you add phosphoric paint to the toy, the slime will glow in the dark.

Other recipes

The manufacturing technology of toys in all recipes is approximately the same.

We have considered the most popular and affordable examples of how to make a slime at home.

In addition to the above, there are methods of making toys from soda without the use of glue - from flour and "Fairy".

How to make a slime from "Fairy"?

  • "Fairy" or other dishwashing detergent;
  • soda;
  • moisturizing hand cream;
  • dyes.

Mix half a tablespoon detergent with a teaspoon of soda, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained, add hand cream and dye. Place the resulting mass to cool for 3-4 hours.

  1. If in the process of making slimes it does not work out, do not be discouraged. Experiment with the ingredients. Add more binder to increase the viscosity, and water to thin.
  2. Wear gloves.
  3. If your child is still small, do not leave him unattended with a toy - children pull everything into their mouths, and the slime is very attractive in this regard.
  4. Try to persuade the child not to throw the toy into the papered walls, if you are not going to make repairs in the near future.
  5. If the toy is dry, it doesn't matter, it can be reanimated for a while by moistening it with water.

How to store slime?

A toy made with your own hands at home, unfortunately, is short-lived. Proper storage will prolong the life of your favorite entertainment.

Store the slime in a closed container, preferably without air access. Ideal if the place is also dark and cool. The best place for storage - a refrigerator (but not a freezer).

Conclusion

In our time, bright, cheap and not so often unsafe toys have overflowed stores. Unfortunately, you won't be able to make a Barbie doll or a car on your own, and not every adult will be able to sew a teddy bear.

But to create an unpretentious, but fun toy on your own from improvised material is quite capable. Therefore, the question of how to make a slime yourself is quite relevant.

Show your imagination, experiment, put aside the children's electronic gadget and involve the child in the process - a lot of positive emotions are provided for you!

Mother of two children. I lead household for more than 7 years - this is my main job. I love to experiment, I constantly try various means, methods, techniques that can make our life easier, more modern, richer. I love my family.

Hello! I am in touch with you again, Tatiana Kashitsina. And we will talk with you about a very popular toy for children, which is not only fun, but also develops fine motor skills. But for adults, it acts as a kind of anti-stress. Guess what we're talking about? And we are talking about a slime, or as it is also called, sticky, bouncing, slime or handgam.

Our conversation will be simple and informative at the same time. We will learn how to make a licker at home. After all, it will be very cool to please our kids with handmade toys. Moreover, the costs will not be large, because every house has all the components.

Well, if you don't really like the idea with such a product, then cook and sculpt animals, which is also very useful and entertaining.

We'll start with the most common way that your slime will turn out 100%. True, I advise you to use only corn starch, not potato starch.

Well, what are you ready to create the favorite hero of many children from the movie "Ghostbusters" ?? Then let's get to work.

We need:

  • Corn starch - 1 tbsp.;
  • Warm water - 1 tbsp.;
  • PVA glue - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • Any dye;
  • Sequins are optional.

Manufacturing process:

1. Pour the starch powder into a bowl and add a quarter glass of water.

2. Boil the rest of the water and stir in the soaked starch. Next, boil our mixture for about a minute, stirring constantly.

3. Now take a tight bag and pour a third of the volume of liquid starch into it, then a couple of drops of dye, glue and glitter.

If you add a lot of glue, the slime will be sticky. And if you overdo it with starch, then it will fall apart.

How to make a toy from sodium tetraborate at home

Well, this is the so-called classic version of making a sticky toy. The method is very simple, but in terms of quality it is probably one of the best. After all, he sticks well, jumps and even washes.

And sodium tetraborate, which we will need, is available in all pharmacies and in the departments of radio goods. It is better to buy a ready-made 4% solution, or take a powder solution and dilute it yourself (1 tablespoon for half a glass of water).

We need:

  • PVA glue - 100 gr.;
  • Sodium tetraborate - bottle;
  • Choice of dyes - gouache, brilliant green, acrylic paints, food dyes;
  • Dishes with a size of more than half a liter;
  • Wooden stick - for stirring.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take the glue and pour it into a container.

2. Subsequently send any dye of your choice and stir.

3. Gradually add the tetraborate solution, stirring continuously.

4. The mixture should thicken, remove excess moisture with a napkin. Put our bouncy bouncy in a plastic bag and remember a little with your hands for about 3-5 minutes.

5. That's all, our toy is ready.

Shampoo and salt slime

This option is also not bad, and most importantly, almost harmless, but not everyone is able to make a toy from these funds. Well, try it, maybe you will succeed !!

Instead of shampoo, you can take any gel, but without scrubbing particles.

We need:

  • Shampoo - 3-4 tbsp. l .;
  • Salt - a little;
  • Dye - optional.

Manufacturing process:

Pour the shampoo into a deep container and add just a little salt, stir well. If you overdo it with salt, then handgams will fail. Well, if all the proportions are met, then you will see how the mass becomes thick and sticky.

This craft is very similar to sticky jelly and can also be fun to play with.

Video about how to make handgam without glue and sodium tetraborate

And now I suggest you see everything with your own eyes, if you doubt that you will not succeed. We will use liquid soap in this recipe.

DIY toothpaste lick

We need:

  • Clear toothpaste,
  • Glue Titanium powder,
  • Plastic bag.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take a sturdy bag and squeeze the paste into it, then add the powdered glue.

2. Fasten the bag or tie it well. Then shake the contents so that the components are mixed into a homogeneous mass.

Slime without glue and starch

Here is another great handgam, in my opinion. And if you do not add the dye yet, then it is safe, and you should not worry that the child can taste the toy or will fiddle with it for a long time in his hands.

We need:

  • Flour - 300 gr.;
  • Cold water - 1/4 st.;
  • Hot water - 1/4 st.;
  • Any dye - a couple of drops.

Manufacturing process:

1. Mix flour with cool and warm water.

2. Add any color dye.

3. Stir the mixture until smooth, then store in a cool place for three hours.

This is how easy and simple it is. A couple of minutes and you're done!

The easy way to make from shaving foam

Well, if you have shaving foam lying around, then you can make our anti-stress from it. I watched the video plot, and I say "Wow", such a huge slime turned out, stunned, I share with you:

And in conclusion, I want to give a couple of tips for caring for slimes:

  • It is better to treat toys with an alcohol solution, so they will last longer.
  • But it is not advised to dip into water.
  • To keep the shape, you need to inject alcohol into the inside with a syringe.
  • It is better to store them in a closed container, and after a week it is better to make a new Velcro.

That's it. Everything turned out shortly, briefly, but at the same time and in detail. I think now you definitely want to make a slime yourself, and you will not buy it. For me, it's easier than toys to come up with.

Hello! In this article I will write several ways how you can make a famous and beloved slime at home. This toy was very popular in my childhood, because it was in the 90s that the cartoon and the film "Ghostbusters" were shown. In this cartoon there was a slime ghost, which became the prototype of the famous toy. She could stick to the wall, table, quickly change its shape.

You can also make a similar toy yourself. This is an interesting activity for children (they love all kinds of experiences) and adults will enjoy the process of creation too. So, here are some of the best ways.

According to this recipe, I made slime with my daughter yesterday. The process is very fast, it takes a couple of minutes. First you need to stock up on the necessary ingredients. It turns out according to this recipe a substance similar to "smart plasticine". For him you will need:

  • PVA glue - 100 ml
  • 4% sodium tetraborate (boron) solution - a few drops
  • food coloring (or brilliant green, or gouache)
  • plastic container
  • wooden stick (pencil or spatula)

From these proportions, a fairly large slime is obtained. If you need a small one, reduce the amount. Multiple slimes can be made different colors, so the children will be much more interesting.

I did it in a jar of gouache. You can take any plastic jar or container. First, pour PVA glue, add any dye that you have in stock to it. I took orange food coloring (I still have it since Easter). You can also paint with brilliant green or gouache. Mix the glue and paint thoroughly with a pencil until the color is uniform.

Then pour in sodium tetraborate and mix well. If the tetraborate is not enough, then add it little by little. The glue should thicken. The mass will begin to peel off from the pencil and jar. After that, you can take it with your hands and knead it. It relieves stress in adults well, slowly spreads on the table into a small smooth puddle.

I just didn't like the fact that such a slime (or clever plasticine, slime or handgum, which translates as chewing gum for hands) paints the hands and the table. I think it will be better with gouache. And he also has a not very pleasant smell of glue. If you wish, you can add fragrances to it, if there are any in the house.

The price of such a slime is small. I bought the glue for 35 rubles, sodium tetraborate is sold in any pharmacy without a prescription for 19 rubles, the dye cost me 5 rubles. Total - 59 rubles. But I used glue for one slime about a sixth of the jar, less than a third of tetraborate.

It is important that the glue is fresh, homogeneous, without water. You won't get anything out of bad glue. You need to store the mass in a closed jar so that it does not dry out.

Here's what I got (video):

Slime without sodium tetraborate

You can make a slime, very similar to the previous one, only use liquid detergent instead of sodium tetraborate. It is a washing powder in a gel, not a fabric softener and other gels.

Look at the view how the creation process takes place:

We make a slime from plasticine and gelatin

This method is popular and has good feedback... They write that it turns out a good slime. But such a toy is short-lived. Suitable for small children to develop fine motor skills of hands. You will need:

  • plasticine (color optional) - 50 gr.
  • gelatin - 25 gr.
  • warm water - 30 ml
  • plastic container for mixing ingredients
  • a metal container for heating gelatin (can be in plastic or ceramics, if you use a microwave)
  • wooden stirring stick

Initially in metal container pour the gelatin with cold water so that the water covers it. Leave it on for 20 minutes to swell the powder. After that, it is necessary to warm up the mass so that it completely dissolves. This can be done in a water bath or in the microwave. In the second case, heat the gelatin for about 2 minutes.

IN plastic container pour plasticine with warm water, stir with a wooden stick until smooth. Add the cooled gelatin to the plasticine and mix everything thoroughly again. Then put our slime in the refrigerator to freeze. When it hardens, it’s ready! Store the finished toy also in the refrigerator in a closed container.

How to make slime from starch and PVA glue

This is also an easy way, like the first with the second. The difference is that as a thickener is taken liquid starch(not boron or liquid powder). Required components:

  • PVA glue - 100 ml.
  • liquid starch (this is not food starch, but chemical agent for washing). You can take food, but the result will be worse with it. If you take food starch, you will need to mix it with water - 140 ml
  • dye (brilliant green, gouache, food)
  • plastic bag

They write that it is according to this recipe that the slime will turn out, like in a store. To make such a slime, you need to pour starch into a small bag, add paint and glue to it.

Mix everything thoroughly with your hands until smooth through polyethylene. After that, the mass must be given time to freeze in the refrigerator (about 3 hours). That's it, the toy is ready, you can play!

If after mixing remains excess fluid, it needs to be drained.

Other slime options at home

There are many more different options... But they do not guarantee a good result. Most of those who made according to other recipes write that nothing happened. For example, slime is made with baking soda. Only in this case, a very solid substance is obtained, which in no way can be called lizun, handgam, etc. Crumple it will not work in any way. So you better not waste your time crafting such a creature.

There is also a method for making a slime from Titan shampoo and glue. But slime using this method, most likely, will not work. It will spread, stick to your hands.

There is also a way to make a toy using polyvinyl alcohol instead of glue. But this method is quite troublesome. First, you need to find this very alcohol in powder, dilute it correctly with water. And then cook for 35 minutes. I think not everyone wants to bother like that when there are ways that are more affordable and faster.

In some sources I found a recipe for making slime from flour, water and dye. But everyone knows that by mixing flour with water, you get dough. This dough can be sculpted, it is safe for babies, good for fine motor skills, but it is not a slime. I make this colored modeling dough for my children because it is softer than plasticine.

  1. Store the slime in a closed jar with a tight lid. Otherwise it will dry out.
  2. Do not store the toy in warm places. Moreover, do not put on the battery, in the sun.
  3. Do not place the handgum on a fluffy surface. Because of this, hairs will stick to it, it will lose its structure and smoothness.
  4. You can add flavorings during cooking or essential oils to counteract the smell of glue and other ingredients.
  5. You can experiment with the composition of the mixture. You can add two drops of vinegar to the mixture with paint - the slime will stretch better. If you add a little hydrogen peroxide, the mass will turn out to be more airy, not sticky. If you add glycerin, then the "crumb" will become slippery.

If you know others good ways how to make another slime at home, write in the comments! And share the article with your friends on social media. networks. See you!

Slime (Slime) is a toy that you don't want to let go of. The jelly-like mucus-like material helps not only the development of fine motor skills in children, but also the fight against stress in adults. The slime was originally made by Matte from guar gum and borax. Over time, the recipe for making slime has expanded: some components have been replaced by others, making it the most affordable.

Making anti-stress jelly is a creative and fun process. It doesn't take long and doesn't require a lot of ingredients. Observing all the rules, the creation of a slime will not take more than 5 minutes.

    Show all

    The easiest way to make slime # 1

    You can make a jelly-like toy using baking soda and dishwashing liquid. These ingredients are easy to find in every home. But when working with them, you must remember that children need to play with such a slime only in the presence of adults.

    • baking soda;
    • dish detergent;
    • water;
    • food coloring or paint (preferably gouache).

    Cooking method:

    1. 1. Pour the detergent into a glass bowl. The dosage is arbitrary. As the remaining ingredients are added, it will be possible to focus on the resulting consistency, diluting the future slime with water or dishwashing detergent.
    2. 2. It is necessary to add to the detergent baking soda and mix everything thoroughly. If the mixture turns out to be thick, then it can be liquefied with other components until the required consistency is obtained.
    3. 3. When the slime is ready, to give bright color you can add dye or gouache to it and mix well again until fully cooked.

    A jelly-like toy can also be made from regular toothpaste.

    The easiest way to make slime # 2

    Shampoo and shower gel are only 2 components that are needed to make a slime.

    You need to store such a slime when low temperatures, therefore, after the games, it is necessary to put it into a container and place it in the refrigerator. Expiration date - 30 days.

    Cooking method:

    1. 1. To make a slime toy, you need to mix two components in equal proportions in a container. It is worth paying attention to the fact that granules and other additives should not be contained in either the gel or shampoo. Otherwise, the slime will not be transparent.
    2. 2. All ingredients must be thoroughly mixed, then sent to cool and reach the desired consistency in the refrigerator. After 12-20 hours, the jelly slime will be ready for use.

    You can make slime not only from dish detergent, but also from powder. The manufacturing method can be seen in the video.

    The easiest way to make slime # 3

    Slime can also be made with safe ingredients based on regular baking flour. Even small children can play with the flour jelly toy.

    Cooking materials:

    • baking flour;
    • cold water;
    • hot water;
    • food colors or natural colors (beet juice, carrot juice, etc.).

    Cooking method:

    1. 1. Pour 300-400 grams of pre-sifted flour into a small container.
    2. 2. Pour 50 ml of cold water into the flour, then add 50 ml of warm water. Do not pour very hot water. After boiling water, you must give it time to cool down a little.
    3. 3. All ingredients must be mixed well to get a homogeneous mass without lumps. After that, you can add a little dye to the resulting mixture, mix everything well, and send the resulting sticky consistency to the refrigerator for 5-6 hours.
    4. 4. After the expiration of time, you can get flour slime from refrigerating chamber and let the children play.

    Slime can also be made from salt and shampoo. An easy way of cooking can be seen in the video.

    The easiest way to make slime # 4

    You can easily make an anti-stress toy from PVA glue and sodium tetraborate powder or solution. This method of manufacturing is the most popular, since the slime prepared according to this recipe is very similar to the store version.

    Cooking materials:

Last weekend, my sister asked how to make slime without sodium tetraborate - she wanted to do an extraordinary photo shoot for Instagram, and so I urgently had to look for a slime recipe. What can I say? Do-it-yourself slime is done quite quickly, there are many ways, there are pros and cons, I will tell you about everything in order.

This is the best question I had to answer that weekend. Because my social circle is not very familiar with insta trends. All in all, slime is a fun sticky mass that has some of the properties of non-Newtonian fluids. This is an elastic toy, sticky, which can spread out in a soft puddle and gather into an elastic ball. This toy is also called Handgum, Slime or Silly Putty.

A great way to keep children busy is to watch this thing really cool and interesting, it is pleasant to play with it for both adults and kids. I can also say that such a toy will help children develop the concept of non-Newtonian fluid and improve fine motor skills, and for adults, handgam can be used as an anti-stress.

You can make licks the most different ways, I will tell you about everyone that I managed to find out.

Starch based

How to make slime from water and starch? The method is pretty simple. Required:

  1. 1 tbsp. cornstarch (not worth replacing with potato);
  2. 1 tbsp. warm water;
  3. 1 tbsp PVA glue;
  4. dye (we used ordinary dyes - my mother had them in store for Easter, and I buy dyes for handmade soap);
  5. you can also add sequins or broths (festive or those used for manicure are suitable).

First, liquid starch is made - pour the entire glass of starch powder into a bowl and add a quarter glass of water. Boil the remaining water, mix the soaked starch into the water, boil everything for about a minute, stirring continuously. This amount is enough for three licks. Then we take a tight bag, pour in a third of the volume of liquid starch, drip a dye (do not pour too much, the dyes are well concentrated), and then you need to pour in glue and glitter.

After that, the bag is tied up and kneaded thoroughly - you should get a mass in the form of a sticky compote and a little slurry. We drain the liquid, blot the licker several times with a napkin. Your handgam can be used.

Could starch slime not turn out? Oh, in fact, everything can not work. This is the first anti-stress slime that my sister and I did, and we did it, but when I decided to repeat this experience, it didn’t work for me. Of course, I immediately began to wonder on the forums how to make a slime out of starch and why it didn't work out for me.

And it turned out that if add too much glue (or it is some kind of very high quality and good), then the slime will be sticky. And if there is too much starch, then it will fall apart.

Especially for kids

Young mothers are eager to figure out how to make slime without glue and sodium tetraborate. In general, why do many people want to do different things with their own hands at home? The bottom line is that a child who plays with a handgam can accidentally put a mass in his mouth and slobber, or just hold it in his hands for a long time, so naturally no one wants the child to be damaged by glue or tetraborate solution. It is much easier to build a slime from detergent, or from soap and salt in a couple of minutes.

How to make slime from flour?

  • So, you need to mix flour with cool and heated water.
  • The mixture is mixed (you will need about 300 grams of flour, 1/4 cup of cold water and the same amount of hot).
  • For a beautiful shade, take a dye or ordinary gouache, watercolor.
  • It turns out very interesting if you make two lumps of different colors, and then crush them together.
  • As soon as the mixture is homogeneous in consistency, it is removed in a cool place for three hours.

This is a simple slime that even a child can safely play with.

Shaving foam

How to make a shaving foam slime? Basically, shaving foam slime is easy - you need a tube of glue and some shaving foam.

It is difficult to predict the exact amount, so we do this - put 100-200 g of glue (the whole bottle) in a plate, and then inject the foam into the eye and begin to knead. It is necessary to add foam, achieving the consistency you need.

In general, a shaving foam slime can be pure white (the color is dense and beautiful), or you can drop a couple of milliliters of dye. By the way, you can drop several different droplets, then you get a marble handgum.

Watch a fascinating video on how to make such a lick:

Shampoo and salt

We also learned how to make a slime from shampoo and salt. You need to take any shampoo (we took Dad's transparent blue shampoo) - you need 3-4 tablespoons. And then you need to pour salt into the shampoo and stir well. You will see how gradually the liquid mass becomes thicker and stops being so sticky.

We didn't like this option too much, it's more like sticky jelly, and not like a standard regular handgum, but it's also a very interesting thing, it will be fun to play with.

Shampoo and starch

How to make a slime from shampoo and water with starch:

First, make liquid starch (I wrote above how to make it right - corn starch with water), and then you need to add shampoo and mix well. The mass must be kept in the refrigerator.

Soda

If you need to make handgum for adults, then I advise you to watch a video on how to make a slime from soda. However, it should be borne in mind that it is better not to give this mass to babies, and after fun, you should wash your hands.

Soap and glue

Another recipe is how to make a slime from liquid soap. Again, nothing complicated. Go to a hardware store and buy polymer glue - well, for example, "Titan". Then mix three parts of glue and two parts of liquid soap. If you take a colored transparent soap, then the slime will turn out to be transparent.

By the way, there is another cool recipe for making a slime from soap - just add soda and salt to it by eye and mix well, and then keep the mixture in the refrigerator.

Toothpaste

An easy way to make a toothpaste slime is to mix a small tube of glue and a pack of gel toothpaste. Then you need to mix the mixture well and cool in the refrigerator for about half an hour. I must say right away that toothpaste slime smells very strongly of toothpaste, so it is best to add a couple of drops of perfume composition to the mixture or regular essential oil.

Another interesting slime from toothpaste is obtained using polymer glue - if you beat the mixture well, then there will even be air bubbles in it (it looks very nice in the photo and video). The ratio is this - for 100 grams of toothpaste you need 40 grams of glue (the same "Titan" will do).

How to make a toothpaste slime without glue? You can experiment with sodium tetraborate - add a few drops of tetraborate to the mixture of toothpaste, salt and shampoo, and then mix well and cool.

By the way, while I was googling the recipes, I saw that many people ask about how to make a slime out of paper. The simplest knowledge of chemistry tells me that there is no way. However, you can make handgums with paper glitter or confetti.

To make the soap slime stretch better, add vinegar to the mixture, and add a little glycerin to make it smooth.

So that the pva glue slime does not dry out for a long time, store it in a jar or in a tight bag.

You can also make a slime from plasticine and gelatin. In my opinion, this is the best slime without glue and tetraborate. By the way, without sodium tetraborate, you can make slime from soap and salt - just mix liquid soap with salt.

How to care for slime

In general, the easiest way to care for a slime is to wash it regularly, and make a new one after a week. Well, in fact, any handgam made for children is enough for a week (even if the recipe says that for a month). Borax begins to erode, the components of the detergent begin to disintegrate into components. And even a child can make a new slime - the main thing is to pick up an easy recipe (almost any of those that I have listed) and make sure that the baby does not pour soap into his eyes and does not taste the glue. Make beautiful and colorful licks, play with them and try new recipes!

Now you know how to make slime at home without sodium tetraborate and you can tell your friends how to make slime at home.
