Before you splurge on another toy for your child, think about how, with a little effort, you can create your own unique toy. In this article, we will tell you how to easily make soft toys from old socks, which will surely delight your child if you like to work with your own hands.

This fascinating process does not take much time, besides, to create a toy it is not at all necessary to buy expensive materials, you can easily find all the available tools in your home. Involve your child in this interesting activity, and you will get a lot of positive emotions, and the child will find such a process a serious and responsible task, which in the future will have a positive effect on his creative development.

We select the necessary materials for work

To make toys from socks you will need:

  • Any unnecessary socks, but always whole, without holes and scuffs, otherwise the toy will not look very neat;
  • filler, for example, synthetic winterizer or cotton wool;
  • scissors;
  • needle with thread;
  • various decorations - ribbons, bows, buttons for the eyes (you can buy special eyes in a needlework store), in a word, everything that has enough imagination;
  • fabric glue;
  • marker.

Do-it-yourself soft bear from a sock for a child

For clarity, we will hold a master class on making a sock bear. To begin with, take a sock and turn it inside out, sketch out the body parts of the future toy with a marker. Cut off pieces of fabric along the indicated lines and do not forget to cut off the tip of the sock (on the future head of the bear), so that later to stuff a synthetic winterizer into this hole. Based on the manufacturing diagram below, you can see how to properly mark the sock.

Thus, we cut out the torso with hind legs, head and front legs.

Important! Do not forget to leave a hole in the neck area and at the base of the front legs for further stuffing.

The next step is to turn the stitched parts into front side and fill the toy with filler. After you fill the workpiece tightly, you will need to carefully sew up the holes.

The seams must be strong, because the child will constantly interact with the toy.

Let's start creating the face. Take a second sock, or find a small piece of suitable fabric and cut out an oval - this will be the face of a bear. Then carefully sew it to your head.

Beads or buttons are suitable for the eyes, as well as, as mentioned earlier, special eyes from the store. For the spout, you can use a couple of buttons different colors sewn on top of each other.

The finished bear can be decorated in any way. For example, if you are sewing for a girl, bows, hearts and flowers will be appropriate on the toy.

A boy will like a teddy bear in a cap, bow tie, you can dress him in a jacket, again made by yourself.

The result is such a charming bear.

Cute plush kitten in minutes

To create this toy, we use the same materials that were used to make the teddy bear.

Let's consider step by step how to make a kitten out of a sock.

First, take one sock and make two cuts on both sides, after cutting off the elastic.

Then you need to turn the product inside out and stitch the edges of the cut, leaving only the holes unsewn from the end, where the elastic of the sock was.

Please note that these holes are useful for turning the workpiece inside out and filling it further.

Turn the product right out. Already at this stage, the body of the future kitten appears.

Fill the workpiece with padding polyester or cotton wool and sew up the holes.

Next, take a second sock and cut out a pattern for the kitten's head. To do this, cut off the elastic of the sock, and cut a triangle on the other side of the heel. Thus, the muzzle will be the heel, and the ears will be the triangles.

Turning the part inside out, sew the ears along the edge of the cut.

Turn the workpiece back out again, fill it with padding polyester and sew up the hole.

Nowadays it has become fashionable to make gifts on your own. As the popular saying goes: "The best gift is a handmade one." Consider how to make toys with your own hands, because this is a great gift for children and not only. Such products turn out to be very touching and cute, and they require a minimum of time and material costs. Even your child can make a sock craft for his friends. In addition, such work develops imagination, creative thinking and fine motor skills. Attention to the video:

DIY sock toys: teddy bear

To begin with, we will prepare everything we need - bright socks, filler (synthetic winterizer), needles, threads, scissors, buttons for eyes, pins, beads and decorations for toys. Let's start a master class with toys made of socks.

Procedure

You need to turn the sock inside out and mark it with a marker according to the diagram that you will see below. Cut along the lines with scissors to form the base of the torso. When you cut out the head, make sure to make a small hole from the bottom of the head, which will serve as the end of the sock. This will be the neck. Through it you can fill a bear with padding polyester. Cut out the rest of the pieces, you should get 4 pieces - the torso with the hind legs, the front legs and the head.

Consider before you start sewing a toy from socks manufacturing schemes:

Now you need to sew a toy from a sock. We sew all the details from the seamy side. We leave only the neck and the base of the front paws without seams for stuffing.

Turn out the workpiece and fill with padding polyester. Sew the packing holes neatly with a blind stitch. Sew on all its limbs to the bear and check the strength of the seams, after all, you are making a toy for a child.

From the second sock, you need to cut an oval slightly smaller than the diameter of the bear's head, this will be its muzzle. Attach this piece to the head with a needle and then sew it neatly. Tighten the seam well from the inside.

Now let's start finishing our bear. Soft toys made of socks turn out to be unusually cute if you use buttons instead of eyes, rather than beads. When sewing on the nose, you can use two buttons - a larger black and a smaller white. Eyes can be made with buttons of the same colors, but with the opposite proportion of sizes.

It's time to sew all the limbs on the toy and secure them carefully. The toy is ready. If you are making a gift for a girl, you can sew a bow on the bear or put on beads, and if for a boy, a cap, hat or bow tie will do. Now you know how to make a toy out of a sock with your own hands.

In the same way, you can make a bunny, cat, doll, etc. Show a little imagination or watch a video with master classes and give gifts with joy.

If you notice that ice is freezing on the walls of the chamber or the coating of the thermal insulation is broken, it is likely that the reason is that the wall of the refrigerator is cracked. To refrigeration technology served as long as possible, it is important to follow the rules of operation, pay attention to the slightest signs of malfunction. We will tell you how to detect and eliminate such a malfunction.

For the normal operation of the refrigerator and the safety of food, the complete tightness of the chamber is important, therefore the compartment door is equipped with a rubber seal and closely adheres to the body. If warm air enters the chamber, you may notice:

  1. The motor-compressor runs without stopping. The fact is that the thermal sensor sends signals to the module about the temperature rise in the compartment. Therefore, the main module makes the motor run to compensate for the temperature. And since the flow of warm air does not stop due to damage, the compressor works without stopping.
  2. Inside, on the back wall, build-ups of snow and ice are visible - perhaps the insulation of the chamber has been broken. This happens when the door does not fit tightly, so a re-hanging or replacement of the seal is needed.

What are the reasons for plastic cracking on the walls of the refrigerator? If you recently transported equipment, the crack may have formed as a result of an impact or fall. Therefore, it is important to properly secure the refrigerator during transport.

A common cause of puncture and damage to the chamber wall is the user's "help" during defrosting. If you tried to break off the ice with a foreign object, it could result in a puncture.

It also happens that the back wall freezes from the outside. This means that the insulation is damaged and leads to moisture ingress and frostbite. Urgent repairs needed.

To repair the damage to the outer layer of insulation yourself, proceed as follows:

  • disconnect the refrigerator from the network;
  • remove the wet part of the insulating layer with a sharp knife;
  • put in place normal insulation or use polyurethane foam;
  • after the foam has set, attach the metal foil on top.

If a crack has formed on the inner wall, you can glue it like this:

  • disable and unfreeze equipment;
  • dry the chamber and degrease the area where the crack is;
  • apply silicone sealant evenly;
  • let the sealant dry and connect the refrigerator.

The plastic could crack as a result of a factory defect when the nuts are overtightened. In this case, you need to contact the store where the equipment was bought.

Plastic shelves can also crack - most often as a result of overloading. You can use super-resistant glue to fix a cracked, heavy-duty plastic fridge shelf. To do this, with back side a shallow groove (2-3 mm) is made with a cutter so that the glue can be poured.

After you have made the indentation, use a sharp knife to grind the surface to remove the burrs. Then apply a layer of super glue and sprinkle with baking soda.

Using a match, rub in the baking soda so that it reacts with the glue, remove its remnants and reapply the glue. The procedure is repeated several times until the groove is filled with glue. Thus, the bonding area is increased, so the crack will not go further.

Now you know how to properly deal with a crack in your refrigerator. It is necessary to act immediately so that the damage does not go further along the surface of the wall or shelf. Watch the video
