I am pleased to announce to you the beginning of a series of articles devoted entirely to Mouse tanku (Maus tank). In general, in the future I plan to write a number of articles on each of the most significant, weighty and decisive tanks in the game, and Mouse will be a pioneer in this, I give him the green light and the key to start. Articles for each tank will contain: historical information, penetration zones in the game, photos and screenshots, comparison with similar tanks.

A bit of history

Maus tank he is Mouse Tank or, as the players called it - Mouse was designed in the Third Reich between 42 and 45 (thanks for the info on wikipedia). Alternative names of the tank - Panzerkampfwagen "Maus", as well as Porsche 205... The limiting mass of the tank was almost 192 tons!

It is worth noting that only two were released Mouse tank and both were blown up by the crews on the approach Soviet troops to the Reich Chancellery, which they guarded. Never hitting the front line because of its size and not having time to make a single shot, Mouse tank perhaps has one of the most unfortunate destinies in the course of the war.

Later it was possible to restore a copy Mouse, which in the singular is kept in the armored museum in Kubinka.

What we saw in the table and what can be said about Mouse? It is undoubtedly a heavy and well-armored tank, but it is very slow and the gun is slightly inferior to its competitors in terms of rate of fire and penetration. But then again, its sluggishness is offset by its excellent armor.

Mouse Penetration Zones

In the screenshots provided Mouse tank the main penetration zones are shown. It seems that everything is clear, it is necessary to beat at the most vulnerable places. But where are they? First, never try to shoot a mouse in the forehead. In this case, the shells ricochet away from him, as if the fire is being fired from a crossbow. But if you aim a little lower, in the area under the large armor plates in the middle, as shown in the screenshot, you may be successful.

The second obvious zone of penetration of Mouse is his ass. Obviously, since the armor in this place is weaker than in other zones, but even the ass Mouse armored better than the forehead IP and and T30... You need to shoot not all over the ass, but exactly in the place that you see in the picture.

Meet - this is a mouse point, a very vulnerable spot. In this anus of the mouse, I even punched with the T-34-85. Slowly, of course, but surely and confidently, with each hit, he took away a ridiculous amount of hp. The catch is that on the move you can only get here by accident, so it's better to immobilize Mouse somehow and always act in conjunction with the comrades. You can't handle it alone.

The German heavy tank Mouse is a unique combat unit. In total, several models were released, and only for demonstration. The reason for this was its weight of 188 tons, which would be an absolute record even in our time. It would seem that with such an indicator, there are no places in the equipment of equipment where it would be possible to pierce the "Mouse" without difficulty, but they do exist. Low mobility became a huge disadvantage of the tank. Even with ideal conditions terrain, the car could only develop 21 km / h. Its transportation to the battlefield would take an incredible amount of time, and therefore it was decided not to continue production of the combat unit.

The main indicators of the tank

As already mentioned above, the technician could not boast of speed at all. The designers focused on armor and firepower.

To understand where to punch the "Mouse", you must first study its construction in detail. The roof and bottom have heavy 50mm armor plates. It was already difficult to get to this place, and now it will not be easy even for Soviet landmines to make a breach there. The upper armor plate is 200 mm thick. Part of the armor above the tracks is 180 mm. The lower part of the case is even better protected. Here are installed lower screens with a thickness of 100 mm, further 80 mm of the body, as well as a chassis and tracks. It is definitely not recommended to shoot there. The Mouse turret has 220mm die-cast armor in the middle and on both sides of the cannons. All characteristics correspond to real parameters, hence the huge weight of the tank. As for the combat power, there is a 128 mm cannon with a reload time of just over 19 seconds.

The main methods of breaking through the "Mouse"

There are several most likely places where the Mouse will be convenient for most heavy tanks. Let's take a look at the tower first. If you load the cannons into the area with an accurate shot, then the chance of penetration will be about 75%. This is despite the fact that the cannon will stand at an acute angle to you, otherwise it will ricochet. The roof is equipped with only 50mm armor, which means it will be an excellent target from a height. Practice shows that there are few real situations when it is possible to penetrate this military equipment into the tower, but the probability of this is worth remembering. Some players shoot at the front of the car without knowing where to punch the Mouse head-on. There is a chance of critical damage if you hit the place where the front and side parts meet. There, the thickness of the armor is lower, but it is quite difficult to get into it even with the maximum reduction. If you use high-explosive large-caliber projectiles, then there will be no problems in penetrating. The main thing is not to aim at the lower screens, where it is impossible to even calculate the defense. The third most likely place to punch the Mouse is in the caterpillar tracks. A simple hit will not give a result, because an experienced player immediately takes such a position that it would be convenient for him to shoot. You need to hit the sheet above it, then the damage to the enemy will be significant.

Other possibilities

In fact, in order to understand well where to punch the "Mouse", it is worth considering its position. It is especially important whether it is above or below the level. Then it is worth shooting only at the roof or bottom, and even better at the hatches of the commander and driver. For example, you don't know where to punch the Mouse on the E100 when you play with this German tier 10 tank. Then just assess the situation and the possibilities, wait for the most advantageous position and shoot one by one at the weak points that are mentioned above.

Sometimes a good solution is to lean on his side and shoot above the harp. While Mouse turns, E100 will be able to fire 3-4 shots. The damage will be quite a lot. With other heavy tanks, the procedure is the same. It is better not even for light and even medium combat units to fight against such an enemy. In the end, he just manages to pick a position and smash you.

Maus. Reservation schemes or how to punch Mausa.

Maus is a tier 10 heavy tank, one of the most armored tanks in the game. Today we'll talk about how to break it.
Firstly, if you are on a tank less than level 8, and Maus is coming at you - U .... leave.
Your modest weapon can do nothing to help you destroy it, except if it turns its back to you (160mm of armor) and you aim an interesting round pimple on the turret (100mm of armor) or if you get lucky with FBG and you will pierce the hull sides with 185mm of armor.

NBL at Mouse 200mm, is taken by some tanks from lvl 8 and above, but an important fact, it is at a slight angle, and there are not always penetrations.
It makes no sense to shoot at the tower if you do not have a 120mm gun, if you have one, you can try your luck, because the tower is also at a slight angle, and it is better to shoot just below or slightly above the center line of the gun on the tower, at the so-called cheeks.

Maus, how terrible this enemy is: the strengths and weaknesses of the hull. This monster is so strong and covered with armor that not everyone will guess where to shoot, and many even get lost when faced with it. A tank with its strengths and weaknesses

Weaknesses of the tank:

  • Well-covered sides with screens.

Where to shoot to penetrate the tank

Forehead

The Maus is unquestionably one of the most armored tanks in the front. Even if you compare it with the E-100 or IS-7, it will be much easier to pierce them, the mouse can only be compared with some tank destroyer, T95 or T110E3. In no case is it recommended to ride this monster head-on, it is better to go around it as far as possible from behind. But if you have nowhere to go and you have to take the fight head-on, then in this situation it is better to stay cool and take precise and calm actions.

The Mouse has only a couple of weak points in front, you should not shoot at observation devices, since the damage will be insignificant, and it is more difficult to hit them, only the lower frontal shield or "cheeks", which are on the tower, remain.

It is better for vehicles that, apart from NZ, do not have normal weapons, it is better to open supplies and shoot gold, otherwise you will have to set your tail between your legs and try to hide somewhere quickly, otherwise you have no chance. It is best to shoot in the cheeks, as the angle of the armor is suitable and their shape is semicircular.

Consider shooting the lower frontal shield. The thickness of the armor is 200 millimeters, since it is located at an angle of 35 degrees, the thickness increases to somewhere around 250 millimeters. And if you take into account that the shooting is not carried out at a right angle, and the barrel of your tank is much higher, thus the angle increases even more. In this case, the armor will already be about 400 millimeters. With this thickness, not every machine can boast of this penetration.

If we consider the cheeks, then there is a different situation: the thickness of the armor is 240 millimeters, but if we consider that you choose the angle yourself, then this thickness will practically not change and you can gradually inflict damage.

Tanks with powerful weapons already have good penetration, and in the presence of gold, the armor becomes quite penetrable.

Going one-on-one with the Mouse is very dangerous and everything will depend on how high your tower is, whether there are any vulnerable spots on it. If, for example, you drive the IS-7, then it will be problematic for Maus to penetrate the ISov protected tower, but at this time you can safely shoot on the cheeks. Although in the same situation T110E5 will be much more vulnerable, as it will be under fire by his "bump", which the Mouse will overcome without any difficulties.

Most importantly, do not forget about the large weight of this monster, while going around it, try not to hook it, otherwise it can only take from you from 100 to 320 damage with a small ram.

Board

It will not be difficult to pierce the "Mouse" on the sides, even tanks of 7-8 levels can do it. Here you can already choose which module or crew member will be attacked. In the upper part of the chassis and the rear of the tower, the ammunition rack is peacefully located.

It will be very difficult to get to it, except that if you fire from several barrels or several hits from a drum. The main thing here is that the ammunition load does not have time to recover.

It is also not easy to reach the engine in the middle of the chassis. The chances of a fire occurring are very small. But even with such protection, there are crew members whose contusion is much easier than disabling any module. Usually the gunner is to the left of the barrel, and the commander to the right, the loaders sit at the rear of the turret.

The effectiveness of firing cumulative charges at the side armor of the Maus is equal to zero, since the jet of this projectile, piercing the armor, is sprayed without reaching the main armor.

The best place to penetrate is the top of the undercarriage, where the armor is about 200 millimeters at right angles. In order to get to the crew, you need to shoot at the turret at an angle of about 30 degrees, where the armor is slightly more than 200 millimeters.

Angle stand or rhombus

Experienced players will not stand straight towards you, if the Mouse is at an angle to you, then you can not try, in such a position it will be impossible to break through it, not counting the art, so you have to wait until he directs his sight at you to work on the ears. There is still a chance to break through the rink, but here you need extreme accuracy. It's good if he doesn't see you in this case.

Unfortunately, there are no other options to break through this monster, only if you knock down the harp and give the opportunity to send a package from art.

Even if some skillful tank driver jumped out behind the Mouse, it's too early to rejoice, it will not be so easy to break through the stern, we are not talking about the tower at all.

It remains only to level your car, bring it as close to right angle shot or, again, shoot at the roller with maximum accuracy.

In any case, if you drove Mouse in the stern, then you have a better chance of punching it than in the forehead.
