Kizilovoe - a gardening village in the Baidar Valley. Geographically refers to Sevastopol, Balaklava district. There are no IZHS and LPH plots here, only garden plots (the garden partnership "Baydarskaya Dolina").

In Kizilov there is a small shop, the board of the cooperative. For all other benefits, you need to go either to Orlinoe or to Foros.

There are three lakes in Kizilovo, one of which is suitable for swimming and is quite picturesque. In half an hour from it you can climb the Baydarsky Gate pass, from where a stunning view of the southern coast of Crimea, Foros, opens. Another 5 kilometers is the descent to Foros, those who wish can take walks. However, from here you can climb the main ridge of the Crimean mountains, go down to the village of Laspi, walk to the temple of the Sun - there are enough hiking trails and attractions.

In general, Kizilovoye is more suitable for summer holidays, although people live here in winter. Nevertheless, in winter it is deserted and boring. Public transport practically does not go here (in my opinion, a bus calls in once or twice a day), so you can live here normally only with a car. In the summer, it’s not bad in Kizilovo, in all areas something is blooming, ripening, many people come to relax, life is in full swing. There are quite a few people who like Kizilovoye. There are many dachas in Sevastopol, although a sufficient number of dachas belong to the rest of the mainland Russians and Ukrainians.

Being on the South Shore, the easiest way to start a trip through the canyons is from Ai-Petri Yayla.

Option 1 . If you have time and are not afraid of climbs, start from or along the old mountain road (it is called in many guidebooks Jewish) which will take you through Eski-Bogaz pass(1070m.) in ("Five troughs"). This is the most flooded place on. Here you can rest by the water or even set up camp. Forgive me for an unnecessary reminder for experienced tourists, but be extremely careful with fire in the Crimean forest, negligence leads to too disastrous consequences.
From Besh-Tekne, the trail, skirting karst funnels, will lead northwest to Mount Villa-Burun, and from there down to tract Ai-Dimitry.

Option 2. If you are not inclined to a one-kilometer (vertical) ascent to the Yayla on foot, use a car. Or you will be taken on a dirt road to tourist camp "Danila", not far from the same mountain Villa-Burun, or they will land on the pavement and go there on foot. Well, then the descent to Ai-Dimitri.
Along the way, a panorama of the Baydarskaya valley and the largest Crimean reservoir - Chernorechenskoye will open, this is approximately the middle of our journey.

On Ai-Dimitriya, when communicating with the forester Nikolai Alekseevich, be polite and helpful. One of his favorite memories is how he walked with a club at night through tents set up in the wrong place.
A beautiful captured spring in the tract is under the supervision of hydrogeologists. There is even a small lake.
Now it's a stone's throw to the upper reaches of the canyon Uzundzha rivers. These are two branches, the left one, as a rule, is waterless, and in the right, near the cave, named after the river, there is a good spring with a water intake, which, as always, spoils the view a little.

It is difficult to move in places, you can easily touch both walls of the gorge with your hands.

And in some places the channel expands and you can choose a clearing for an overnight stay. And friends, about one misfortune that happens in the mountains, except for a fire. During a downpour, harmless mountain streams can turn into violent streams in a few minutes, sweeping away everything in their path. When choosing a parking lot, be careful near the river.

In Turkic languages ​​the word "uzun" can mean both the noun "river" and the adjective "long". Ending "ja" implies "increase". Thus, Uzundzha is a "longish river", by definition. In fact, its length is about 11 km.
Don't wow. But this is if you drive along it by car, and if you walk along the canyon, but with backpacks, it’s not at all fast. Rapids and water boilers in the channel will leave a lot of impressions.

Finally, the canyon flattens out and you are in the surprisingly cozy Uzundzha basin. Once there was a village of the same name with the river, then it was renamed Kolkhoznoe village, then abandoned altogether. Today there are several dachas and an equestrian club.

By the way, lovers of delicacies will find here probably the largest grape snails in the Crimea.

The road is more than two kilometers. from the village of Kolkhozny to (to the Baidar valley) is very picturesque. It was carved into the rocky ground of the steep left side of the canyon.

In this part of the Uzundzha current, as a rule, it is waterless. However, sometimes, when the snow melts or heavy rains fall, a stream rages deep in the gorge. This part of the canyon will rarely occur to anyone to go along the channel, Too difficult and scary.

Our road turns west, there is a fork here. Behind the barrier, the primer goes up and after 100 meters leads to a small hollow, where it is located. For several years it has been well equipped and all year round guides are ready to show you its beauties.

On the way to the village of Rodnikovskoye, the river canyon widens and a miraculous transformation takes place with Uzundzha. On the right side of the river from a pile of stones beats one of the largest Crimean springs is Skelky.

Further, into the expanse of the Baidarskaya Valley, the river flows under the name . The valley itself was inhabited in very ancient times.
Archival maps brought to us the old pre-Turkic names of settlements: "Skelya", "Savatka", "Urkusta", "Kalenda" and etc.

Before the construction of the reservoir, the Chernaya River received several tributaries in the valley, flowing from the surrounding mountains. Today, most of them flow into an artificial lake.

The Chernorechensk reservoir, created to provide water to Sevastopol, does not have a direct water conduit to the city.
Water is taken 15 kilometers below, at the mouth of the canyon. Throughout its length, the gorge is admirable. For starters, this is the amount of water, quite outlandish for the Crimean rivers, in their usual state.
At the entrance to the canyon, the average flow is about 2 cubic meters. per second. The sides, rising 250-300 meters high, are covered with juniper forests. So it seems - I got into the Central Asian mountains with their junipers.
The river seems to be playing with us - it either abruptly changes the direction of the channel, or generally hides under stones in places of absorption

Unfortunately, the lower part of the canyon has recently been in an unsanitary state. Considering that the drinking water intake of Sevastopol is located here, this causes complete bewilderment. A wide beach (the size of a football field) is used in the summer for the camps of some boy scouts. The entire bend of the river is manured and littered to the limit.
Two years ago, it was possible to drive here from an SUV. What we repeatedly did for the purpose of garbage collection. Now the forest department has installed a gate on the road, it's easier, less eyes.

But at the same time, an unpleasant thought always gnaws - what if, on our tip, a barbarian comes here and destroys everything, as they did with the southern coast of Crimea in recent years.
