New material "Energoflex Super TP". Thermal insulation for the "warm floor" system

Super TP "is intended for use in heating systems of the" warm floor "type, when the height of the screed cannot exceed 3-5 cm. As a rule, these are already operated premises, where the height of the" warm floor "structure is a limiting factor in the choice of heat-insulating materials.

"Energoflex Super TP" is a foamed polyethylene of the "Energoflex Super" brand, covered with aluminum foil, on which a polymer film with markings is applied for laying heating elements. Thermal conductivity coefficient - 0.039 W / (m.K) at 20 ° С, thickness 3 or 5 mm. The share of radiant energy in the heat transfer of a warm floor exceeds 50%, therefore, for effective work of the system, the temperature of the emitting surface is important, i.e. floor.

The use of a layer of thermal insulation "Energoflex Super TP" can significantly reduce the outflow of heat into the capital structures of the building. As a result, in order to achieve the required temperature of the underfloor heating surface when using insulation, it is possible to reduce the installed power and save up to 20% in energy costs.

Aluminum foil provides uniform heating of the heated floor surface and avoids the appearance of areas of local overheating, which is especially important with a small thickness of the screed. Note that when using metallized rather than metal coatings, local overheating of individual areas is inevitable.

This not only reduces comfort, but can also lead to cracking of the screed. The ability to endure multiple heating and cooling cycles of the "Energoflex Super" polyethylene foam without destroying the pores and the presence of a protective polymer film that ensures the safety of aluminum foil from the aggressive effects of concrete cement mortar, allow us to speak about the stability of the thermal insulation properties of the material throughout the entire service life.

Due to the properties of foamed polyethylene "Energoflex Super TP" performs a useful secondary function - floor sound insulation. There are two main ways to install a warm floor. The first method (see fig., A ~ 1 ~) is when the warm floor occupies the entire area of the room:

  • An “Energoflex Super TP” insulation layer is laid on the monolithic structure of the base (floor).
  • Insulation sheets are joined with adhesive tape resistant to the effects of concrete-cement mixtures. A damper tape is laid along the walls, which isolates the screed from the wall.
  • An assembly tape is laid on the insulation layer, to which heating elements are attached according to the marking.
  • The screed is being poured. Since the thickness of the screed is small, it must be reinforced.

The second method (see fig., B) is when the warm floor is laid on a part of the area of the room:

  • In the area where the warm floor is supposed to be placed, lay out the insulation layer. Connect the joints of the insulation with tape resistant to the effects of concrete-cement mixtures.
  • Lay the mounting tape on the insulation layer and, using the markings, fix the heating elements on it.
  • Cut holes 3x3 cm across the entire area of the thermal insulation in a staggered manner. The distance between the holes is no more than 50 cm.
  • Pour the screed. Since the thickness of the screed is small, it must be reinforced.

After the screed has hardened, the floor covering is laid.

ENERGOFLEX SUPER TP AL rolls are a high-quality solution for thermal insulation of heated floors in residential premises. Foamed ENERGOFLEX SUPER polyethylene is covered with aluminum foil, protected by a chemically resistant polymer film. Foamed polyethylene reduces heat loss, and the foil evenly distributes heat from the heating elements over the entire floor area, protecting the screed and floor covering from local overheating. The small thickness of ENERGOFLEX SUPER TP AL rolls allows to reduce the overall thickness of the underfloor heating system, saving space in living areas.

    ENERGOFLEX SUPER TP AL ADVANTAGES:
    - the material is recommended to be used in "warm floor" systems designed to create thermal comfort in living quarters, in addition to the main sources of heating.
    - a ready-made thermal insulation system for a warm floor can significantly reduce installation time.
