That trichomonade and how to treat it. Trichomoniasis: Useful information for everyone

Trichomoniasis is a unique disease in the full sense of the word. On the one hand, it occurs three times more often than syphilis, chlamydia and HIV. But, on the other hand, it often remains without proper attention, both by the doctors and the patients themselves.

Often, a woman passes long-term treatment of ureaplazmosis-myoplasmosis, chlamydia, candidiasis, dysbacteriosis, simply "leukocytosis in the smears", which exits its body and suppresses protective forces, but complaints about periodic unpleasant discomforts that cause discomfort continue. In communication with such a woman, suddenly surrounds information that trichomonas sometimes found in the smears, which disappear, then appear again. Woman partner examined? From the answers of many women, you will find out that most often sexual partners remain aside from all surveys. And, on the contrary, where the examination of the partner is not rationally, they are sent to dozens of analyzes and conduct unreasonable treatment.
Trichomoniasis is a typical infection transmitted only by sexually, and therefore this is a small venereal disease. If a person has found trichomonias and the diagnosis of trichomoniasis is confirmed correctly, it is necessary to understand that the infection has occurred in sexual way, so the sexual partner (s) must be examined and treated. Most cases of trichomoniasis in men are not diagnosed! Unprotected sexual relations should be discontinued for the period of treatment. Most often, both partners are needed in treatment at the same time.

Prevalence trichomoniasis
In the world, according to WHO, 170-180 million people annually ill are sick, which significantly exceeds the frequency of gonor and chlamydia. In the US, trichomonas infected up to 10 million people, and in Europe - 11 million people. More than 150 million people are infected in developing countries. These indicators can be significantly higher (according to other data, more than 270 million people are infected in the world). In fact, this is the only venereal disease that is not subject to registration and reporting in the predominant majority of the countries of the world.
The prevalence of the disease depends on the socio-economic conditions of the population and the presence of timely high-quality medical care, good hygiene, the level of education of people. For example, in the US, black people are more often infected with trichomoniasis. Around the world, the level of patients with trichomoniasis among adolescents is increasing, because many of them lead an active sex life.
Trichomonaceous infection occurs in 29-84% of women (depending on the region), and half of these women does not have complaints and signs of the disease. Women having random sexual communications suffer from trichomoniasis 3.5 times more often than women with one sexual partner.
In relation to trichomoniasis, men in medical literature have a lot of gaps: a trichomonaceous infection in men has not been almost studied. The last serious publications on this topic were about 50 years ago.

Infection by trichomonas
To date, more than 50 varieties of trichomonad are known. Three species of trichomonad (T. Intestinalis, T. Elongate, T. Vaginalis) in human body lives in the human body. Regarding the ability to cause a trichomonaceous infection with these representatives of the simplest, many serious studies were conducted, including on women volunteers. It turned out that only the vaginal trichomonade can be the pathogen trichomoniasis. A vision-living trichomonad species in reservoirs has nothing to do with trichomoniasis.
Can trichneonade infection be transmitted by inconsistent paths? There is a lot of false and speculative information on this topic. History is quickly losing vitality outside the human body. These simplest instantly die in 2% soap solution and very quickly when dried. It is extremely rare (less than in 1% of cases) Trichomonas can be transmitted during contact of the genital organs with wet secretions of an infected person (when using washcloths, wet towels, dirty linen).
The pathogen may be viable for 24 hours in the urine, sperm, in water and in wet underwear. If there is a moist selection of an infected person on the toilet in the toilet, then the transmission of the causative agent of a healthy woman is theoretically, but it is almost unlikely that the woman will not notice the selection of the toilet bowl.
Trichomoniasis is more common in men and women with a large number of sexual partners. It is also more common in combination with other pathogens.
If a healthy man has a contact with a patient with a trichomoniasis woman, he has 70% of the chance to infect this infection. If a healthy woman has contact with a sick man, the risk of infection is 80-100%. No other sex infection has such a high level of transmission of the pathogen. If we consider that for several days, trichomoniasis flows hidden (the incubation period in some cases can be delayed for more than a month, but on average it is 4-28 days), the risk of transmission trichomonade is extremely high. In men, trichomoniasis proceeds without symptoms more often than women, and it also needs to be remembered.

Signs of trichomoniasis
Up to 60% of women may not have signs of trichomonaceous infection. Many women are carriers of trichomonas, which in combination with other microorganisms can lead to the emergence of acute inflammation of the appendages after a certain period of time. Most often, women complain about the abundant amount of gray-yellow (purulent), sometimes foamy discharge from the vagina, with an unpleasant smell, as well as on painful and frequent urination, itching and burning in the exterior genital organs. In some cases, the swelling of the sexual lips, the walls of the vagina and the cervix should be observed.
This infection is often found in combination with gonor and / or chlamydia (only in 10.5% of cases trichomoniasis proceeds as monoinfection, that is, one harmful pathogen), which can lead to a long-term flow of inflammation of the small pelvis organs and the emergence of infertility.
In men, trichomonaceous infection can cause an inflammatory process in the urethra. In 50% of cases of all trichomonad urethritis, it is the only pathogen of this disease, which can end with the formation of the ureacious channel adhesive, which can later lead to male infertility. Often, trichomoniasis is associated with chronic prostatitis (20% of cases).
In pregnant women, trichomonaceous infection can be one of the risk factors for the development of premature genera and premature rupture of the fetal shells. Trichomoniasis is also associated with the birth of low weight children. During childbirth in some cases, a trichomonaceous infection can pass the child.

Trichomoniasis and other infections
The relationship between trichomoniasis and other hazardous sexually transmitted infections has been seen for a long time. It is known that a trichomonaceous infection doubles the risk of long-term (persistent) viral infections, which is caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). In Women, HPV is associated with the development of the precancerous state and cervical cancer, so you can convincingly say that trichomoniasis increases the risk of developing these pathological states of the cervix. Self-cleaning of the body from HPV types, which are involved in the development of cervical cancer, healthy women occur within 1-2 years (in 90% of cases) - on average in 180 days. In women with trichomoniasis, the self-purification of the body from HPV is lengthened by 2.5 times.
Women suffering from trichomonaceous infection are at risk of infection with a variety of herpes simplex (HSV) twice as bigger than healthy women.
There are reliable data that the presence of trichomoniasis increases the risk of HIV infection. It is important to understand that the degree of infection with viral infections transmitting sexually depends largely on the state of the mucous cover of the urogenital system. Healthy epithelium cells have a greater power of opposition to the viral agent, so infection of people who do not have other sex infections, viral infections (HIV infection, hepatitis, herpes, etc.) occurs as often, despite sexual contact with a sick person. And, on the contrary, the level of infection increases significantly, if the mucous membranes are damaged, especially with the formation of ulcers, because ulcers are an open gate for any virus. Trichomonas lead to damage to the cells of the epithelium, so the protective forces of the mucous membranes are sharply reduced. Trichomoniaz is called a cofactor in HIV.

Diagnosis of trichomoniasis
Inspection of external genital organs, vagina and cervix women are not a reliable diagnostic method, although the discharge in the presence of trichomoniasis has specific unpleasant odors, foaminess, or may be abundant, greenish-purulent. In the chronic flow of a trichomonaceous infection, changes in the mucous covers of the cervix and vagina occur - there are point redness of the epithelium, which are small hemorrhages in the fabrics of the flat epithelium. Therefore, when inspecting the coloring of the cervix, resembles strawberries (spot colpit), which is called the "sign of strawberries".
In men, signs of trichomoniasis and is less, therefore, in addition to physical inspection, it is important to conduct a number of laboratory research.
All methods of diagnosis can be divided into three groups - old, new and newest. Each method of diagnosis has its advantages and disadvantages. The assessment of these methods is made through sensitivity (less falsely negative results) and specificity (less false positive results) in relation to the identification of the infectious pathogen. The table below shows the sensitivity and specificity of the existing diagnostic methods of trichomoniasis.

Method name

Time spending

Sensitivity (%)

Specificity (%)

Old methods:

Native smear

Painted smear

Cytological smear

Cytological smear on liquid base

Cultivation on agar

New methods:

Cultivation on broth

Test on the smell

The latest methods:

Speed \u200b\u200bantigen test

A few hours or days

Unapplication VPIII Test

Nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT)

Few hours

Amplification test (TMA)

Few hours

Not all of these methods are used in post-Soviet laboratories.
The test sensitivity often depends on the material that was taken to analyze. The advantage must be given to the vaginal discharge and the scraping in women, and the discharge and scraping from the urethra in men.
The smear of the discharge using the potassium solution helps to determine the unpleasant (fish) smell, which can be observed in trichomoniasis, but it is used very rarely in modern practice.

Microscopic examination of the discharge (Fresh native strokes and painted strokes) allows you to detect trichomonas, as well as the presence of a large number of modified lymphocytes. The more lymphocytes, the more pronounced the infectious process. Often, with trichomoniasis, other types of microorganisms are kokcobacilli.
Cytological strokes (by papanicolau) or liquid cytological strokes are a good diagnostic method. Quite often, laboratory technicians do not indicate the presence of trichomonas, but in conclusion they write: "Atypic cells of the epithelium are revealed. Exclude trichomonaceous infection. " This is a wonderful tip for the attending physician and should be taken into account.
With negative results of the study, trichomonas can be detected using cultivation separated from the urethra, vagina, the secret of prostate and sperm. The culture method has a greater value for recognizing atypical forms to diagnose trichomoniasis and to control treatment, it is also considered a "gold standard" diagnostics.
Serological methods Diagnostics are becoming very popular, but they must complement, and not replace other methods of diagnosing trichomoniasis. Trichomonas have an extremely large number of proteins on the shell surface (antigens), so the definition of antibodies to them is rather an experimental diagnostic method than a reliable practical method.
Having such a large selection in the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, most cases of this disease remain still not diagnosed in people who visiting therapeutic institutions. In most of these institutions there are no clear survey algorithms. Usually doctors send patients immediately into several tests, or only for serological tests. The results of the tests often contradict each other, doctors do not know how to interpret them, so one prescribe treatment of NAVAUM, others do not appoint anything at all, the third ignore the examination and treatment of the partner.

Rational approach in the diagnosis of trichomoniasis
Progressive medicine is guided by the principle of rationality: as at the lowest time and finance costs, to carry out accurate diagnosis of the disease. This principle takes into account not only the sensitivity and specificity of different diagnostic methods, but also the cost of each method, the speed of conducting and necessarily safety for a person passing a survey (the smaller the test is invasive, that is, the less in the body needles, systems, devices, preparations and Ts ., the test is safer).
For the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, there is also a rational survey algorithm, which avoids extra costs (not important from whose pocket), extra errors in diagnosis, extra stress for humans and excessive waste of time (someone else's life too).

Rules of a rational approach in the diagnosis of trichomoniasisnext:
1. Physical examination of the patient (gynecological in women) and the fence of the material on the study - native (fresh or wet) smear from the vagina in women and from the urethra of men. Why native smear, despite its low sensitivity? Because it is the cheapest method of diagnosis, as the fastest: inspection of the selection under the microscope must be carried out in minutes. If trichomonas are identified in a native smear, an additional survey is not necessary. Of course, it is necessary to take into account the complaints and inspection results.
2. If the result of native smear is negative, you can test the speed definition of the antigen or one of amplification tests. Such tests are more expensive, but the result can be obtained within 10-30 minutes or several hours (in a number of laboratories for several days). If the result is positive, you can assign treatment.
3. If the result of high-speed diagnostics is negative, most doctors recommend using cultivation in the presence of complaints and signs of trichomonaceous infection.
The use of a larger number of diagnostic methods for the diagnosis of trichomoniasis is not recommended.
Of course, each doctor may have their own principles for the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, but the passage of reinsurance should not dominate in surveys and treatment.

Treatment of trichomoniasis
Up to 1960, until 5-nitroimidalol (metronidazole) appeared on the market, the treatment of trichomoniasis was more often unsuccessful than successful. A little later, other drugs from the group of 5 nitroimidazoles appeared on the market - Ornidazole, Tinidazole, which began to be used in the treatment of trichomonaceous infection.
Modern post-Soviet schemes include a long-term reception of tableted metronidazole preparations (trichopol), and in very high doses. In addition to this drug, doctors prescribe another additional drug from the same group of nitroimidazoles, even the same metronidazole, but under a different name (another manufacturer). Plus antibiotics, antifungal drugs, a whole list of vitamins and dietary supplements, candles, baths, dying, "washing" of urethra, bladder, uterus and even microclizms. Most people do not withstand such treatment schemes, because already on the second day of drug intake, many nausea appear, vomiting, liver pain, digestion disorder and many other side effects. Women are stable men, so steadfastly "finish" the appointed course will then draw yourself to a multi-month fighting with other health problems that have appeared.
It has been proven that the treatment of trichomoniasis has never required and does not require doubling, tripling, multiple increase in both the dose and the time of reception of drugs, and the combination of some drugs at all.
The most popular and fairly effective method of treating trichomonaceous infection has been the use of metronidazole inwards for more than 30 years. Local treatment in the form of vaginal tablets and candles may be insufficient, since trichomonas are affected not only the mucous membrane, but also bartoline glands, urethra.
Numerous studies have shown that the use of a single dose of the drug has the same level of complete cure, as well as the use of other modes (3-5-7 days of treatment), therefore, the doctors use the drum dose of metronidazole to treat trichomoniasis. The impact unit dose of metronidazole (trichopol) is 2 grams - and no more. You can take 250 mg (1 tablet) trichopol twice a day for 5 days.
Many of our doctors do not know that if trichomonas are sensitive to the metronidazole, then 2 grams of the drug are quite enough for recovery. If trichomonas are not sensitive to the metronidazole, then after appointment even super-doses, there will be no effect in treatment, but a lot of serious complications arise from the patient due to treatment. Therefore, such an inflection of the stick in the treatment of trichomoniasis is based on too obsolete Soviet schemes.
Many infections in modern medicine are successfully treated with shock unit doses of drugs that are transferred easily and in efficiency is not inferior to long-term treatment courses, but have fewer side effects. Complete cure is observed in 90-95% of cases after applying a single dose of metronidazole.
Within 48 hours after the application of metronidazole, a person should not take alcohol due to the possible development of antabussic (disulfiramic, teturam) reaction, which manifests itself in the form of a rapid heartbeat, ailment, nausea, vomiting. Metronidazole also causes a feeling of dryness in the mouth and often staining urine on the type of meat ass.

Trichomoniaz Recurches
Why doesn't have the recovery, everyone without exception? For the first time, stability (resistance) Trichomonads to the metronidazole was discovered in 1962 - a few years after the medication appeared. The long period of time of the alternative drug was not, the appointment of large doses of metronidazole or repeated courses did not lead to recovery, and this caused some fear among doctors and a purely professional dislike for this pathogen (just like many doctors are extremely aggressively fighting with ureaplasm or Chlamydia).
If the desired recovery does not occur, you must answer a few questions:
1. Is the sexual partner (s) examined for trichomonade in its body?
2. Is the partner treatment been carried out simultaneous treatment?
3. Was it limited to sex life during the treatment period and prevention measures were used (condoms)?
4. Patient sustained strain trichomonade or re-infection from partner (s)?
Stability Trichomonas to the metronidazole occurs not often. If it is suspected (from the moment of treatment until the trichomonade discovery, a person has no sex contacts, for example), is prescribed to the second-generation nitroimidazole, as a disposable dose (2 grams). It is also effective in the treatment of Amebiaz. Less exponentials of metronidazole repeated courses are appointed, usually in a slightly larger dose and within 5-14 days.
People tend to hide important information from doctors when it comes to their intimate life, even if there is a serious danger to human health. In the transfer of genital infections there is always a circuit of relationships: the causative agent-female causative agent-male causative agent-female causative agent-male pathogen, etc. Therefore, it is very important in time to interrupt this chain of transmission of an infectious agent. Recurrements trichomonaceous infection, like other sex infections, is most often not the manifestation of the ineffectiveness of treatment. The main reason for the appearance of repeated cases of trichomoniasis is the existence of the same solid infection transmission chain.

Treatment of trichomoniasis in pregnant women
With regard to the treatment of pregnant women, carriers of Trichomonas, now many contradictions have appeared. Clinical studies in a number of major medical centers of the world have shown that the treatment of trichomoniasis metronidazole does not reduce the frequency of premature genera in women who have trichomoniasis without symptoms. Modern recommendations say that a pregnant woman, regardless of whether she has complaints and signs of trichomoniasis, must undergo the treatment of this infection.
However, in 2001, a publication appeared in scientific and medical circles, which argued that in women who were treated with trichomoniasis metronidazole, the level of premature births is higher than those who have not been treated. Therefore, other recommendations offered the opposite: pregnant women without complaints the diagnosis of trichomoniasis is not needed.
A more detailed study of the American clinical study, on the basis of which this article was published, showed that 8 grams of metronidazole were used for the treatment of trichomoniasis, when the standard safe dose for pregnant women is 2 grams, the treatment was prescribed late for 4 weeks after the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, Usually in the second trimester of pregnancy. The study was not completed, because the doctors considered that the use of metronidazole to prevent premature birth is ineffective and accompanied by side effects.
Most doctors still adhere to the opinion that trichomoniasis in a pregnant woman should be diagnosed and treated on time, because it is necessary to take into account other negative consequences of a trichomonaceous infection, primarily its relationship in the transfer of a number of serious sexual infections. Metronidazole is not teratogen, that is, it does not cause malformations and death of the embryo. This is a completely safe drug and can be used if necessary in the first half of pregnancy.

Treatment of sexual partner
Should a partner (man) have to be treated if he has no signs of trichomonaceous infection? The correct answer is: Yes, a man must pass a survey and treatment immediately. The time of treatment it is necessary to avoid unprotected sex contacts.
If you take into account the high cost and time of the examination, is it easier for a sexual partner to appoint an impact dose of medication at the same time? Most doctors do so, although it will re-write the duties of the doctor not to prescribe treatment in absentia, but only after collecting complaints, inspection and examination of a person. And often the following happens: the woman comes home after visiting the doctor and says to her man that he must take these pills, because it is treated from some kind of infection there, and these are the diagrams of treatment. The man will take these tablets or not, unknown. He may not even ask the name of the disease. Therefore, the severity of the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, which is a venereal disease, and not a cold or even somehow, is lost and not perceived by sexual partners properly.

Control of the effectiveness of treatment
Many people are interested in the question of how to find out that the person recovered and no longer contagious. How it does not sound implausible, trichomoniasis is self-healing disease (as well as HPV infection, and chlamydia). In people who are not undergoing treatment, trichomoniasis usually lasts up to 4 months in men and under 5 years old in women. Women trichomonas are on average within 12 weeks. About one third of women will still turn out for help due to the signs of trichomonaceous infection. In almost a third of women, trichomoniasis self-cured without treatment. But even in such a semi-optimistic picture of the election of sex infection, there are several "but".
First, it is possible to speak about possible self-esteem only if the infected person has a long period there is no sexual bonds. Secondly, it is always important to remember that the process of recovery depends on the protective forces of the body and the lifestyle of a person. Thirdly, with other genital infections, spontaneous recovery is almost impossible. And, fourth, trichomonaceous infection can be long or persistent in some cases. Therefore, it is always better to undergo treatment than hope for strength and help of nature.
Trichomonad stability to metronidazole is observed only in 5% of people, but when it is necessary to undergo a control examination, there are no clear recommendations. Most doctors offer for control diagnostics to use PCR or TMA two weeks after treatment, as native smear and cultivation may be negative for several weeks and even months after treatment. This is due to the fact that for the allocation of the culture, a certain concentration of trichomonads is necessary in the material, and after treatment, the number of trichomonas can be significantly reduced. In a smear, the number of trichomonads can also be low and therefore not noticed when viewing. Many doctors recommend to conduct PCR or TMA several times in a row for 3-6 months (once a month).
At the time of the presence of signs of acute infection, sex acts are often accompanied by severe discomfort and pain, therefore are not desirable until the inflammation subsides. Unprotected sexual acts, that is, without condoms, given the fact that the sexual partner is well recommended only after confirming complete recovery, usually no earlier than two weeks after the completion of treatment (before receiving the results of the control analysis). Some doctors advise to use condoms from 3 to 6 weeks. Pregnancy planning during the treatment and control of recovery is not desirable.

Trichomoniasis is the most common venereal disease, which is transmitted by sexual path. In a large number of patients, the question arises: is it possible to cure trichomoniasis? Therapy of this disease is quite complicated and can take several years.

The treatment time of the disease may take several years only if the symptoms have been revealed indefinitely. Therapy of the disease is significantly accelerating with the timely appointment of relevant drugs. If a prolonged course of treatment is used, then you do not need to spend for several years. It will only be enough to pass one course. The disease is cured by receiving antibiotics, which are characterized by the presence of a pronounced antibacterial effect.

If a person will be engaged in self-medication, it will lead to the aggravation of the process, which will be delayed for several years.

Trichomoniasis is treated only if the scheme is correctly selected. If the most effective and powerful medicines will be taken unsystematicly, it will not lead to the desired results.

Such therapy will cause rapid breeding trichomonade and the flow of the disease over several years. In this case, the disease will not work from the first time, since trichomonas will lose sensitivity to antibacterial drugs. This will lead to a significant complication of the treatment of the disease.

If the patient says: I can not cure trichomoniasis, then this indicates an incorrectly selected technique. The disease can be cured for 1 year only with an integrated approach. The treatment diagram should include several approaches. First of all, the patient needs to take antibiotic agents.

To ensure their maximum high effect effect, it is necessary to use immunostimulants, use physiotherapy. The sick person must be able to sit on a diet. He needs to abandon any sexual relationship. Patients are recommended to use local procedures with a localized effect effect.

Cerencing Psoriasis is possible quickly, if the ailment was noticed in the first year of its development. Each second woman who was diagnosed in a timely diagnosed disease, cured.

Fighting bacterial trichomoniasis

Trichomonas are absorbers and carriers of a variety of bacteria. When such a process appears, bacterial trichomoniasis develops in women and men. How long is such a disease? This directly depends on the timeliness of the diagnosis of pathology.

Trichomonas makes an active intensity of crawls of the STD from the effects of modern antibacterial drugs. That is why the improper treatment of the infectious process can lead to a rapid release of secondary pathogens. Against this, this may observe the appearance of a repeated inflammatory process in the urogenital system.

Some may re-observe the appearance of the disease. You can cure trichomoniasis only if it is properly diagnosed. That is why before and after treatment, appropriate microbiological research should be carried out. These diagnostic methods make it possible to identify other pathogenic microorganisms and timely adjustment of the adopted treatment regimen. At the same time, the individual characteristics of patients are taken into account. Of them often depends the dosage of medicines: 50 or 100 mg.

If a person has cured trichomoniasis quickly, it does not eliminate the possibility of re-appearing invasion. Repeated contact with the carrier will not allow to heal the disease using the method of immune protection.

A person may have infection with new pathogens, which is due to the absence of antibody antibodies to trichomonas.

As a result, there is a disease in chronic form. Is it possible or not to cure trichomoniasis in chronic form? With the right approach to this process, it is possible to overcome the pathological process.

Bacterial trichomoniasis is a more severe form and is characterized by sufficiently long treatment. If you seek help from a qualified doctor, then eliminate the disease is quite possible.

Innovative treatments

Most doctors consider trichomoniasis with a healing disease only in the case of the use of innovative therapeutic methods.

Modern methods of treating disease are not very much. Despite this, they are characterized by a high level of efficiency. During the reception of medicines, it is necessary to remember that drugs adversely affect the process of absorbing alcohol with the body. With the simultaneous use of alcoholic beverages and drugs, the first of them is poorly neutralized toxins.

If the patient does not adhere to this rule, this will lead to undesirable effects in the form:

  • poisoning;
  • allergic reactions;
  • toxic shock.

In accordance with the data of medical statistics, it was proved that drug drugs group nitroimidazoles are characterized by insufficient effectiveness. That is why even if a long course is used, the disease remains not cured.

Reducing the sensitivity of urinary infections can be explained by several factors. For example, a vaginal trichomonade may be resistant to components of such a medicine as metronidazole.

If the pathogens have a high level of resistance to this drug, then it will be weak to give in to the eradication. In this case, to ensure the effectiveness of therapy, it is necessary to increase the concentration of basic toxic substances. They must be taken not only inward, but also use intravaginal or urethral methods.

Treatment of trichomoniasis is a rather complicated process. That is why the therapy scheme should be developed by the doctor only after passing the patient with appropriate diagnosis.

Consequences and complications

With proper and timely treatment there is a complete recovery of man. If irrational therapy was used, it could lead to male or female infertility. In some patients, after treatment, there was problems with the conception of a child. A fairly frequent consequence of irrational therapy for representatives of the weak gender was the unbearable of the child. In some cases, women had premature birth.

Trichomonas are absorbed by some pathogenic microbes. At the same time, they do not destroy them, which leads to the spread of the infectious process and the difficulty of treatment. As a result, neoplasms of malignant character may occur.

The course of the disease negatively affects the performance of the human immune system. This leads to an increase in the chance of infection with other infections, the transfer of which is carried out by half.

In case of late treatment of trichomoniasis, an inflammatory process may be observed in the urinary tract. Most often, patients were diagnosed with pyelonephritis or cystitis.

Women's more complications of trichomoniasis are diagnosed than that of strong sex. The most often observed an endometrite - an inflammatory process on the mucous membranes of the uterus. Against the background of this disease, cervicitis can develop - inflammation in the cervix. A sufficiently frequent complication of the disease is adnexitis, which is affected by the ovaries. Patients may diagnose salpingitis - inflammatory process in the fallopian tubes.

Representatives of strong sexually disease may be complicated by the prostatitis, which is an inflammatory process in the prostate. Vesiculitis is diagnosed. In the development of this disease, seed bubbles are affected. Improper treatment of the disease can lead to an epididium-error - a pathological process in the ovaries and its appendages.

Trichomoniasis is a rather serious disease that requires the right approach to treatment. That is why patients are encouraged to seek help from highly qualified doctors, which in the process of developing treatment regimens take into account the features of the disease.

Trichomoniasis is an infectious disease that is transmitted by sexual path. The pathogen is trichomonas vaginalis. The most often diagnosed trichomoniasis of the vagina, which is observed in women of reproductive age. The disease is quite common, approximately 17 million people fall ill annually. Practically, half of the patients infected with trichomoniasis are absent symptoms.

The ways of infection with trichomoniasis, its symptoms and treatment are interested in many people leading active sex life. Also, they are often wondering how trichomonas in the body appear.

Trichomonads

Trichomonas are the simplest microorganisms, the pathogens of the disease Trichomoniasis. Their size does not exceed 30 microns. Trichomonas are moving with flavors, they are very mobile and multiply by division. Trichomonas are omnivores, they have no sex signs.

In the human body can live:

  • Trichomonasvaginalis.
  • Pentatrichomonashominis.
  • Trichomonastenas.

Note! Often Trichomonas Vaginalis becomes satellites of other pathogenic organisms: Gonokokkov, Chlamydia, herpes viruses and papillomas, mycoplasma or yeast mushrooms.

They damage the epithelium, giving the opportunity to other microbes to penetrate the body faster, and protect them from the attack of the immune system.

How trichomoniasis is transmitted

Ways to infection with trichomoniasis disease:

  • Sexually. Infection by trichomonas occurs when vaginal, oral or anal sex without using a condom. A healthy man in contact with carrier will acquire alert in 70% of cases, while a woman after sex with an infected partner receives a disease in 100% of cases.
  • Household. You can get infected with a disease when using other people's towels, washcloths or linen. But the percentage of patients received a disease in such a way, because outside the human body trichomonas can live no more than two hours. More often women are infected by the structure of genital organs. Men get a disease contact very rarely.
  • Intravaginal path. In 5% of cases, it is possible to infect the child with trichomoniasis, when it passes through the generic paths of the infected mother. Most often, the disease get girls, the boys are infected in very rare cases.

Manifestations

The duration of the incubation period ranges from 2 to 48 days. On average, it lasts about two weeks. Trichomonas can cause an inflammatory process, and their livelihood products negatively affect the body and worsen the work of the immune system.

If from the moment of contacting the microbe to the body passed no more than two months, trichomoniasis is considered fresh. In the future, he becomes chronic. The disease can be complicated.

Also the trichomonasiasis is also distinguished when these microorganisms live in the genital paths. They are transferred to the partner, but at the same time the carrier does not cause any unpleasant symptoms.

Only in 10% of cases, trichomonosis proceeds as monoinfection. In the rest of his companions are mycoplasma, Gardanell, chlamydia, mushrooms from the genus Candida.

Symptoms in women

In women, in contrast to male, trichomoniasis is manifested much more often. With different forms of illness, signs may differ. Most often, the disease amazes vagina and urethra. Before menstruation, the symptoms of trichomonosis causes more intense.

Acute form

For acute (complicated) forms, the following signs of Trichomionoz are characteristic:

  • Abundant foaming caustic isolation, yellow-green or white.
  • Sometimes blood streaks appear in the urine and white.
  • Pain sensations during sex.
  • Loss of mucous membrane of its elasticity, the occurrence of ulcers and erosions.
  • Itching in the vagina.
  • Itching vulva, which sometimes applies to the inner surface of the hips.
  • Sweet and redness of the sex.
  • Dermatitis on the inside of the thighs.
  • Periodic greeting pain at the bottom of the abdomen.
ComplicationsWhat symptoms
Bacterial vaginosis
  • Fencing discharges in trichomoniasis acquire a characteristic smell of flicker fish, amplifying after sexual contact.
Urethritis
  • Burning during urine output.
  • Frequent urination.
  • Weak allocations from the urethra.
Vulvovaginit
  • The edema of the vulva is enhanced.
  • Redness and breaks on the skin of the hips and crotch appears.
  • Erozia arise in the field of external genital organs.
Bartolinitis
  • There is inflammation of the output duct of the bartholinium gland.
  • Benefitful swelling and redness occurs near the outdoor duct.
  • When pressed from the duct hole, purulent contents arises.
  • Bartoliniye iron is protruding and partially overlaps the entrance to the vagina.
  • The temperature rises, the chills appears, weakness and deteriorates well-being.

The uterus is rarely defeated. This explains that the secret of the uterus cervical glands has an alkaline reaction, which is destructive effect on pathogenic microorganisms. But after abortion or childbirth, it can penetrate inside, causing endometritis.

Note! Also in very rare cases, the infection penetrates the fallopian tubes and ovaries, causing inflammatory processes, spikes and cysts.

Subacious form of the disease

In this case, the disease proceeds without complications. The first symptoms of the disease:

  • Isolation of yellow color, foaming and possessing a bad smell.
  • Weak itching and burning during urine exit.
  • Weak pain at the bottom of the abdomen.
  • Pain in the vagina during sex.

Thorpid (low-power) form

In this form, the incubation period takes place for more than two months. The disease may manifest itself after a failure in the work of the immune system or in addition to other gynecological issues. The woman appears foamy allocations, and itching in the vagina. They are not so essential, so often the ladies do not pay any attention to it.

Chronic form of the disease

If the disease is not treated, in two months it goes into a chronic shape, the signs of which are:

  • Discomfort with urination act (in 4% of patients).
  • Pain sensations during sex (in 8% of patients).

The chronic form of the disease can move into trichomonasiasis, while a person remains a source of infection. In case of failures in the work of the immune system, the disease is exacerbated.

Trichomoniasis during menopause

The reduced level of estrogen in the period of menopause becomes the cause of violation of the functions of the mucous membrane of the vagina. Accordingly, local immunity fails, and optimal conditions are created for the development of pathogenic microorganisms. For trichomoniasis in women during menopause, the following symptoms are characterized:

  • Abundant damage in the form of mucus is sometimes with an admixture of pus or streaks.
  • Itching vulva.
  • Weak bleeding after sex.

In men

Most often, men occur in a hidden form. The reason for this becomes the fact that in the urethra there are no such good conditions for breeding Trichomonad, as in the women's vagina.

Studies have shown that on the second day after sexual contact with an infected woman, trichomoniasis infection is observed in 70% of men, and in five days this indicator is reduced to 30%.

The first signs of trichomoniasis in men:

  • Painting and burning in the urethra during urine outflow.
  • Issues for urination, which appear often, suddenly, usually in the morning clock.
  • Foamy isolation from the penis of white or yellowish color.
  • Sometimes it appears blood in urine or sperm.

A long flow of trichomoniasis leads to trichomonaceous damage to the scrotum, causing epidididitis. The disease begins sluggishly with pain, localized in the field of genital organs and abdomen. After a couple of days, the inflamed appendage increases in size and compacted. There is swelling and hyperimia, the body temperature rises to 38 degrees.

In the event that the infection struck the prostate gland, causing trichomonaderate prostatitis, the following symptoms appear in men:

  • Pain, during a defecation gives in the tailbone and thigh.
  • Pain in the scrotum and lower stomach.
  • Frequent desire to overcome the emerging at night.
  • Muddy urine, sometimes with strengths of blood.

In case of trichomonaceous balanopostitis, the following signs may manifest itself:

  • Itching Penis Head.
  • On the head of the penis and extreme flesh, cracks and ulcers appear.
  • The mucous membrane is thinned.
  • The head looks swelling and blushing.
  • Extreme flesh is narrowed because of what, the outcrop of the head is hampered.

Note! Signs of trichomoniasis in men are similar to the symptoms of gonorrhea, so it is necessary to carry out differentiated diagnosis.

In children

Trichomoniasis is transferred to the child while he passes through the birthway. In 90% of cases, they suffer from female infants, since the structure of the genitals, the possibility of infection quickly penetrate the body. Boys Disease is transmitted very rarely.

Trichomoniasis in children is manifested in the form of redness, edema and itching in the field of genital organs, as well as weak mucous drugs. But most often the disease proceeds asymptomatic.

In the girls of older, infected by the household, the disease proceeds in the same way as in adults.

Trichomoniasis in pregnant women

Most doctors converge in the opinion that trichomonas do not cause significant harm to the fetus, since these microorganisms do not penetrate the placenta. But it is necessary to treat the disease, since when it is neglected, it can cause premature birth.

During pregnancy, the chronic form of the disease often occurs. It is accompanied by such symptoms as pain, burning in urination, foamy allocations, redness and itching vulva.

Note! Since many drugs that help to cope with infection during pregnancy is prohibited, the disease should be treated under the control of the doctor, after passing all the necessary analyzes.

Intestinal trichomonade symptoms

Intestinal trichomonad may be present in any of the intestinal departments and cause the following symptoms:

  • The diarrhea for which liquid watery or foam caliper masses are characterized with an admixture of mucus.
  • Frequent calls for defecation, there are more than ten for a day.
  • Diarrhea is accompanied by painful sensations and spasms in the stomach.

Rota Trichomonas, Symptoms

The mouth trichomoniasis becomes a disease that is manifested in the form:

  • White or yellowish plaque in the oral cavity.
  • Purulent discharge from gum pockets.
  • Erosion on the mucous membranes of the mouth.
  • Unpleasant smell of mouth.
  • Sore throat.

Factors contributing to the exacerbation of the disease

The aggravation of the ailment may occur in the following cases:

  • Lowering immunity in chronic diseases or surgical interventions.
  • Infectious diseases.
  • Oncological diseases.
  • Venericual diseases.
  • Violation of personal hygiene rules.
  • Pregnancy.
  • Disorders of the hormonal background as a result of endocrine diseases.

Most often in female disease, the disease is exacerbated before menstruation. At this time, the amount of estrogen in the body decreases, therefore the acidity of the vagina increases, creating a suitable environment for the development of trichomonas.

Diagnostics

Trichomonas well adapted to existence in the human body. They can change their shape and disguise under lymphocytes and platelets. Often Trichomonas cling to themselves other microorganisms, evading the attack of the immune system.

In order to confirm the disease, the doctor holds an office collection. He clarifies the symptoms, finds out when they appeared and with which it is connected. Also, the specialist finds out the patient's details of his personal life, as often, the patient changes sex parreads and whether condoms use.

Then the inspection of the patient's genital organs is carried out, the presence of inflammation is determined. In the course of this, the doctor takes a smear for bacterioscopic analysis. In men, the fence of the material produces from the urethra, in women from the vagina. Also, male people take the secret of the prostate gland.

Trichomonas are very mobile, so they can be easily viewed under the microscope. The result of the analysis becomes known after half an hour.

If there are no pronounced symptoms, but suspicions of other venereal diseases arise, carry bapposev. The material is placed in a special nutrient medium, where pathogenic microorganisms begin to reproduce actively. This makes it possible not only to determine their presence, but also sensitivity to drugs.

The most accurate method by which trichomonas can be defined is a polymerase chain reaction of PCR. The analysis is made in 1 - 2 days, and its accuracy is 95%. When it is carried out, DNA cells of trichomonas are distinguished. It also allows you to determine the gonducts present in the smear, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, chlamydia and other pathogenic microorganisms.

Note! In controversial cases, the direct immunofluorescence method of the FIF, which reveals the antibodies to the causative agent of infection is used.

Treatment

The goal of treating the disease is the elimination of causative agents of infection, the restoration of microflora and the improvement of the work of the immune system. In that case, except for trichomonas in the body, other pathogenic microorganisms were identified, treatment should be complex and except anti-prototocalants are prescribed antibiotics.

Pills

As a fixed assessment, which helps to cope with trichomonade has long remained efficient, metronidazole (trichopol) is used. It refers to nitroimidazole derivatives and has antiprotozoic and antimicrobial action. When taking inside, it is quickly absorbed and accumulated in the body in the dose that helps to cope with the disease.

To combat trichomoniasis in men on the first day, it is necessary to take 2 tablets of metronidazole (500 mg) three times a day. Then the daily dose is reduced by 2 tablets. Treatment is carried out within a week.

In order to get rid of trichomoniasis, women take 250 mg of metronidazole in the morning and in the evening, additionally placing in the vagina in front of a bedcover containing 500 mg of the active substance. Treatment should last within ten days. If necessary, it is repeated in a month.

Tinidazole is used to combat the disease. It also as a metronidazole refers to mutual imidazole and damages the structure of DNA Trichomonad. In order to get rid of trichomoniasis, use 4 tablets (500 mg) once. In the event you need to receive medication repeat.

  • With increased sensitivity to their components.
  • With severe disorders of the liver and kidney function.
  • With severe diseases of the nervous system.
  • In the first trimester of pregnancy.
  • During lactation.

When using these funds, nausea, vomiting, digestive disorder, dizziness, headache can occur. As well as urticaria, itching, leukopenia, convulsions and general weakness. During the use of the means, it is possible to change the urine color to darker.

Note! In order to improve the restoration of the immune system, vitamin complexes are prescribed: Vitrum, Duovit, Supradin.

Candles and ointments

In the complex treatment of trichomoniasis, women prescribe suppositories, which include the same metronidazole: Trichopol, Clion, Metronidazole or Combined Terezhin or Mixing Means. They are injected into the vagina once a day before bedtime. Treatment continues from 7 to 10 days.

Men for local applications are prescribed metronidazole in the form of ointments or gel (metrged), it is applied to the head of the penis twice a day. The course of treatment will be consistent with the doctor.

Vaccination

In order to get rid of infection and prevent re-infection not only by trichomonas, but also the solingotrichovak vaccine is used by other pathogenic microorganisms. It allows you to normalize the vaginal microflora and restores its acid-alkaline balance. Under its exposure, the number of discharge is reduced, and other symptoms of the disease are eliminated.

For the main immunization, it is necessary to conduct intramuscularly 0.5 ml of the drug. Repeated injection is prescribed after 2 weeks, and the next one month later. Revaccination is carried out in a year. With the help of solingotrichovak, all the stages of trichomoniasis in women are cured.

Treatment of oral and intestinal trichomonades

Means based on metronidazole are also used to combat these diseases. In the intestinal trichomonade, the tablets take inside during the week. In severe cases, the drug metrogil is administered intravenously.

To treat the oral cavity, a means in the form of a metrogil-dental gel is used. Also use spray Miramistin.

Folk remedies

For the treatment of trichomoniasis, the following folk remedies are used:

  • Tincture of garlic. 4 large cloves of garlic are crushed, poured 50 ml of vodka and leave for a day. Fix and take 15 drops in the morning and in the evening for ten days.
  • Aloe. The leaves of the plant are cut, wrapped in paper and placed on a day in the refrigerator. Then washed, squeeze juice, which are soaked with a sterile bandage and placed on the night in the vagina. Treatment continues for a week.
  • Chamomile and calendula. In 10 g, the colors are mixed, a liter of boiling water is poured and insisted until the tool cools up to a comfortable temperature. The tool is used to wash and scrust.
  • Oak bark. 10 g of raw materials pour 250 ml of water and tomorrow on slow fire for 5 minutes. After it cools up to a comfortable temperature, strain and use for douching or arms.

In order to get rid of trichomoniasis and prevent recuridation:

  • Conduct treatment not only by the patient, but also his sexual partner, since it is a carrier of the disease and with a resuming of sexual life will be re-infected.
  • For the period of treatment, it is necessary to stop sex life.
  • In order for the treatment to be successful, you need to fulfill all the prescriptions of the doctor and take medicine on time.
  • During the reception of drugs, alcohol cannot be used, since this will lead to the appearance of a disulfiram-like reaction, in which redness of the skin, heat, burning, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, loss of consciousness occurs.

Complications of trichomoniasis

Active vital activity of trichomonas in the body becomes the cause of some complications. These microorganisms are able to absorb the gonduct while leaving them alive. Treatment of gonorrhea with trichomoniasis becomes ineffective.

Note! Trichomonas violate the work of immunity, allowing other pathogenic microorganisms to penetrate freely and multiply. In trichomoniasis, the risk of infection with the immune deficit virus is greatly rising.

Vital products Trichomonad are accumulated in the body, and cause intoxication. The disease leads to depletion, anemia, hypoxia. Against this, the aggravation of chronic diseases of the kidneys or bladder occurs.

In men, trichomoniasis can become a provocateur of inflammatory processes of prostate gland and eggs. All this can negatively affect the reproductive function.

In women, trichomoniasis may be complicated by various inflammatory processes in the field of the urinary tract and also cause infertility.

Preventive trichomoniasis

In order to prevent infection by trichomoniasis necessary:

  • Exclude indiscriminate sex.
  • In case of sex with new or non-confidence partners to use condoms.
  • When visiting public toilets, it is recommended to use overlays on the toilet.
  • You can not use other people's washcloths or towels.
  • The child needs to highlight their own soap and towel.
  • If trichomoniasis is revealed during pregnancy, it is necessary to cure it before childbirth.
  • In order to prevent infection by trichomonas after unprotected sexual intercourse, it is necessary to use chlorhexidine-based tools or Miramistin.
  • A month after unprotected contact, you need to consult the venereologist and pass the tests.
  • Trichomonas cannot long exist outside the human body, you can get rid of them with disinfectants or a solution of ordinary washing soap.
  • In order to strengthen the immunity, it is necessary to eat correctly. In the diet must prevail vegetables, fruits, low-fat meat and fish. From the use of heavy food it is better to abandon how it negatively affects the state of the digestive system and the body as a whole.
  • It is also recommended to get rid of bad habits. The use of alcohol can provoke an exacerbation of a chronic form of the disease, and smoking poorly affects the immune system.

When identifying signs of the disease, even finding out all about trichomoniasis, it is not necessary to engage in self-medication. To prescribe drugs and the diagram of their reception must be a doctor after a full-time consultation.

The diagnosis of trichomoniasis is carried out in order to identify microorganism. Trichomoniasis is distributed among men and women whose sex life is characterized by changing many partners. The disease is characterized by the presence of a plurality of foci, chronic flow and the presence of relapses.

Tremitomoniasis (Trichomonosis) is the most common urogenital infection in the world. More than half of the cases of appeal to the venereologist are associated with this disease.

To finally confirm the full cure, it is necessary to carry out three-time diagnostics, each time getting a negative result. For this purpose, various microscopic, culture and serological methods of diagnosing trichomoniasis are used.

Microscopic methods

Microscopic diagnostics is carried out through the study of the brought biological material From the organs of the urogenital system. The diagnosis of trichomoniasis in men is carried out by gender samples. Scraping with urethra is carried out after cleaning the selection from the penis head.

The smear is placed on the slide glass

In the case of happening scraping from urethra and cervix. The day before the analysis of analyzes, women should not sneak the vagina, and should not be urinated within a few hours before the taking of biomaterial.

With a good sample, trichomonas can be visible to the size of a little more leukocytes. After 2-3 hours Trichomonads cease to moveTherefore, it is important to conduct a study of samples immediately. On the movement of flavors and the abnormal membrane, you can determine the presence of trichomonas.

It is important to clean the sample from other bacterial forms of life, as they, being attached to leukocytes, can create a false impression about the presence of many living and movable trichomonades.

Coloring drugs

In addition to native smears, samples (preparations) painted by special methods are studied parallel:

Trichomonads painted in purple, under a microscopic magnification

In addition to the diagnosis of trichomoniasis, it is possible to detect and gonorona. It should also be paid attention to such auxiliary features as the presence of an increased amount of mucus in the smear and small clusters of leukocytes over epithelial cells.

Other microscopic methods

Luminescent microscopy In turn, based on application ultraviolet raysallowing on a dark background to consider cellular tissues of the sample and detect in them the presence of trichomonas.

As a rule, the use of microscopic methods is enough to confidently diagnose trichomoniasis for treatment in the clinic. Also carrying out such diagnostic procedures will allow to detect the presence of another possible pathogenic flora In the samples taken of biological material.

Microscopic examination should be carried out immediately after taking the sample

Other methods

Cultural method

If the clinical course of the disease is atypical or the disease passed in and does not have pronounced symptoms at the moment, it can be applied more long-term and complex method of cultivation of the pathogen medium In a special nutrient medium.

The most popular nutrient media 199-SDS, SGDS, SCMS. The cooked media is placed in the tubes with a volume of 5 ml and sealed with vaseline oil. Using a parser pipette, a bacteriological material is added to the bottom of the tubes. In the presence of illness, the results appear already during the first week.

Serological method

As a rule, serological diagnostics is based on the reaction fluorescence, enzyme immunoassay, complement binding reactions and Agglutination reactions. The antigen used in most cases consists of pre-grown trichomonov. Bloom and beef broth are added to the antigen.

In contact with

Trichomoniasis, like other venereal diseases is transmitted through unprotected sexual contact. The source of infection is Trichomonas Vaginalis.

The disease occupies a leading position in its industry. The symptoms of Holyoniasis are manifested in the defeat of the urethra, the prostate gland - in men, and the vagina - in women.

According to WHO, 10% of the world's population are the source of the pathogen trichomoniasis - vaginal trichomonovads. Every year, about 170 million people are recorded, which are subjected to infection with this disease. In the acute stage, abundant discharge from the vagina, itching and burning is noted - in women and - in men. Clinical manifestations of trichomoniasis are manifested by signs of other diseases - and proctitis.

A total of 3 types of trichomonade: mouth, intestinal and vaginal. The disease leading to the disease is only vaginal trichomonade, in contrast to the first two, which are considered harmless.

First of all, the disease is dangerous by their potential consequences. In the absence of a competent treatment regimen of trichomoniasis, it proceeds to the chronic stage, which in turn leads to, the development of infertility, violation in the process of tooling the fetus and subsequent birth. Therefore, we should not think about how to treat trichomoniasis at home, but to gather and go to the reception to the venereologist.

Most cases of infection are recorded in young women of the age group from 17 to 36 years.

Causes of trichomoniasis

In the bulk of cases, infection by trichomoniasis occurs when sex contacts in the vagina. The household path of infection (that is, infection when using common clothing, towels, and hygiene items) is very rarely observed. This is a consequence of the fact that with the slightest heating, drying or action of direct sunlight, the causative agent does not survive. In 5% of cases, the child can be infected during labor when passing through the generic channel from the infected mother.

Once in the urethra or in human genitals, Trichomonas with the help of flagellations are quickly attached to their cell covering. That is why they can completely calmly penetrate into the upper urinary tracts and, through the cervical canal, in the uterine cavity and appendage, causing characteristic symptoms.

Trichomonosis, causing chronic inflammation leads to colprises, vulvovaginitis, urethritis. Although modern medicine owns effective treatment schemes for most STIs, quickly cure trichomoniasis is extremely difficult even in our time.

Symptoms of trichomoniasis

Trichomoniaz begins to manifest itself with characteristic symptoms 1-4 weeks after entering the pathogen in the body of a woman or a man. This is due to a very long incubation period of trichomoniasis, which in some cases can reach 60 days.

Depending on the manifestation of symptoms and duration, trichomoniasis can flow in acute, pre-triac, chronic forms, and as trichomonasia.

The discharge of the vagina and the urethra canal is the most popular symptom of trichomonosis, manifested in 50-70% of people. Among women, this figure is even higher, among men - more moderate. To suspect trichomoniasis to women much easier than men. Because in most cases, men occur without visible symptoms.

Acute trichomoniasis in women It may appear in the form of cervicitis, vulvovaginitis, or urethritis. The first signs that the girl can alert:

  • isolation of the foam fluid from the vagina, the color varies from white to yellowish green, sometimes by smell can resemble a spoiled fish.
  • redness and irritation of the vaginal mucosa.
  • unpleasant feelings during intimate proximity.

Symptoms of trichomoniasis in women are exacerbated before the occurrence of menstruation or after supercooling. Trichomonada is dangerous and by the fact that significantly increases the risk of infection with the rest of the STD.

In men Trichomoniaz It flows with little symptoms, either asymptomatic. Basic signs:

  • pain, itching or burning during the defense of the need for small;
  • selection from the urethra (transparent or grayish-white);
  • may manifest if the prostate gland was amazed.

Unpleasant sensations in urination are enhanced after the use of alcoholic beverages, sharp dishes. Trichomonias in men can give complications: the head of the penis blushes, the extreme flesh swells, then rings are formed, abrasions, sometimes ulcers.

Inflammation of the small pelvis organs arising from trichomoniasis often become the cause of female and male infertility. In addition to the location of the pathogen, on the symptoms of trichomonosis, naturally, the overall condition of the human body is also affected. Especially brightly infection occurs when imminent immunity, as well as with other inflammatory processes.

In connection with the above, it is not necessary to independently invent the treatment regimens of trichomoniasis, refer to the reception to a specialist. He competently tells how to treat trichomoniasis correctly and without the risk of developing complications.

Diagnostics

The diagnosis of trichomoniasis is to detect the pathogen with the help of various methods. Symptoms similar to trichomoniasis are found at other illness, so it is very important to make a diagnosis correctly.

  1. First of all, this is a full-time inspection, and a patient's survey;
  2. Taking a smear of genital organs;
  3. PCR diagnostics;
  4. Microscopy of native and painted smears;
  5. Immunological method.

In suspected of a hidden form of the disease, the methods of culture sowing, immunoassimal analysis and PCR diagnostics are recommended.

Treatment of trichomoniasis

If you have found the first signs of the disease, you should contact the venereologist, a gynecologist or urologist. Treatment of trichomoniasis must be carried out with any forms of the disease, regardless of the presence or absence of clinical symptoms.

Treatment of trichomoniasis preparations are considered to be the most effective, and allows you to cure a disease in a short time. The active ingredient is metronidazole. These are mainly drugs like:

  1. Flagil;
  2. Trichopol;
  3. Faciin;
  4. Tinidazole.

The course of treatment is up to 2 weeks, and it must be brought to the end, otherwise the disease will "leave underground" and after a few years it may appear again. After the course is completed, it is necessary to undergo a control examination to determine - you have cured trichomoniasis or not.
