And now the announcement of the new multiplayer shooter Battle Carnival, which was accompanied by the close attention of the entire gaming community. The name of the development studio obliged this: in the above-mentioned Point Blank, and today, eight years after the release, a lot of people all over the world play, and this is not without reason. It seems that the Korean creators are well aware of what the players need, and therefore understand what a game needs to be in order to be successful with a discerning audience.

The last two examples are generally extremely effective in combat, for example. But the authors, it seems, also understood this, and therefore the skills are used only in one mode - "The Art of War". This is the same classic "Demolition" (in which one team must detonate one of the targets with a bomb or kill enemies, and the other must prevent their opponents from doing it), but it is distinguished by the ability to use the unique abilities of the characters.
At the testing stage, there were five of them in the game, after the release the number will increase. The choice of the mode very seriously affects the specifics of the gameplay, because there is a huge difference between the classic "Desmatch" and "Undermining", completely different approaches are required in tactical terms, the only thing that remains unchanged - in all cases, the mass destruction of enemies by all available means is encouraged.
Team Deathmatch, for example, does not really stand out in any way - the classic team battle for frags, which team killed more opponents in the allotted time limit or managed to score 120 frags before it expired, and won. But Item Death is already a modification of the previous mode, supplemented by many bonuses scattered on the maps, valid for 30 seconds, from a temporary significant acceleration of the running speed to high jumps and even a complete shutdown of recoil. There is also an increase in armor, first aid kits and similar joys, making the gameplay much more varied.
Of course, Skill Mode stands apart - the only mode in which you can use the unique skills of the characters. Not without the classic Demolition, in general it is very interesting what other developers will please us with for the release. But already now, Battle Carnival definitely does not suffer from a lack of variety of gameplay, and this is good news.
Considering how the game stands out for its features, it won't take long to forget about its main essence - this is a very dynamic, eventful shooter in which matches do not last long, but extremely intense, not allowing the players even to really take a breath, at least in the case of that the most popular so far is "Desmatch". No agonizing expectations: you were killed - please respawn after 5 seconds and again into battle.
The cards are all relatively small, and therefore if they are completely filled according to the players' quota, then a uniform meat grinder reigns here, few people manage to survive longer than a minute. A slaughterhouse literally on every corner and peace cannot be found anywhere, despite the interesting terrain with an abundance of shelters implemented in one way or another. You don't have to put in a lot of effort to kill the enemy: what for you, that the enemies have enough a couple of successful hits, and if in the head - then all the opponent is killed instantly.
All cards have their own flavor: they look very different, there is a fish market on the seashore, and the foot of a volcano, and a small town with narrow streets; Point Blank. And so the entourage is very different, and schematically different from each other, thanks to which the gameplay on them does not repeat itself in essence.
The shooting mechanics are well implemented, it may seem to some that the recoil is not strong enough, but do not forget the positioning of Battle Carnival: no one was going to make it a new Battlefield, so that it was super realistic, they tried to make it an extremely perky, dynamic shooter, which would break the stereotypes established in this genre and successfully perform the key function of absolutely any game - entertain the players.
The main thing is that the new game does not step on the rake of its predecessor, which, in pursuit of profit / donation, has sunk to the sale of helmets that protect the heads of its customers from headshots - this is already a grandiose imbalance in the balance, which is difficult to compensate for. So far, the donation has been implemented quite competently, from the things affecting the gameplay, one can single out weapons and trinkets that improve individual characteristics of the character, but there is just a small bonus, and not a legal cheat that gives a clear superiority over other gamers.
Taking into account that the game will be available for free to everyone, it is difficult to find fault with the quality of its graphics and sound, and there is even no point in trying to find fault. She looks quite modern to herself, even if not like The Witcher 3 or Assassins Creed: Syndicate, but she will definitely not hit her face in the dirt. The voice acting also raises no objections, both in terms of special effects and in terms of music. If you don't like the same music, you can turn it off in the settings menu without any problems. During the testing of the game, no bugs, lags or other troubles were revealed, which is very pleasing. Especially in the context of the fact that Battle Carnival is a free game, once again it is impossible not to focus on this.
The developers from Zepetto managed to prepare a very solid product - this can be judged already now, several months before the full release. As we noted above, for any game the most important thing is to entertain the players, and Battle Carnival copes with this task brilliantly. She still has no obvious flaws, except that I would like a more intelligible system for selecting opponents. It is not very fair when a beginner player with a zero level is slipped an opponent with a 40 or even higher.
At this rate, many may not want to at all, if they are killed faster than they can figure out what's what. If Battle Carnival avoids the "rake" that Point Blank entered in its time, its popularity will not fade away for a very long time.
