A common problem - with the beginning of flowering plants, more and more people complain of seasonal allergies, deterioration of health, weakness, nasal congestion. To prevent these ailments, we propose to study the flowering calendar for allergy sufferers 2018. It will help you navigate when to expect problems, and take preventive measures in advance.

Symptoms of seasonal allergies in adults and children

The most common type of seasonal allergy is hay fever (hay fever). Its symptoms can be different:

  • runny or stuffy nose (allergic rhinitis);
  • frequent sneezing, dry cough;
  • possible pain in the ears, throat;
  • frequent lacrimation, eye inflammation, pain, itching (conjunctivitis).

Severe hay fever is pollen asthma. In addition, seasonal flowering can provoke Quincke's edema and urticaria in people. Pollinosis can occur at any age, in children, adults, old people. Children's hay fever often turns into bronchial asthma, proceeds with severe congestion of the ears and nose.

When to expect allergies?

It is very important to study the flowering schedule in advance so that the disease does not catch by surprise and does not disrupt the plans! Moreover, it must be borne in mind that there are several types of seasonal allergies:

  • Spring (usually in April-May) - occurs when trees are blooming;
  • Summer (in June-August) - with flowering meadow grasses, iconic;
  • Summer-autumn (in August-September) - when weeds bloom.

In the spring, there is the first "wave" of deterioration in the health of allergy sufferers, since willow, cherry and willow begin to bloom in April, birch. Herbaceous plants at this time are just beginning to grow; in May, clover, cornflower, chamomile are the first to bloom. A little later, the flowering of lily of the valley, cinquefoil, lilac and bird cherry, dog rose and hawthorn begins.

The most difficult period for allergy sufferers is summer, when many species of plants bloom. This is a carnation, elecampane, St. John's wort, viburnum, cornflower, clover, chestnuts continue to bloom actively. In July, ragweed blooms in the southern regions, motherwort, sow thistle, hemp, and wheatgrass begin to bloom. They continue to flourish and grow in August. Plus, in August days, fruits begin to ripen, sunflower, foxglove, thistle, quinoa, nettle bloom.

With the arrival of September, the allergy does not end, as ragweed, nettle, thistle thistle and quinoa still bloom. This continues until the end of the month (longer in some regions), and then for allergy sufferers, the time comes for the weakening of the disease.

In addition to the plants mentioned above, other wind-pollinated flowers, trees, grasses also cause allergies (see table).

Plants within families

Family Plants
Birch Birch, hornbeam, alder, hazel
Plane Sycamore
Beech Beech, chestnut, oak
Cereals Soft wheat, sowing rice, sowing rye, corn, sowing millet, sorghum, barley, sowing oats, bluegrass, timothy grass, fescue, wheatgrass, foxtail, bonfire, feather grass, bamboo, reed
Haze Mary, quinoa, hodgepodge, beetroot, spinach, kohija
Compositae (weeds) Sunflower, ragweed, lettuce, bitter wormwood, cornflower, thistle, calendula, aster, Jerusalem artichoke, succession, dahlias, zinnia, rudbeckia, marigolds, daisy, yarrow, chamomile, tansy, tarragon (tarragon), chrysanthemum, arvecillus, elecampane, coltsfoot, calendula, marigold, artichoke, burdock, chicory, dandelion, butterbur, milk thistle, leuzea

Unfortunately, seasonal allergies can return in late autumn, during the period of leaf fall. The fact is that pollen often settles on the leaves and when we walk on them, it gets back into the air.

This is general information, and you can find out specifically what blooms and when in your city you can use the service https://yandex.ru/pogoda/moscow/maps/pollen. This is a very handy Yandex map for allergy sufferers, which shows the concentration of pollen from plants and trees in different places.

Why is it important to consider the flowering schedule

Like many illnesses, seasonal allergies are easier to prevent than to be treated or "carried on your feet." Therefore, having studied the calendar, you can think over your actions - take a vacation for the time of active flowering, leave for another region, start taking antihistamines, update the first-aid kit with antiallergic drugs (sprays, drops).

The mummy is a popular prophylactic agent against allergies. It is recommended to drink it for prevention a month before active flowering.

Another tip - clean the air conditioner filters, check its operation. This will also help protect against hay fever.

When to start preparing? It is important to understand here that there are several climatic and natural zones in Russia, so the flowering time for each region will be different. To help - a map of pollen for allergy sufferers, which clearly shows that in the southern regions flowering takes longer and begins earlier than in the northern ones. In the Krasnodar Territory, ragweed blooms until October, in the Crimea - other allergenic flowers.

  • Eye and nasal drops help relieve swelling and improve the condition;

Ko Lipe in May - sunny and hot

The fabulous island can be reached exclusively by boat passing by the most picturesque places. I sailed early in the morning and immediately felt the strong humidity typical of the tropics. And what a heat it was! 33-35 ° C is a daily challenge for most people. At night, nothing really changed - 26-27 degrees Celsius. All the inconveniences are compensated by the beauty of Ko Lipe. It seemed to me that I was in a fairy tale. The Andaman Sea is an incredible combination of blue hues.

Best beaches in Ko Lipe in May

Ko Lipe has three beautiful beaches that are definitely worth a visit. Take your camera with you to arrange a photo session. So:

  • Sunset Beach (lagoon with huge rocks peeping out of the water);

I liked Pattaya Beach for its developed infrastructure. Life is in full swing here. Any tourist will find something to their liking. For a small fee, you can have a Thai massage overlooking the sea. Thai are professionals in their field. On the coast there are many restaurants serving national cuisine. Seafood is always fresh and delicious.

Bring your swimming equipment with you to learn how to snorkel. The Andaman Sea is teeming with colorful nimble fish that you just want to touch with your hand! And if you want to eat fish, then go fishing and feast on your own catch. Be sure to sleep in a hammock under a palm tree at least once. The sound of the surf will quickly break into a serene sleep.
